dwarf Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Qore is free no? I've downloaded episodes for free from the US store anyway, I guess it changed?
Pit-Jr Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Qore is free no? I've downloaded episodes for free from the US store anyway, I guess it changed? They sometimes have free promotional episodes but i think theres normally a price. I could be wrong though
dwarf Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) Oh right yeah, I probably downloaded one of the free episodes. Just checked and it seems they price it at $24.99 annually, or $2.99 per episode. Thinking about it, I'm probably confusing it with Pulse, which is free. Think I'll check out that free Qore thing, see what kind of effort Sony put into them. Edit: screw this all, I've seen Pulse and Qore before, resume normal banter. Edited February 15, 2010 by dwarf
Ryan Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Yeah, I may pick up the occasional issue but...not convinced at all. Same. Can't ignore it if there's a good offer/beta/demo/whatever for 99p.
flameboy Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Well anything that helps prolong free PSN, im all for it though ive personally never bought Qore Thats the way I look at it, if methods such as this remain profitable then we need to hope they do so in enough numbers to keep PSN as it is now free..although I do think the paid stuff will be those extras that appeared in that spreadsheet, not what the service is now.
Jon Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Like the way EA integrates all it's games online, I also like the ability to upload your own videos from in-game. My First attempt. http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/16909578
dwarf Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Anyone think another Wipeout HD DLC is possible? Or was StudioLiverpool disbanded? Would really like some new content, played it online after not visiting the game for a while and was enjoying it a lot, the newest patched version (not sure when it was released) seems to have got rid of multiplayer lag. Hopefully the franchise won't die so soon. ------ Also, with so many remakes of games being made these days, why are none of them my favourites? :/

Detonator mode is rather brilliant, but I'm struggling with Zone Battle at the moment. I just don't get how to play it properly yet =S
dwarf Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Zone battle is weird. Basically you have to tread a fine line between boosting through zones and keeping your health. My advice is to save up lots of speed pad energy until it's maxed or near maxed, then boost, or if you're running low on health make sure to have 2 zone pads worth of energy before absorbing it. Also, avoid zone barriers like the plague. If you hear the narrator bitch say 'barrier', make sure your finger is above the shield button. And remember, its usually better to fall off the track or scrape the walls for a bit in order to avoid them.

My Zone skills also officially went up a notch, as I just got the trophy (silver) for reaching zone 50 using only airbrakes. Did it on my first proper go as well Only just though, conked out on zone 50. Still, happy to finally have that trophy.
CooInTheZoo Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) Just snagged Little Big Planet on eBay for £11! EDIT: Also just won Uncharted: Drakes Fortune for £12. Wesley Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Is there any way I can get an NTSC PS1 game to work on my PAL PS3?
Emasher Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Anyone up for some Bad Company 2 Demo tonight? Just message me on PSN and I'll send a squad invite.
Ryan Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Is there any way I can get an NTSC PS1 game to work on my PAL PS3? Wouldn't of thought so. When I got Policenauts, I used a chipped PSX.
Diageo Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Picked as beta tester for some new Littlebigplanet thing, anyone know what it is?
Tyson Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Speaking of Little Big Planet, I just bought that beast. Anyone up for some games or whatever you do on it? (Haven't even opened it yet so I don't know :P)
CooInTheZoo Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 If only I could! Dying to get the PS back online. Played through the first 4 levels or so of LittleBigPlanet today. I really like it, but god are the controls funny. Flicking the left joystick up and down to move further and back from the screen, as if your moving between grids. Why can't I just free run closer? I guess it is primarily a kids game...

Stewilo2005 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I'd be up for some LBP or anything that gets me away from the stress that is Demon's Souls :P.
Emasher Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Has anything been said recently about the PS3 ports of Castle Crashers, or Tales of Vesperia(SP)?

Daft Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Has anything been said recently about the PS3 ports of Castle Crashers, or Tales of Vesperia(SP)? Castle Crashers for PSN: Progress Report Hello PlayStation.Blog residents. Emil Ayoubkhan here from The Behemoth. We were graciously granted access to the blog to update everyone on our progress with Castle Crashers for PSN. I’m here today to talk about our new volleyball minigame that we will be including in our upcoming version of Castle, but before I get into that, let’s talk about the release date. This is pretty straightforward actually as we don’t have one yet. We’re looking to finish sometime this year and as soon as we can narrow it down to a specific month, we will be able to talk about this more. Now back to the to volleyball minigame. Here are some of the finer points: Play co-op or vs your buddies Local or online play From 1-4 players per team for up to 8 player matches Variable stats based on character Use magic attacks to place 8 new magic status effects on the volleyball Cool new serving and spiking moves Available AI teammates or opponents Play as any character you have unlocked Play 1, 3 or 5 matches against your opponents Leaderboards to track the best in the land It’s basically like playing volleyball with your friends but you get to replace good sportsmanship with explosions, magic, and weaponry. As we get closer to the release, we’ll start revealing some more features and additions. What will they be? How will they work? What will they do? Stay tuned for more. http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/02/25/castle-crashers-for-psn-progress-report/ oh dear http://kotaku.com/5482328/ps3s-suffering-from-global-network-lockdown It's not a network error, it is a hardware fault. If you do not have a slim or a newer 80Gb model, do not switch your console on.

What a shitter if so, theres people on forums like 1up reporting that game saves breaking and trophies being wiped out.
Daft Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 It might have something to do with the date (leap year and all) but best play it safe an don't switch it on. Not using my PS3 is going to be hard. I's how I watch my downloaded series on TV, I've got two blu rays on rent and I desperately want to play through Heavy Rain again. ...I guess I could complete Mass Effect 2... ......naaah.
