pedrocasilva Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 That looks like a carbon copy of Hot Shots/Everybodys Golf (I owned that for the PSP). Looks good though.Camelot invented Hot Shots so they're in their own right
pedrocasilva Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Announced for North America: CAPCOM® JOINS FORCES WITH CAMELOT TO DEVELOP WE LOVE GOLF!TM FOR THE WIITMImmersive Golfing Experience and Flexible Tee Times Thanks to the Wii RemoteTM SAN MATEO, Calif — Sept. 14, 2007 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced a partnership with Camelot Software Planning to develop We Love Golf!™ for the Wii™ home video game system. Best known for developing Hot Shots Golf and the Mario Golf series, Camelot has a proven track record of creating entertaining, successful sports video games. This latest title transforms the Wii Remote™ into a virtual set of golf clubs, creating the most immersive golfing experience available off the greens. Capcom plans to release We Love Golf! in North America in 2008. “Camelot’s pedigree in this genre, coupled with Capcom’s creative expertise, is a virtual hole in one,†said Nique Fajors, vice president, marketing, Capcom Entertainment. “Combining an already great game concept with the exciting innovations possible on the Wii is a winning formula for an amazing experience for gaming and golfing fans.†We Love Golf! presents a realistic golfing experience with a fresh new spin, incorporating the Wii Remote’s unique motion-sensing functionality. Players will use the controller to choose clubs, line up shots, swing and even add a touch fade or draw with a flick of the wrist. Retro_Link Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 TGS 07 Trailer http://www.gametrailers.com/player/25146.html haha, "We Luv Golohu!" Not sure about the controls yet and not really convinced by the whole 'twist for spin' thing, as I'm not sure if games can apply it accurately enough. But other than that, looks great!
Cookyman Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Hmmmm still no idea if its online. I like golf games I really do, but not buying any till we get an online one.
Helmsly Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Some shots from Famitsu http://www.famitsu.com/sp/070918_welovegolf/
barbapapa Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Is it foolish to still hope for a Mario Golf? God I loved that game.
Helmsly Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Is it foolish to still hope for a Mario Golf? God I loved that game. Not at all, I'm sure Nintendo will make a Mario Golf for the Wii sooner or later.
OU812 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Not at all, I'm sure Nintendo will make a Mario Golf for the Wii sooner or later. Helmsly, check your PM's.
Maiky-NiSuTe Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Indeed i am still hoping for Mario golf but if i look at this game it is the next Mario golf without Mario. Camelot and Capcom should make this game in to the new Mario golf and i am sure they will
dannbrownn Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 This is looking better and better, i can't wait to have a bash. I wonder what will go down with mariogolf as well.

Cookyman Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 We Love Golf Interview Producer Hironobu Takeshita swings in for a chat with IGN about Capcom's first sports game. Article here Now heres the interesting part: IGN: Is there going to be an online mode in the game? Takeshita: We get asked this a lot! All I can say is that it's under consideration. Although you can play with up to four players offline. That sounds like no online to me - under consideration my arse! Hmmm yet another golf game with no online! so thats Tiger Woods 07 and 08, Pangya! Golf with Style plus its upcoming sequel, and We love Golf all having no online thats ridiculous! How hard is it to make an online golf Wii game???
Guest Maase Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Can someone explain me the Tourney mode? One Friend talked about that :X
Retro_Link Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 Game features Mii Support! albeit on human like bodies to fit in with the other characters!
James McGeachie Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Hell that's better than just having straight Mii support, it's terrible how you can barely customise Mii bodies at all.
dazzybee Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I'm praying this game nails the controls!! Am I the only one who thinks someone should make a full game out of Nintendos control scheme in Wii Golf?
Maiky-NiSuTe Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 is there a release date announced for this game?
Retro_Link Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 I'm praying this game nails the controls!! Am I the only one who thinks someone should make a full game out of Nintendos control scheme in Wii Golf?Nope, that is one of my most wanted games!Wii Sports Golf, 18 holes, loads of courses, weather condition, light conditions etc... But all kept fun and accessible with the simple controls! I get the feeling this game will have more depth to the controls, like including spin etc... but I hope it's still alot of fun and not at all complicated, because then it'll be a must buy for me! I think the release dates are still 2008 TBA.
Hellfire Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Jill!! Also this game got pretty good review scores from Famitsu. Of course that could be due to Capcom moneyhats :P
Dante Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Jill!!Also this game got pretty good review scores from Famitsu. Of course that could be due to Capcom moneyhats :P Also Chun Li, Apollo Justice & Arthur. :p
Hellfire Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I would've prefered Phoenix, but still, pretty damn awesome
Mikey Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 As someone who used to play real golf, I can honestly say, Wii Sports golf is shit. I hope you can at least swing the club like a real club without it hooking.
