  1. Mac plays games.
  2. Xbox 360 had a solid launch, and fortunately keeps on gradually developing its line-ups. The HD-DVD player add-on is too good for words to describe.
  3. Toys R Us are still taking orders for release date Wii. If anyone wants a second or third Wii, to sell on Ebay or whatever, they're your best bet.
  4. Is Blue Dragon getting a UK release? I hope so. It's like one of the best games of the year, with that 37/40 Famitsu score!
  5. Xbox 360 has very little trouble heading its way.
  6. Halo 3, Halo Wars and the new Peter Jackson exclusive stuff has them sorted, to some degree. I think PS3 will sell more, but Xbox 360 will have the best games. As for this whole "they won't reach target", do they mean 10 million by business/fiscal year's end, or 10 million by calendar year's end?
  7. You're all moaning like nagging wives. It's a review. The game got 8.8 (that's 9/10). Now shut the hell up.
  8. Look at all you hypocrites. It's okay for "Smash My PS3" but not for Wii. Well, I find it hysterical that the PS3 was near impossible to smash (and to get the amount of damage shown in the pictures took TWO attempts) but the Wii smashed into little pieces. And the crowd cheered when the Wii was smashed, Time Square was equally pissed off when the PS3 was.
  9. Oh okay, I get it. It's just so many fanboys on this site would post something similar to your post, and actually mean it.
  10. I hope Wii doesn't slump like GC did. If it does, then it really it only a two-horse race. I think Microsoft will win. They're buying out everything left, right and centre.
  11. Er, Nintendo GameCube completely pwnd the launches of PS2 and Xbox, it didn't stop them from over-taking in the long run. Are we sure these counters are counting in-store sales, pre-orders AND online sales, and not just in-store sales?
  12. No it isn't. Nothing you say can change that.
  13. Video games rarely sell out, and when they do, it's because they're massively hyped. Zelda isn't anywhere near as hyped as Halo 2 or GTA:SA so don't expect it to sell out.
  14. Meh. It's too late to complain.
  15. People, I was on the phone to both Toys R Us and Argos (about my pre-orders) within the last few hours, and they both essentially said, paraphrased: "We can't comment on other retailers, but there should be zero issues with our stock. Some other stores may be exaggerating their numbers to get more customers." The Toys R Us rep then told me that online versions of shops are classed as separate businesses to their high-street counterparts, so GAME might be sold out online, but in-store they will be far from sold out, as they have two separate sets of Wii (1 batch for online, 1 batch for in-store). So if you haven't pre-ordered, I wouldn't worry about it. There should be many in store. You must also remember, some shops don't do pre-orders, or fly under the radar, and they're getting just as many Wiis as Amazon and Game: Tesco ASDA Sainsbury's Woolworths WHSmiths Currys Blockbuster The list goes on. I'm getting a third Wii, if it's available in ASDA.
  16. I find it fucking hilarious. Nintendo fanboys are worse than Sony fanboys. These past few days confirm this. I'm on the fence, personally. Although it's fairly "low" for a Zelda game, I always thought the 8/10 or 9/10 mark was what it'd end up with, based on the control system. The game was designed for the GameCube controller, not the Wii controller. And just for the record, I don't associate myself as a fan of any particular system. I used to love Nintendo, now I just like them.
  17. I'm wrong, at least according to IGN. I guess Sony could always force download the region lock, like HD-DVD/Blu-ray plans to in the new year, but I guess not. However, we'll find out in a few weeks anyway.
  18. Nor will the system itself. This isn't the PS3, it's not going to sell out (but I've pre-ordered mine, so I'm being hypocritical).
  19. The PS3 is region-locked. Besides the odd few launch titles, that are region free like the Xbox 360 was, the system is region locked.
  20. HDMI, duh.
  21. £18 to £20 extra? Dude, these things are so cheap to produce!
  22. My cousin got his PS3 last night, in NY. Lucky sod.
  23. It's nothing to do with HD. My CRT TV has the sockets, as do most modern chunky TVs too. It's the only way to get progressive scan on a Wii (you know, the 480p thing) and most TVs are capable of it. It means a sharper image (and it's not HD).
  24. "Graphic whores"? Really, those should be standard. Microsoft packaged it free, alongside the normal red-white-yellow plug (they're actually stuck together), so you can choose to upscale if your TV has it, or you ever decide to get a new TV. Well Sunday's approaching. Should be fun. SonyStyle NYC is making national news, lets hope Nintendo will too.
  25. Gears of War is better than Resident Evil 4. It's really that good.
