Im escorting the zora child to Kirakoro village. Ive just defeated the guy on the boar, on the bridge. I go into a field with archers on boars, and flying creatures with bombs. I kill them, yet they come back, leaving the carraige going around in circles. what to do?

The bomb scares the horses, which causes them to go in circles. Just kill the flying creature with the bomb first. After that it's time for the boars, and if the carriage is on fire use your boomerang.

You have to make sure that there are absolutly no enemies left when coming up to the bit where they are just about to the second gate but suddenly turn away from it.

Just one question. that man in the castle town that is asking for donations for bla bla bla of hyrule.... Can we do something or is just to waste money?

Keep giving him money. He'll eventually give you a piece of his heart.

And does anyone know how to get the goron on the southern gate to break down the wall? The hot spring water I keep giving him is always poured on his feet. You know, I'm not actually giving it to him...

Try targeting him and pressing the button to pour it? I haven't tried it, because I couldn't be arsed to get the spring water.

I think you either have to:

1) Talk to him when you have hot spring water

2) you may possibly have to get another barrel when you do the malo-mart sidequest.

Talking to him doesn't work. But it's springwater I got from Death Mountain, won't that work fine enough? And about that malo-market sidequest, I'll have to try and figure it out (I didn't even find that sidequest yet). But thanks for the guesses anyway.

First you must do the springwater barrel quest for the goron working on the bridge and later buy some springwater from him in the castle town for the goron in the south area from the castle.

Hmmm, i'm not far through the game, just about to finish filling the second light vessel as a wolf and thus far am dissapointed. I thought the first entrance into Hyrule field would be breathtaking, but it was bland, and the textures were really blurred. Kakariko village was also rather uninspired and dull. I'm sure the game will start to pick up, just not what i was expecting.

I agree completely. Not sure what was the bigger let down, Kakariko Village or a relatively dull opening to Hyrule field.

One of the few nice moments in the Link/Midna relationship: (possible but VERY light spoilers for ending):

Link Midna

GameCube version looks so much better than the reversed Wii one.

I disagree, the GV version looks very odd to me and it looks like they made the cutscenes the prefered way around for the Wii version.

I really found TP very underwhelming. Its not a bad game per se, I just found it to be very lacking in soul. Given that Hyrule is very vast the lack of sidequests was disapointing there could and should have been a lot more. Some of the items where utterly pointless and pretty much half the items I got from dungeons I didnt use after defeating that dungeons boss. The ending was lame and the final boss was far far far too easy. (I lost one heart in the entire battle). I read absolutley no spoilers before getting this game so went into it with low expectations. But something about it just doesnt seem right to me.

After finishing it I have no desire to go find the remaining poes or missing heart pieces or to even play it again. Which is a first on both counts in a Zelda game.

Again, completely agree.

Very little 'soul', hardly any sidequests, and agreed about the items.

I thought Hyrule Field looked great, but kinda hard seeing from behind the horses ASS.

Yeah, agreed. It makes crossing bridges slightly more difficult, but nothing to terrible.

I think Hyrule Field is an amazing location. I really am addicted to the music that gets played in the field. Forget warping, trekking across the entire field on horseback is something that needs to be done. :heh:

thats where the gamecube camera control is useful

You can use the C-Stick in the gamecube version to control the camera??

That was sorely missing from the Wii version!

The camera was perfect, but it's surely missed, but just to have fun. It's a problem I think a lot of Wii games will have.

Thanks for the link. Didn't like the soundtrack though Kakariko, Midna and a few of the final boss pieces are very nice.

Also it's odd, I hated the Victory theme at first calling it a bit forgetfull, but now I LOVE it. Awesome tune.

Anyone noticed how anoying the on-screen 'buttons' can be?

Havn't been on TP for a few days, been a bit pre-occupied with all the family that visited over the Christmas Holidays. I got quite a bit left to do last time i checked, must get back onto it later

Just realised that because of the game not saving I have to do the whole of hyrule castle again... Unless the game resets to before it regardless of whether you saved in there or not.

i'm in dungeon 8 now i've got the first orb out and have found the second one and got it into the next room.

i finally paid malo mart enough to buy out the shop in hyrule, you know you would think they would give you the armor as a gift after all the donations. any way i think the armor is actualy a regular of 600 rupies and the sales they talk of are only 2 rupies less.

though i'm enjoying dungeon 8 because its so easy to leave it to do side quests
