Think of it like a pornography theater: Like it or not, somebody somewhere in here is masturbating.

Classic

Otherwise...I hate to point out the obvious here but Rez and I are friends in real life and he has a gf. Wasn't actually doing anything other than joke around!

You'll soon find out that on the N-E forums, everyone has cybersex with everyone, regardless of sexual orientation and/or other relationships.

Absolutely no idea what you're talking about. :heh:

ok. The argument that it's culturally shaped for men to be men and women to be women is one side of teh coin. If we've been encouraging this behaviour for centuries then clearly the end result is an eventual breakout of other gendered possibilities.

The other argument is that modern society encourages 'unorthadox' genderisation; that individuals are given the choice to define themselves rather than adhering to social/cultural norms. Some might argue that people have always felt the need to re-define themselves, other would argue that the percentile of the population 'misaligned' has fluctuated over the years. As devil's advocate, I was suggesting that it's not just that society is more accepting of differnet personalities, but that society and modern culture almost demands that we individualise ourselves in order to feel more unique and special.

As I say; I was playing Devil's advocate. The fluidity of human gender is of course something historically defined by cultures. But I think the human condition of wanting to be 'special' to some degree also affects human behaviour, and subsequently the gender choices made. It's a question of how one should feel defined that is of the utmost importance; and how society deems definition is also at question.

Personally I 'hate' that anyone can feel that they are utterly defined by one pastime; one hobby or aspect of their lives, as if being a snowboarder automatically notifies other people of the precise person that they are. To some degree, it is a matter of people whom wish to dispel stereotypes end up re-enforcing them through another channel, and I guess it's just some element of human nature that causes them to do so, especially in a society where individualism is such a nonchalant thing.

Well thanks :) It was meant to be a temporary joke avatar, but I do rather like it so maybe it will be a keeper.

Gay Times' new run of posters, in response to an accusation that it is trying to "recruit" people into becoming gay.

I hate the first one, since I hate that type of gay lifestyle.

Second is the best.

That one of the cartoons of the women is atrocious...what the fuck is that? How fucking demeaning to women everywhere..how fucking celebrity obsessed.

Makes me a bit sick. Saying what, oh you can have Dirty Psychotic Poon on one hand, or some male model?

I'm actualy angered by that.

But surely they've only made that because they are being "accused of trying to recruit people into becoming gay". It's not like they would normally have such a poster in their magazine, surely?

(I laughed, anyway).

Don't get angry Paj. The adverts are soaked in a large dose of sarcasm - you can't really recruit people to be gay so they're making fun of what those type of adverts/recruitment drives would be. It's clever, not vulgar, well the third one is vulgar too, but you get me.

Is there any particular spot to lick or is the whole area fair game? Also what can one expect from such an act? ie smells, tastes etc. In any case I'm wiling to do it ^^
