The Bard Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I disagree with Tom here, I liked Blood Mountain more than Levaithan...and I really can't articulate why, which is surprising, seeing as I'm good at the sort of thing. Anyway, here's my list: In Flames - Come Clarity Mastodon - Blood Mountain Lamb of God - Sacrament Trivium - The Crusade Amon Amarth - With Oden on Our Side Strapping Young Lad - The New Black Decapitated - Organic Hallucinosis Stone Sour - Come What May Ihsahn - The Adversary Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage SikTh - Death of A Dead Day Iron Maiden - A Matter Of Life And Death Blind Guardian - A Twist In The Myth These are the albums of 2006 that I loved, but the truly special ones are highlighted in bold. Just got the new Killswitch album, and it is bare good. In the face. Twice. It's kinda getting predictible though, cause with every new killswitch album, you expect nothing but excellence, and you get nothing but excellence.
Atomic Boo Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death correct yamcha also Bard: why not AMOLAD highlighted? plus Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium Jack Johnson - sitting waiting wishing Zutons album with the Vallerie song Razorlight - Razorlight
ThePigMarcher Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Poverty has meant that I didn't buy as many albums this year as I usually do , hence my top 5 only. 1, Unearth - III In The Eyes Of Fire 2, Tool - 10,000 Days 3, Lamb Of God - Sacrament 4, In Flames - Come Clarity 5, Bleeding Through - The Truth

Dan_Dare Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 basically: they're not very good, but girls like to dance to them so they get played everywhere, and sell alot of records.
bob Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Well thats what i thought! The dude can't sing - at all. The music is bland The singer is a cock of epic proportions And yet everyone masturbates at the sound of the name.....odd i think t my self.
Atomic Boo Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Well i mentioned Razorlight earlier but secretly (i agree with you) i saw them play at the oasis live and found them boring and samey. they have 2 decent songs. BTW - the oasis is a sports centre, used mainly for the big swimming pool, situated in Swindon, where i live - kind of. If you didnt know, the band Oasis named themselves after this sports centre. (i read this in a book of lists that my dad has)
bob Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I think everybody secretly agreeswith me, but no-one wants to say anything. Its like the emporers new clothes.

Shorty Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 AFI - DecomberundergroundUgh. This is the album that knocked AFI way off the top spot as my favourite band. The epitome of the phrase "turn for the worst". They turned from an interesting punk band with a unique sound to a shitty synthpop radio-friendly band more suited to the decade I was born in.
Oxigen_Waste Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 shitty synthpop radio-friendly Over 90% albums mentioned in this thread fall in that category. ^^
bob Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Over 90% albums mentioned in this thread fall in that category. ^^ OMG No way! Did he really say that!
