Daft Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Everyone should check out Danger as well. I can't wait until he comes to London.
Dan_Dare Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I'm listening to some Black Sabbath at the moment, and I've got to say: You cannot beat listening to immortal rock legends who are from your hometown! You just can't! It's all about Electro legends round these parts- Pulp and The Human League, yo.
DomJcg Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Mmm human league, Leg-ends in their own right, *goes back to BHG*
Letty Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Everyone should check out Danger as well. I can't wait until he comes to London. Oooh, I like that!
Roostophe Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 It's all about Electro legends round these parts- Pulp and The Human League, yo. Is that so? Sounds interesting and something to be proud of. But the legends around here all but created what is today's rock music. You've got the Sabbath and the Priest, plus 1/2 of Led Zeppelin came from nearby towns. Then we've got Musical Youth, Duran Duran and ELO.
Daft Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Oooh, I like that! You might like this quite brilliant remix of Sebastian Tellier's Divine by Danger: I could probably PM you a link if you want to download any of these.

Bluejay Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Everyone should check out Danger as well. I love Danger. Is there anything else out apart from the EP. An album in the works? yeah. s'funny how one of history's cruelest means of execution has become a peace symbol when you think about it. You had to earn crucifiction back then, and for a reason. back to Justice: If you like them, you'll like Boys Noize. Keep name dropping but nobody seems to pay attention to me. Pearls before swine, verily! I listened sir. I listened. See you there Daft, I will be with 7 or 8 school buddies, but I'm sure Coolness will recognise you, and we will hide no doubt, and see you from a safe distance. Internet people are scary. Any idea on who the support will be?

Any idea on who the support will be? I was thinking that earlier, I have no idea who is supporting. Hopefully not Metronomy again. It says this on Danger's myspace: So I assume there is an album in the works. No idea when it will be out though. Like I said in another thread, I'm a f*cking nice person!!! :p So feel free to say hello...although I get the whole weird internet people thing. Also everyone listen to Villains (As far as I am aware they only do remixes): If you can find their remix of Hot Chip's Ready for the Floor, it is awesome.
Dan_Dare Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Daft, you got the Justice resmixes Ep? their remix of Waters of nazzereth is utterly mind blowing. 'how do we possibly improve on this bass line?' 'I dunno, shall we add more phat bass and see where that goes?' 'Sure. let me put this grenade in the effects machine first though, oui?'
Daft Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I have a lot of remixes (I have 11 D.A.N.C.E. remixes ) but that is one I don't have. Who's it by? The only Waters of Nazareth on I have is Erol Alkan's Durrr Durrr Durrrrrr Re-Edit (with Pase Rock guest drop).
Roostophe Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Wait what? you don't like the pop sensations! Actually, I do. But they never became "Immortal Rock Legends" like Sabbath and Priest.
Daft Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 It's Justice, remixing themselves Cheers! Downloading it now.
Dan_Dare Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 you'll love it. It's phatter than Beth Ditto through a spyglass.
Daft Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 you'll love it. It's phatter than Beth Ditto through a spyglass. It's pretty good. I'm still not sure if it one of the better ones. But like most of them I'm sure it'll grow on me until it is the definitive version. These are some of my favourite remixes that are somehow related to Justice: Justice - D.V.N.O. (LA Riots Bootleg Remix) Justice - Phantom Pt. II (Boys Noize Remix) Vicarious Bliss - Vicarious Bliss Theme (Justice Remix) Fatboy Slim - Don't let the man get you down (Justice remix) There are loads more but most of them aren't on youtube annoyingly.
somme Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 A couple of friends and I were discussing the other night that if Placebo had not entitled their forth album "sleeping with ghosts" and had instead called it "sleeping with kids" they may have gotten better exposure.
Paj! Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 A couple of friends and I were discussing the other night that if Placebo had not entitled their forth album "sleeping with ghosts" and had instead called it "sleeping with kids" they may have gotten better exposure. ---- Ghosts are funnier than kids anyway. ------ What is the "best" NIN album? Or one that I should get? I have their very first, and their brand new one.
weeyellowbloke Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Wow, Imperial Wax Solvent...... The Fall....... get. Just when I think Mark E. Smith can't get any more fantastically bizarre after Reformation Post TLC he comes out with this. Liking Taurig especially.
killthenet Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Yeah, fantastic album man. The 12 minute long version of "50 Year Old Man" is a highlight, and "Taurig" is incredible, just totally bizarre that it's on a Fall album.
Sanchez Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 The LA Riots remix of DVNO is a favourite of mine, it's much better when you aren't listening through muddy youtube audio.
chairdriver Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I bought Santogold's debut album today. I just love her whole bag. I bet it will be the album of my summer.
Mr_Odwin Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 ---- Ghosts are funnier than kids anyway. ------ What is the "best" NIN album? Or one that I should get? I have their very first, and their brand new one. I highly rate The Downward Spiral and the Broken EP.
