Emasher
I haven't herd anything about these games for ever and since they look like hardcore games as aposed to mini game collections i'm a bit more interested in them now. did i just miss the thread saying they or one of them had be cancelled or are they still in development? Hellfire
We know next to nothing about these games, but while hammer is an action game and has heavy competition, day of crisis sounds interesting.
IMJ
Both games should still be coming. Remember, they're Nintendo (published) games. So they're ready whenever they're ready. Usually they announce it with a large batch of media (trailer, screens, hands-on etc), then they go off radar again until they're nearing completion. Some time ago, there was this single screenshot of Disaster, it didn't look too interesting tbh. The theme is what interest us most. Hopefully its gameplay will be compelling and appealing. As for Project Hammer, it's in the hands of NST i believe (Wave Race: Blue Storm, Ridge Racer 64 and some other games). They're pretty decent. Has mostly done conversions and sequels, so this should be their first real effort. The game looked fairly complete already. I guess they've been giving time to expand and diversify on the gameplay. Both games are original 'hardcore gamer' type games, which the Wii needs to compensate the ports, mini-games and non-gamers titles. I expect this E3 (in July) will be the time they resurface again, along with other (new) titles.

Fierce_LiNk
I think it could be years before we see these games actually released. Wouldn't surprise me, and it would make perfect sense, as well. Nintendo haven't even released their bigger titles, such as Super Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime 3 yet, and I think they'll be wanting to get them out of the way first. In a weird way, Hammer and Disaster have kinda disappeared off the face of the Earth, so I guess it gives Nintendo a chance to just play around with things for a bit, and see how it turns out, rather than having intensive pressure to release these games this year. mariosmentor
Well we did get a neat little clip for Day of Crisis which looks pretty sweet but it all depends. Looking at the gameplay I got a definite Hybrid Heaven feel from the general set up. Without the monsters and turn based combat of course. I dunno there is just something odd about it. Konfucius
They were very unfinished when we first saw them, I think the little we actually saw was specifically put together for the show and there are actually little playable areas. In Hammer the enemies didn't even have shadows so they were clearly unfinished. For instance look at Crysis, that game looks incredible at this time and will still be in developement for quite some. Cube
From a small clip it looks like disaster has over-the-shoulder shooting bits, and action-button-cutscenes.
DCK
Nintendo hasn't given us any info on upcoming Wii titles except Super Paper Mario and one trailer of Super Mario Galaxy. Those two titles should be as alive as Metroid Prime 3 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

nekunando
..we haven't seen anything of H.A.M.M.E.R. because they're are taking time to make Reggie the 'hero' and recording all sorts of phrases about taking names and so forth.. ..but.. just imagine... if that was true.. Remember, that expo isn't due in October, right before the holiday season kicks in. So it'll be about games we already know they were coming. Nintendo said previously that they will still have their press conference at E3 as usual, I believe Sony and Microsoft do too. It's just that all those expensive stands are gone. Anyway, we'll see what comes from it.

E for All Expo is seperate thing from actual E3, and is open for everybody. E3, which is restricted to 1000 or so guests, happens in July.
SimonM7
Project Hammer better have "If I had a hammer" in there as a theme song. If I had a hammer I'd hammer in the morning I'd hammer in the evening All over this land I'd hammer out danger I'd hammer out a warning I'd hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters All over this land If I had a bell I'd ring it in the morning I'd ring it in the evening All over this land I'd ring out danger I'd ring out a warning I'd ring out love between my brothers and my sisters All over this land If I had a song I'd sing it in the morning I'd sing it in the evening All over this land I'd sing out danger I'd sing out a warning I'd sing out love between my brothers and my sisters All over this land Well I've got a hammer And I've got a bell And I've got a song to sing All over this land It's the hammer of justice It's the bell of freedom It's the song about love between my brothers and my sisters All over this land Okay so maybe just the first verse. Ren of Heavens
With so little info, I guess theyre pretty far from finished. I bet they wont be released until 2008 at the earliest. But what about Batallion Wars 2? Wasnt that in playable state last september on GC? I guess we'll hear som info on it soon. Late summer release maybe? My predictions now: Latter half 2007: Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Batallion Wars 2, Fire Emblem, Wii Music. 2008: Smash Bros. Brawl, Animal Crossing, Kirby, Wii Health Pack, Disaster, Project H.A.M.M.E.R., DK Bongo Blast, Forever Blue.
McMad
Project Hammer was playable at E3 2006 so I think we'll be seeing it sooner than expected, maybe Summer/September time.
Fierce_LiNk
True, but I hope they add something to stop the game becoming repetitive. It looks like it could get very boring really quickly.

I guess you've never played games like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden before? Hopefully if Hammer follows in their 'Hack n' Slash' footsteps then the game turn out fine. Still I worry that the controls may cause fatigue among gamers, especially because it doesn't like much like a 'pick-up and play' game but more of a 'sit down for an hour or two' type. Aye, I've never tried DMC or Ninja Gaiden before. So far, though, we've only seen short clips of this, and it appears somewhat unstructured. Like, "there's an enemy, go bash it." Maybe once we have details on why we're bashing things, story, etc, maybe it'll make more sense.
