I need to come up with some interview questions as my sister emailed me and asked me if i would like to think of a few to ask the Kaiser Chiefs, but I don't really have any idea what questions to ask an indie band. any ideas?

"Who the fuck is Ruby?"

Ruby isn't such a popular name anymore, therefore people named Ruby tend to be fairly old. In other words, it's a song about shagging grannies. And that's just wrong :nono:

I quite like Kaiser Chiefs, just like the the Fratellis. catchy tunes.

"do you think lyrics play a main role in good music? if yes, so why havnt you implimented that into your work?"

Did you really predict a riot?

If so where was said riot?

Surely it was the riot of people complaining about their crap music..

Wow, some really helpful posts in this thread.

Ask about their inspiration growing up and the like or other more unique questions nobody will have asked them before. Be original.

Ask them how they came about, how they were discovered, what they have in store for their next album etc.

Cheers for the help. I agree that the questions should be more original, because they are gonna be pummelled with the same generic questions through their various interviews. How about something away from music, like 'What do you do when your'e not partying, gigging e.t.c, i.e hobbies?'

"hows your relationship with your father? is it a "friends" based relationship or a respect built one because hes teh father and one of you is the sun?"

from that you (or psychologist) can analyse their personality aparently.

Who thought up the name Kaiser Chiefs, or how did you think it up.

I believe they're named after a South African football team. A team that ex Leeds United player (they're from Leeds and support Leeds United) Lucas Radebe used to play at.

They're probably asked that at every interview!
