Charlie Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 http://youtube.com/watch?v=D3xLzrfioUA Seriously not for the faint-hearted and that's only a few pictures. The commentator on MOTD said they aren't actually allowed to show pictures of it because its so bad. OMG, they just showed it. Absolutely disgusting. You can see that he's completely snapped the bone and it looks like the foot is detatched from his leg.
Eddage Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Just saw it on MOTD it really was horrific, you could see the bone... I have to disagree with Noodleman though, I don't think it was no where near intentional. The picture that he posted doesn't tell the whole story, it really was just a late tackle which you can see from watching it in motion. Still a horrible thing to happen though On a merrier note, Man United destroyed Newcastle again, I used to think that Newcastle matches were possible games where points could be dropped. Clearly not when the Magpies are in this state!
MadDog Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 It was so intentional its not funny, how could possibly not be intentional, look where the ball is and look where his foot is. From that pic it looks in intentional, but i dont think it was. It was shocking. :( :(
Ice9 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I don't think it was intentional, stupid yes, intentional no. To be honest though you do see that kind of tackle every so often, and nothing would of happened had Eduardo's studs not been dug in.
Gizmo Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 It's one of those things. You know you don't want to watch it, but then again you do. Like when someone says "don't look", you know you shouldn't but your curious as to why you shouldn't.
Ramar Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 The injury was in no way intentional, though. It wasn't there to cause injury, though it may have been a little late, but it didn't even look like that was the case.. A high studs showing boot to the shin is always going to cause a fucking injury. Even if you've got shin pads on, its gonna bloody hurt. Anyway, I've not managed to see the injury because I went to watch Norwich yesterday for my old mans birthday. Norwich > Barnsley > Liverpool > Inter Milan hehe. Yesterday started so well, I got my Milan ticket in the post, then it went tits up. Fantastic.
nekunando Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I saw it on MOTD last night.. imagine I will see it on MOTD2 later aswell.. but yeh, it looked like the foot just totally broke apart from the rest of the leg. I had just been watching SAW IV beforehand (which didn't make me flinch once) and yet I found the tackle very difficult to watch. You just imagine it happening to you and... oooo.. I feel really sorry for Eduardo
Platty Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I can't seem to get youtube to work but I found this http://www.footytube.com/2008/02/23/arsenal-v-birmingham-eduardo-injury/ Dunno what to think really. Was a bad tackle but Taylor didnt intentionally go for him, it was just mis timed. Im not even sure it deserved a red. some pics
Guest Stefkov Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 It looks horrible but tell me why it was intentional. All you saying it was, what does Taylor have against Eduardo to go at him like this? The match was only 3 minutes in, Taylor couldn't have been aggravated that early into the match. There's been nothing between those two players I've seen in the media or wherever. All you saying it was intentional need to get your head sorted out. It was just a late challenge.
Noodleman Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I dont think anyone is saying Taylor intentionaly meant to break Eduardos leg. What I am saying at least is that he had no intention of playing the ball and wanted to give Eduardo a kick. As Andy Gray would say "Welcome to the premiership".

Tellyn Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Holy mother of god, that's horrendous. I saw it on the TV and on the back of a paper today, you can see the bone. Fabregas was almost sick apparently.

Taylor was just unfortunate to be the one who commited it, and Eduardo the poor guy who fell victim. I hope Dudu recovers quickly, poor guy will miss Euro 2008 which he worked so hard with Croatia to get to.
Roostophe Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I just hope the injury doesn't mean his playing days are over. He's only 24. But I'm certain his injury definitely isn't as bad as David Busst's.
kyletherobot Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 That's the one Schmeichel had to have counselling for isn't it. I hate all these leg break pictures and videos but I just cannot stop watching them.
Platty Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I remember the Busst one. Schmeichel ran away and threw up. Damn was horrible. Wanted to go pub to watch the final but im sitting in doors watching instead and my god spurs are playing the best I have ever seen them. Chelsea are all over the place. berbatov, Keane and chimbonda have all come close! Come on you yids!
Gizmo Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Holy fucking shit that Buust picture is horrible. I only glimpsed it and had to close the spoiler tag, but bloody hell, that in motion...
Dyson Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Get innnnnn! Though against the flow of play I must say... 1-0 to the Chelsea
Gizmo Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 1-0 Celtic vs St Mirren. Abysmal. Only rescued by a Nakamura free kick 5mins from the end, and apparently it was never a free kick either. Got away with it.

gmac Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 thank God for Nakamura, that was a horrendous game
Ramar Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Get innnnnn! Though against the flow of play I must say... 1-0 to the Chelsea Got to go for the lesser of two evils, so keep it up Chelski.
Platty Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 1-1 berbatov penalty! COME ON SPURS. To be fair they deserve it more on their performance! C'MMAAAANNNN
kyletherobot Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 game on. come on spurs. aaron lennon to get the winner.
