ReZourceman Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) They've confirmed it will be based on Ultimates. And Paj: A) Watch Incredible Hulk. (its great) B) You need to remember Marvel Studios are COMPLETELY seperate from the money grabbers Fox. Marvel Studios are run by Marvel. They are Marvel. You should have total faith in them because of what they have started to craft with Hulk and Iron Man. Edited June 3, 2009 by ReZourceman
Paj! Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Oh fine then. I might actually read Ultimates then, for once. I keep meaning to buy comics and stuff....but I hate the idea of parting with precious penny. And torrential rain don't work for me, for whatever reason.
ReZourceman Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Wait wait wait... Have you not read Ultimates? What the fuck is it with peopel, and them having not read Ultimates...
Dante Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Bad news EvilMurray! Hollywood is slowly working its way through history (distant or recent) for material to remake, revamp or reboot, and even a masterpiece like COMMANDO is not immune. 'Katy' forwarded us a sidebar bit from an Aussie mag called RCI, claiming that COMMANDO was being eyeballed for the redo treatment (right along with action flicks like CLIFFHANGER and RED DAWN). Not much info, so I checked with someone else who would know -- and they have indeed "heard whispers" of an update of the flick (the idea has apparently been kicking around for a while now). The 1985 massacre starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a retired elite soldier whose daughter is kidnapped to coerce him back into service, sending him on a vengeful rage against his former comrades, an effeminate adversary and an entire fictional country. [rec]2 details: Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza return as directors, The story takes place hours after the events of the first film, Actress Manuela Velasco returns as the reporter "Ãngela Vidal", The sequel will have the same "claustrophobic concept" of the first film, seen through a handheld camera lens, A release date of 10/10/09. Small Trailer
Konfucius Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 What's up with them? They can't remake these movies, what made these movies so cool were the original actors. I read a while ago that Rodriguez wants to make a sequel (instead of a remake) to the first Predator movie and have a cameo of Arnold Schwarzenegger. that's a much better idea.
Slaggis Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) I just came. I love the "Death saved the best......till 3D" line. Though, nothing will top the 3rd which was brilliantly trashy horror at it's most fun. Cannot wait to see it in 3D. Edited June 7, 2009 by Slaggis
Paj! Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I can't really be arsed with the idea of films like Final Destination and the Saw series. Death scares me enough, they just rub me the wrong way, the inescapability. If there were zomg amazing films I could maybe appreciate them.
Slaggis Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I can't really be arsed with the idea of films like Final Destination and the Saw series. Death scares me enough, they just rub me the wrong way, the inescapability. If there were zomg amazing films I could maybe appreciate them. Totally different movies, really cannot compare what is basically torture porn to final destination which is more trashy shocks with a big element of humour thrown in for the sheer ridiculousness of some of the deaths. Saw takes its self so much more seriously, which is completely off-putting. -- Scream 4 News Both Cox and Arquette are definitely back according to Wes Craven himself, though the rest of the cast will most likely be entirely new. He also believes they have (or, are about to) sign not only a deal for Scream 4, but one for Scream 5 and 6...so a new trilogy. Wes "might" be directing, and the original Scream script writer is still working on the script. I'm praying it's even vaguely as amazing as the original movies were.
ReZourceman Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Oh god. Seriously it has to have a solid storyline or it can just fuck off. Don't tarnish the originals!
david.dakota Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Don't tarnish the originals! Did you see Scream 3? Garbage. Scream and Scream 2 were fantastic though
Paj! Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Scream 3 wasn't AWFUL. It was just mediocre and bad compared to the previous two. They even missed out the chance to redeem itself, by having a RUBBISH pre-credits kill. Considering the ones in the first 2 films are so good. Plus I have a fetish for Parker Posey. She was hilarious at points in it. But yeah, I predict just more versions of Scream 3, slowly getting worse and worse. If it's funny, I'll be slightly happy though.
Tellyn Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Confirmed that Samuel Jackson and Scarlett Johansson as well as Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are signed on for multiple movies. Should please ReZ.
ReZourceman Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Should please ReZ. Pfffft old news. The exact number of films is 11. (Which....I multiple orgasm'd at)
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 "Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow" I'm going to die a little inside.
Wesley Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Agh, more Final Destination and Scream? Final Destination movies have gained popularity based on their "oh no that's horrible yet I can't look away" factor, and raping it over and over. And then attempting to attach a story as to how these teenage idiots can see into the future of death's plan. Booooring, by the fourth movie this is really getting boring. Also, Scream? Lame. I was 8 when I watched the first and saw through the crap it was then. Any... decent films coming out? OOOH. A sequel to The Decent is coming out, but it's based on the "other" ending. Instead of her waking up back in the caves, she doesn't wake up. How great was that ending... blugh. An alternative ending for the weak American crowds. For anyone who never watched this British made film then I suggest you watch it! 85% on Rotten Tomatoes - ranked 8th scariest film overall. Anyway, here is the trailer for the sequel, don't watch if you haven't seen the first and want to as it contains spoilers...!
ReZourceman Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I'd be amazed if they made half that With Jackson in? I think its highly possible. They've practically announced half that amount anyway (and probably all will have him in...possibly)
Paj! Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I'd like to see what they'd do with a Thunderbolts movie. Just bringing back Green Goblin and Venom for a laugh.
ReZourceman Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Hmmm. GG and Venom aren't classic TBolts IMO. They were only in it for about 20 issues of a 130 issue+ run.
Paj! Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Well I think I only ever read Thunderbolts when they featured in other people's comics. I read Avengers/Thunderbolts, which was a bit shit. Venom and Gpblin just feel so unerringly classy.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I think the industry should be making adaptations of the real quality comics, not the superhero drivel. I so would like to see a Transmetropolitan movie.
