chairdriver Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Ryan Tedder has just spoken to a magazine about Kelly Clarksons upcoming album (due by the end of this year), and has said: I'm unsure what this means is it that she's going back to "Breakaway" style, or something different? I love. Garbage FTW!
Paj! Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Her last album came out last year. Bit of a hurry... i'm looking for good tracks to use in an arty film. Realistically no real songs.
Hem Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Good lord, I am enjoying Way Out West. And why has it taken me this long to get into Jefferson Airplane? I suddenly realise I've lead a bitter shadow of the life I should have had up until this point. Which Way Out West albums? I've only got Intesify.
Gizmo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 There are a fair few albums I'd give a 10/10 to: Grace - Jeff Buckley The Colour And The Shape - Foo Fighters Funeral - The Arcade Fire The Bends - Radiohead OK Computer - Radiohead Kid A - Radiohead Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers Toxicity - System Of A Down Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine Fixed. HTTF is nowhere near as good as those three.
Dyson Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 "Looking for some happiness but there is only loneliness to find.." Spot the lyrics.
Hem Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Happiness seems to be Loneliness And loneliness killed my world How could you guess, when you’re only thinking of yourself, and How you look to other girls?
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Fixed. HTTF is nowhere near as good as those three. And In Rainbows > The Bends. OK Computer > Kid A > In Rainbows > The Bends > Amnesiac > Hail To The Thief. I won't even list Pablo Honey, as it is probably one of the worst records ever recorded. It's just horrible.
chairdriver Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I love. Listening to All Is Full Of Love by Bjork at full volume on my iPod walking home from school. Actually like emmersing yourself in another world, where lesbian robots are forced to make-out in deep dark secret.
Gizmo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 And In Rainbows > The Bends. OK Computer > Kid A > In Rainbows > The Bends > Amnesiac > Hail To The Thief. I won't even list Pablo Honey, as it is probably one of the worst records ever recorded. It's just horrible. I wouldn't go that far with Pablo Honey, but it's definately nowhere near the quality of the rest of their albums. Imo: Kid A > The Bends > OK Computer (very close with the first three) > In Rainbows > Amnesiac > Hail To The Thief
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Pablo Honey is the worst album ever recorded, if you ask me. And Creep is the worst song ever recorded, too.
Roostophe Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Fixed. HTTF is nowhere near as good as those three. Hail To The Thief is an awesome album! And In Rainbows > The Bends. OK Computer > Kid A > In Rainbows > The Bends > Amnesiac > Hail To The Thief. I won't even list Pablo Honey, as it is probably one of the worst records ever recorded. It's just horrible. Radiohead have never made a naff album. Pablo Honey has songs that are so very enjoyable to play on guitar. I wouldn't go that far with Pablo Honey, but it's definately nowhere near the quality of the rest of their albums. Imo: Kid A > The Bends > OK Computer (very close with the first three) > In Rainbows > Amnesiac > Hail To The Thief The only reason people cite Pablo Honey as naff is because of how much it reeks of Britpop. The smell doth remain in The Bends, but Radiohead got a chance to create their own sound for this one. Britpop was dead come OK Computer. Pablo Honey is the worst album ever recorded, if you ask me.And Creep is the worst song ever recorded, too. And there was me thinking it was Scissor Sisters with the worst songs ever made.
chairdriver Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 And there was me thinking it was Scissor Sisters with the worst songs ever made. I don't understand why people tell obvious lies. Have you actually listened to RnB recently? If not, I can basically sum (most of) it up in one word. Crap. At least I Don't Feel Like Dancing is a good dance track. I know it's not chivalrous to give an example of something worse to prove something is good, but realistically, you cannot say they are the worse songs ever written. Funny fact: My favourite SS track is "The Skins" which is a bonus track on their debut album. I love when random songs that weren't supposed to be included are good.
Slaggis Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 And there was me thinking it was Scissor Sisters with the worst songs ever made. Filthy Gorgeous is a great track!
Roostophe Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I don't understand why people tell obvious lies. Have you actually listened to RnB recently? I have a special ability in which I can actually tolerate RnB. But this also means that hearing Scissor Sisters makes we want to eat my own feet! And I hate Cheese!
Platty Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Saw Long Blondes last night. Wasn't too great to be honest. They played a lot of new stuff tho.
Gizmo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Just got my Linkin Park and Jay-Z tickets woop. No comment.
Roostophe Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 No comment. He could have done worse. He could've bought Scissor Sisters tickets.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Just got my Linkin Park and Jay-Z tickets woop. I retract my comment about Pablo Honey. I had forgotten about that freak of nature of a collab.
Dan_Dare Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Amnesiac has some shit hot material on it. I'm not cool with people deriding it as a black sheep- it usually means they just don't like complex Radiohead.

All the others are fantastic.
Paj! Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I bought Meds by Placebo and Let It Die by Feist. I love both. Placebo is probably my favourite rock band ever. Garbage doesnt feel like "rock". They feel funny.
killthenet Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Just got back from The Fall at the Astoria. Weird to see them in a large, commercial venue, but was fantastic nonetheless.
Dan_Dare Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 keeping with Radiohead some more: who else has that special 2nd disc of In Rainbows? it's rather good
thirtynine. Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Just got back from The Fall at the Astoria. Weird to see them in a large, commercial venue, but was fantastic nonetheless. Astoria is small for a big venue. If you know what i mean. Going to see foals on monday. Win.
