DazzeL Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 But ultimately is the online fun? How is the lobby system? To answer the most important part of that question, yes it's fun! It's also a good enough format that we might be able to do some sort of league like MSC.
Tales Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Yeah, but do we have enough people? Best we could achieve is a ladder with 5-6 people. I don't think we have enough for a knock-out.
david.dakota Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 And thats a big shame. BWii really does deserve better sales figures than its getting.
dwarf Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 putting a bid on ebay for 18 quid sceptical but hey worth a shot.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Can someone give me lazy details...If I like Command and Conquer and Pikmin would I like this? I'm just very sceptical but I'm longing for a half decent online Wii experience.
Zechs Merquise Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 The first one was awesome, this looks great, I just haven't had time to pick it up and have so many good games to get through I've had to delay my purchase. When I've got to grips with it though I'm up for a league or knock out tournament.
ThePigMarcher Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Can someone give me lazy details...If I like Command and Conquer and Pikmin would I like this? I see no reason why you couldn't enjoy this as I grew up with the early C&C games and also loved Pikmin. The only thing IMO that really differs is that the action in this is faster paced than those other two so some of the strategic element is lost to a minor degree.

In that case I may as well buy it.
dazzybee Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Batallion Wars is VERY strategic, but you CAN also just go for an all out attack (though likely lose ) It's a great game and I can only imagine who much fun online is. Does anyone know if this game has LAN?
ThePigMarcher Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 ...But there are certainly strategic elements? Yes , definately. You just need to be a lot quicker with your fingers than I currently am .
welsh_gamer Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Batallion Wars II didn't make it into the Top 40, in the all-formats charts, but Midway's Game Party (yet another mini-game collection) entered at No.15!
Zechs Merquise Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Batallion Wars II didn't make it into the Top 40, in the all-formats charts, but Midway's Game Party (yet another mini-game collection) entered at No.15! Very sad, especially as it's predecessor was one of the shiniest most lovely of GC offerings.
david.dakota Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 hopefully, the game proves profitable enough to keep the franchise going a little longer. I simply don't understand why neither this or the original didn't sell better.
dwarf Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 There probably isnt a very big market for it. 'A little kids war game' probably doesnt cater for anyone other than 'us'. If you read about it then you'll buy it.
Deathjam Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Just got an email from nintendo advertising this game and it looks bloody fantastic to me. Here is where the link from the email took me Ninty Cares
MATtheHAT Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Just bought this game off fleabay, can't wait to play it. Probably take it immediately online and get my arse kicked.
dazzybee Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 dare ya.......... Bought it Played the prologue, really liking the controls and everything so far. Havent finished the first one so may plow through that first, but really pleased I got it, just need to finish my other 30 games first
Ike Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I've just seen this for £25, for 1 week only. Should I buy it?
Chris the great Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 i cant afford it yet, just had to spend £65 on a falchion before the samurai sword ban kicks in. bloody stupid seeing as how its a medival weapon, but the government seems too think banning samurai swords is more effective then dealing with societies problems. back on topic, i will buy this, the first was almost overlooked by me, which would have been a shame
Ike Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Shop called Grainger Games. They only have stores in the North East and Scotland though. They have an online shop, but I've never used it before.
welsh_gamer Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Where was it that much Ike? £27.93 @ TheHut Seeing as you're intrested in trying to find a good price I completed this on Saturday. Was ok, but not that diffrent to the first one, and I found the Wii controls harder to master than on GC. Didn't enjoy the single player mode that much, but the online mode was pretty cool, even if I only had decent games with Tales on here. Boats and submarines (the only new things in campaign mode) were a joy to play around with.
Tales Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 You forgot planes, chopters, battlestation, artillery and a bunch of different infantery units. What do you mean by "decent" anyway? >_> In my opinion the game is worth every penny. Lots of new cool units and online is great.
david.dakota Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 I've gotta agree with Tales, BWii is superb and deserves a place in more gamer's Wii's. BUY BUY BUY people!
