Paj! Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Wikipedia says she was born Feb of 1988 which makes here 19. She's really talented for someone so young.
harribo Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 She's really talented for someone so young. I'd hardy call having a good voice and looking hot being talented.
Paj! Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Lol, what? Isn't having a good voice being the definition of being talented? Being hot isn't, but singing is. Oh yeah, did I mention I realised I have that exact T-Shirt that Pikachu is wearing? :p
harribo Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Oh yeah, did I mention I realised I have that exact T-Shirt that Pikachu is wearing? :p Yes you did and so do a LOT of other people.
Paj! Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I MCR. I need to get over them though. I could learn to love AFI or someone like that.
harribo Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Anyone on here like Ash? I've heard some alright songs from them.
Dan_Dare Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 ALSO I have just stumbled across Battles, a math-rock band... and let me just say... wow. I mean, these guys are astronomically good. This is fantastic. Any fellow fans? High Five. I believe I ranted lyrical about these guys a bit back. Their album and Lp's melt the shit out of my face. Twice.
Oxigen_Waste Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 High Five. I believe I ranted lyrical about these guys a bit back. Their album and Lp's melt the shit out of my face. Twice. It's fantastic, isn't it? I'm in awe! They're bloody brilliant. Mirrored gets my vote for best album of 07, so far.
Fierce_LiNk Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Anyone on here like Ash? I don't like Ash. I fucking LOVE them. One of my favourite bands of all time. Whats your favourite tune, Dante? Mine is A Life Less Ordinary, with Angel Interceptor coming in a close second.
gaggle64 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Last night I dreamt I torched a music store because it was doing a big sale on Mark Ronson's new album. I'm not joking even for a second, I really did. At least, I think it was a dream. PS. I do also enjoy a bit of Ash, Girl from Mars, Shining Light and Candy being personal favourites.

It really is. the texture and depth of their music just..it just boggles the mind, but does so without ending up sounding mechanical or too confusing. Truly, one of the best bands I've come across in years.
Platty Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I'm back from Latitude festival! Had a wicked time, But it went so so quick It was an amazing festival with so many different things to do, will defo go back next year. What I saw: Thursday: Nothing really, got there about 4pm set up tents and got wasted Friday: Hot Club De Paris Kevin Day Paul Tonkinson Bill Bailey Midlake Magic Numbers Alber Hammond JR New Young Pony Club Kate Nash Saturday: Seasick Steve The Hold Steady Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah CSS The Good, The Bad & The Queen Cabaret Tent for a few hours Sunday: Ra Ra Riot Cherry Ghost Josie Long Adam Hill Alan Carr Charlotte Hatherly The Rapture Jarvis Cocker Arcade Fire After the bands each night we either went to Guilty Pleasures (Cheesey disco which was great) or the indie disco in the woods or by the lake stage which all run till sort of 4 in the morning. Sat night we went to the cabaret tent where I saw some of the strangest acts ever! A woman with hooks in her back swinging in the air and stripping was probably the highlight! The weather held up, only rained once and was really hot the rest of the time! I may post some pics later and let you all see the bearded festival platt
Ashley Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 You should have gone to see Annuals so someone other than me will have heard of them :p
Platty Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 ;504793"]You should have gone to see Annuals so someone other than me will have heard of them :p Yeah I wanted to see them actually but I didn't manage to get moving till about 5pm on the saturday after a very heavy one friday night/morning. Annuals were on at like 2pm I think. I missed a lot of bands due to drinkage : peace:
Ashley Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 It ruins lives you know Platty. And it ruins potential forum discussions :p Check out 'Fair' by them. I love that song. Im currently addicted to . Its mesmorising. And once again proves Veronica Mars wins for music :p

Did the band have there songs played in Veronica Mars?
Oxigen_Waste Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Aight guys here is a good question - What is your favourite Nirvana song? Mine is Pennyroyal Tea by some distance... None. I hate them.
Ashley Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 See that you like Louis XIV by looking at your last.fm artists list Ash. Did the band have there songs played in Veronica Mars? "the bands" is a bit cryptic and pluraly. If you're talking about Louis XIV then yes. The song "Finding Out True Love Is Blind" was featured in 1.20 M.A.D. because yes im that cool that I remember the episode name and number :p Although I can't do that for every song. I have a website for that instead.
Slaggis Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur anyone bought this? Its an album of famous artists covering John Lennon songs for charity. It's not bad actually, it's wierd hearing different artists singing the songs. Does anyone know where I can download music videos from (for free), or is there not such a place?
Slaggis Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I Could not stand to hear modern artists butcher John's songs tbh. Same applies to the albums where artists re-imagine Beatles tracks - it just sounds wrong... I'd be the same, but it's for a very could cause, so I decided to buy it.

Ashley Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I like that song Ash I found out about them from Last.fm recommended page. They are good. Although FOTLIB is a bit milder compared to the rest of the album. My personal favourite is "Pledge of Allegiance"
Goron_3 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I actually think Umbrella is the song of the year... SO CATCHY!
