Gaijin von Snikbah Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I think most people who are dissing this game have never played a point and click adventure, and dont know what they are missing. Its almost like they take one look at the graphics and decide they dont like it. Though an adult realistic looking point and click adventure would not suck either.
Goron_3 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I can't wait for this game tbh. Looks great (love the graphical style) and i love point and click adventure games.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 A couple of Japan Expo vidoes. Its my duty to inform the shadow dwellers. Interesting music. Wiki & Zack Oui Oui
Jamba Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Ah when i get this game then i wont say that im going to play it. I shall just declare it "Sexy Time"
D-Day Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 OK, well new-ish drama on this game, check it out http://gonintendo.com/?p=21676 A Muslim person has found this trailer to be offensive as he said that the call to prayer 'Allahou Akbar' can be heard in the background. This will definately cause a stir. The video clip is also in the link so you can be your own judge of the situation.
jammy2211 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Lmao, there was someone on the Capcom forums who said that someone might find it offensive. That's just awesome, in a political-correctness-is-ruining-our-world-way. What's offensive about playing a prayer in a background?
Zelda_Rulez Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 They've already removed it from the game after some complaints. I don't see what was offensive about it, some people are a bit too sensitive.
Domo Kun Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 I don't really understand this issue, or why they chose to include the call to prayer in the game. I suppose it's kinda like having someone preform the lord's prayer over the top of this scene instead...? Either way, if someone's offended, it's not like taking this small sound clip is a big deal. However, this was bloody rude - As an avid Wii gamer, and point and click enthusiast, I was checking out this gametrailer vid of some of the new Zack and Wiki gameplay. Though I´m agnostic, I grew up in a Muslim family and visited Pakistan a number of times. Therefore, I can safely say that both 20 and 44 seconds into this clip, you can hear the island savages called into prayer with a sound clip of a Muslim call to prayer, “Allahou Akbarâ€, and then mimic the way of prayer. Oh well...
DCK Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 People being offended too quickly is one of the most annoying things in modern society. Grow some skin, people.
Gizmo Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 This and the row over Resi5 just shows how ridiculous the whole system of being politically correct is way over the top.
gaggle64 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 At what point did this thread become the Daily Mail?
Mr.X Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I searched on websites like play.com, gameplay.com, amazon.co.uk, etc. but I can't see it listed anywhere? Does this mean we won't be getting it this year?
Helmsly Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Gamespot did a little demo of the game on their web show 'on the spot'. They stary playing Zack and Wiki about 4-5 minutes into the show so you can skip to that part: http://uk.gamespot.com/shows/on-the-spot/?tag=subnav;on_the_spot This game looks cool, I didnt know anything about it until today.
Zelda_Rulez Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 The Nintendo Europe site has listed this game with a release date of 07/12/2007. Link: http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/en/GB/games/gamepage.do?ElementId=2InxgxzjQi9IjX1QTW0ZGRdaQUa1Cv98
Goron_3 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I'm definately getting this, so long as it doesn't bomb lol. Who else is interested in it?
pedrocasilva Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I'm definately getting this, so long as it doesn't bomb lol. Who else is interested in it?I'm very interested.
seanraaron Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 My wife really likes adventure games and bemoans their apparent death, so this might actually get her to pick up a wiimote when the time comes. I'm keen as it looks pretty. As long as the control scheme is good and the mechanics fun, it's golden.
