Lol, I know, I just thought of it when you posted after me. Every time I see that art now I just think 'bard'. :)

Saturday Night Wrist is secretly the best shoegaze album ever.

It's hiding in plain sight.

Deftones are secretly one of the best bands of our generation when they want to be. They got caught up in the nu metal fuck-tide but they produced some absolutely killer material. White Pony is, to this day, one of the best albums I ever bought.

So...Spotify invites? I've tempted two of my friends but have a few questions:

1) Can I get them if I sign up for one month of Unlimited?

2) Can people within Europe but outside of the UK use it? One of my friends is from Belgium and I know Eenuh had issues but this states its available in Europe.

No idea about number 1 but I'm currently using Spotify. Though I had to let Jim sign up for me as it wouldn't allow me (not available in Belgium), and apparently he has to sign in to my account every two weeks to keep it working heh. =P

1 - I vaguely recall hearing someone say they got invites from a month of unlimited, though very well may be wrong.

That said, it's free and no-invite-needed now! Though without invite you only get 20 hours per month or something :/

BEFORE YOU

MY WHOLE LIFE WAS ACAPELLA

Oh Kelis.

Flesh Tone is a lovely album, so short and one solid whole (it all runs together), with brilliant production and all elastic electro-dance stuff, but with that typical Kelis, slightly left-off center thing going on.

I unabashedly love this one: spotify:track:72lL8UnO5eNaHaiedG5PKP

Yeah there is that. Maybe I can say "here try this and if you like I'll sign up for a month" (whats £5 for sharing the love of music with amici (Razz?) eh?). Plus I suppose it would answer the Europe question.

Cheers peeps :)

I love how you can tell who added songs to the KNEE playlist without actually looking at the name.

And I've listened to a few of Kelis' new stuff and I enjoyed it. Emancipate Yourself (or whatever its actually called) ended up on The Return of Fanny Wotsit.

Aaaaand LCD's new album is on there. Good times :)

Kelis love. It's a really good, short, repeatable listen. I love Home.

I'm liking Brave, it's struck a chord with me.

Autechre all over my ears.

Been giving them a listen, definitely up my street!

.....o_O

It must be a vast street :p

But yay for them. My favourites are LP5 and Amber :)

Since Spotify decided to fuck up 50% of my iTunes songs too (name-wise, and just renaming things bizarrely), I've gone on a purge. Most of the stuff renamed ae just bad remixes or shit I don't want anyway, so yeah, been purging, and generally stream-lining. Came to David Bowie, and I ALWAYS SKIP him because I can't face the concept of a Greatest Hits with 40 out of context songs and awful album art.

Was almost tempted to delete them, just to have them rid of me, but then decided to asses and sort them all out into albums. Turns out I have the entire of Aladdin Sane just lying around mixed up :). Listening now, stunning etc.

I need to sort out Tori Amos next, got way too many shit remixes and live stuff that I never listen to. Oy, 675 tracks to sift through... :P

Great album. Sad to know it'll be their last though. Hopefully one last tour before they scatter.

What's your fave track? I started loveing All I Want, then Dance yrself Clean, then Pow Pow, and lately Home. My album-of-the-year so far inanycase.

To anyone whose interest was piqued by Christina Aguilera's new album having so many amazing collaborators (Ladytron, Le Tigre, Sia, Santigold etc), prepare to be disappointed/horrified.

Previews for all the new songs

Just absolutely, ridiculously awful. And bland. (relative to her previous stuff, regardless of what you think about them)

Just got to say, that Goldfrapp Remix of Depeche Mode is beyond amazing. It's been stuck on repeat. Honestly can't get enough of it.

Yeah kind of rocking the same vibe as you. No love for Drunk Girls though? Instant classic. :hehe:
