harribo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 i wanted to see Matt Bellamy get sexiest male and Gerrard Way get hero of the year.
Dan_Dare Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 anyone care to post the results? I feel the need to scorn something....
CoolFunkMan Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Muse didn't get best live band!? WTF!?!! ¬¬ At least they got best British band, and rightfully so. They should have got more awards though. Yeah, I'm a bit late I know...
The Bard Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 anyone care to post the results? I feel the need to scorn something.... Yeah, same. NME is our common enemy
Saminthehat Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Is it just me or are the klaxons smashed? lol, I hope not, those guys are my heroes. Then again, a lot of band act smashed just to look rebellious... Oh and come on, Kasabian deserved the award, they're f****** brilliant live.

killthenet Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Very controversial decisions from the NME this year. They've certainly become much more alternative in the last 12 months.
Noodleman Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Loved how "rebelious" NME where by having the trophys be a fist sticking its middle finger up, screams of 15 year old teenage angst. Clearly vying for Kerrangs main readership.
harribo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Like Kerrangs main readership would dare listen to something that isn't scene, sorry I mean emo.
Saminthehat Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Have you even seen Muse live? I very much doubt that Kasabian can come anywere near the greatness of a Muse live show. Alright, you got me there. I just here amazing things about Kasabian and have seen a few of their live shows.
harribo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Muse live awards: 2002 Kerrang awards Best British Live Band 2004 Q Awards Best Live Act 2005 Brit Awards Best Live Act 2005 NME Awards Best Live Act 2006 Q Awards Best Live Act 2006 Kerrang awards Best Live Band 2007 Brit Awards Best Live Act
killthenet Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Just because Muse have won a lot of "Best live act" awards, it doesn't make them the best live band. There are a lot of bells and whistles added on with all their theatrics to disguise the fact that their live show is just as boring as their records.

Saminthehat Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Look your obviously a Muse fan, I'm obviously a Kasabian fan. It's only natural that we are gonna back up our fave bands. I in fact like Muse as much as Kasabian but think their live act is better than Muse.
Cube Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Best Solo Artist - Jamie T No, just no. Did they mix up "Best" and "Worst"?
Platty Posted March 3, 2007 Author Posted March 3, 2007 For those of you who missed the awards then you can watch it online for free here: http://www.nme.com/awardsplayer/1
