Paj!
Or in other words why take hardcore vocals and put it into hardcore music? Well the two sounds are very different. And it just puts me off. Metal is good live, but when you aren't in that atmosphere, it grates on my ears in most cases.
Triple_C
A quck summary of what I'm listening to at the moment: The Editors - An End Has A Start Good first five songs, second five are a bit... meh. Babyshambles - Shotter's Nation Some good stuff on it. Much better than Babyshambles' debut (steaming pile of crap) but not at all comparable to any Libetines stuff. Soundtrack to Garden State Zach Braff has great taste in music, and I'm really liking the Shins because of him. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible Very good, perhaps not as great as their debut, but still some solid music in there.

Triple_C
Really? You're the first I've heard say that. How'd you compare it to the Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things albums?
DomJcg
Really? You're the first I've heard say that. How'd you compare it to the Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things albums? i think its better than Dirty pretty things, but worse than the Libertines, the Libertines are just better sounding and flows better imo

Daft
My sister bought me tickets to see Underworld at the Roundhouse in Camdem for my birthday (Yay!)......Basically I've never really listened to Underworld so I need an uber catch up because I don't really like going to gigs not knowing what is going on. Paj!
Did anyone ever get into a band because of the group's name? Well not pretending to like a band because of the name, but I was attracted by certain names. Panic! At The Disco is a cool name, and I love their stuff. Same with Siouxsie and the Banshees, Dragonette, Garbage etc. Though it's more the substance that does it for me.
Shorty
I checked out less than jake, leftover crack, strike anywhere, nightwish, nerve agents and the new pornographers because I thought their name sounded cool I think.... or at least I filtered through lists of things people said I would like and picked out the ones with decent names.
