Stewilo2005 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Hii, just wondering if anyone has a spare Dead Island key from one of the previous humble bundles? The deep silver one I think. I'm not just after it for free btw. I have all the Origin keys from the EA bundle except Dead space 3, and a few other steam keys. I'd love to discuss it in PM with anyone willing to trade with me ^_^
flameboy Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 HEY! My shiny new Toshiba laptop made IGN's best gaming laptop as the budget option! I knew I did good in the end http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/10/04/the-best-gaming-laptops (I have slightly different configuration though...8GB of RAM for example)
Cube Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 This game got an early access Steam release. I couldn't resist
Jamba Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Anyone had a chance to try The Inside World yet? I bought it on account of the art and loving it so far. The main character is a wonderful simpleton as he's been in a tower most of his life and there quite a lot of politics and religion even if not taken very seriously. Will report back with mooooore
Sheikah Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 So Gone Home, the critically acclaimed (and down right awesome) interactive story game is reduced to £7.49 for one day. Jamba Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Right so here is my review for The Inner World: Do you like point-n-clicks? Then find the time/money to get this game, period. The Inner World combines a beautiful and intriguing graphical style with some wonderfully off the wall design, such as a world built on the inside of a sphere, not the outside like ours. This is all backed with a melodic and inquisitive musical score that binds it all together (I could happily listen to the opening menu music for quite some time). The human-like inhabitants all have stripey arms, legs and nose, apart from the main character Robert, who seems different from everyone else with his flute nose. The adventure starts with Robert going on a quick errand to rescue a necklace stolen by a pesky pigeon but he quickly finds himself being sucked into an adventure to discover the many secrets of the Inner World; which is a lot as he's never left the castle before! Through his journey you meet a wealth of very original characters and combined with the delightfully naive Robert lead to some great writing with a nice dry sense of humour. The voice acting and translation in itself is superb considering that the game was written in German and any slip ups are almost unnoticeable. The mandatory puzzles are also top class, encouraging you to explore and use that point-n-click crazy logic to allow you to progress. Many of these give Robert and the other characters a great opportunity to make you smile, particularly Laura the female lead. There is also a robust hint system for those that find this kind of game a bit too much of a challenge so you never feel held back from enjoying the story. Completed this in 7 or 8 hours or so but enjoyed every second. A wonderful world with great characters to fall in love with.
Sméagol Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 So you made me google it. Your review could use some links . Anyway the art style looks great and I love the humour..

Jamba Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Was anyone not particularly impressed with The Binding of Isaac? It got a whole bunch of attention and everyone was saying how great it is but I'm finding it kind of boring and random. Suppose I should have looked into it a bit more to find out who it was made by... Also, does anyone seem to not be able to skip the bloody intro? Feels like the whole thing was put on to PC in some massive rush where they forgot to make it properly Steam compatible.
Happenstance Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I loved the Binding of Isaac, according to my Steam library ive got 29 hours on it. Its just one of those games that I found perfect for playing while watching something on my other screen and keep running through again and again trying to make it further.

Feels like the whole thing was put on to PC in some massive rush where they forgot to make it properly Steam compatible. I do find it an incredibly frustrating game as I find it hard to gauge any "progress" for me a rogue like needs to have a hook that makes you feel like you are progressing Rogue Legacy has it's leveling system plus items you find, Tokyo Jungle had it's story hooks and animal unlocks for example. For me I don't feel like Binding of Isaac has that....I've maybe played about 4/5 run throughs and not felt like I've got far and not sure I will go back to it.

gaggle64 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Some pretty massive discounts at Green Man Gaming (.com) right now - just grabbed CIV V: Brave New World for about £7, CIV V Gold edition is less than £8, major discounts on Dawn Of War II and Space Marine too.
Sméagol Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Rumours are Tell Tale got the license to make a Game of Thrones game. If it’s true, then I’ll either going to be super hyped if it doesn’t follow the main characters and is simply set in the same world (like Walking Dead), or super disappointed if it does.

Yeah I heard this too. Good news if it turns out true.
