  1. I've had all 3 of my orders confirmed. I'm keeping 1 for myself, and selling the other two on.
  2. Although the Wii is miles more powerful than the PS2, their inner workings seem to be very alike (hence the countless number of ports).
  3. I met some of the guys at LucasArts in July, and they said the PS2 version is built from scratch (hence the outsourcing), and the PSP edition is based on the PS2 build. And if this was based on the Xbox 360 build (which the Vista/XP and PS3 version is based on), LucasArts themselves would be configuring it. It's not.
  4. It's a port of the PS2 version. We know this because Krome Studios (who are developing the PS2 version) are developing the Wii version, as opposed to LucasArts themselves who are doing the next-gen versions.
  5. More better-quality first/second party games.
  6. That clip is dull, agreed. But I doubt it's always like that.
  7. Good then.
  8. I was told on another site that Resident Evil 3's levels in this game haven't been "updated" for Wii. Is that true? Because it was already terrible on the GameCube.
  9. He looks a bit cartoony, but cool still. Some clichés work.
  10. I don't think it's even technically possible for Oblivion on Wii. Maybe something similar, but not that game.
  11. The computer system is credited as "Red Queen". That's taken from the movies.
  12. Bringing order back to a chaotic Jerusalem.
  13. I thought there was a bit from the movies too, in a new level exclusive to UC. Red Queen and all that shit.
  14. I wouldn't get your hopes up. Sony has their hands around Factor 5 pretty tight.
  15. There are four different zones on Live: - Recreation - casual gamers - Family - child friendly - Professional - hardcore gamers - Underground - anything goes... Only Underground permits abusive behaviour. If you swear/attack anyone in any of the other zones, you are removed from the game.
  16. I thought the Arbiter was a fantastic twist to most FPS games. Added more depth to the enemy. Halo 3 seems to be pretty much 50:50 between Master Chief and the Arbiter (second player on co-op is Arbiter by default).
  17. Well, I hoped it would create chaos, but I went far beyond expectation.
  18. Just using Game Rankings percentage/no. of reviews - can't be fussed for individual reviews: Big Brain Academy* - 70% / 29 (casual) Excite Truck - 75% / 68 Mario Party 8 - 64% / 43 (casual) Mario Strikers Charged* - 79% / 45 (casual) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - 92% / 21 Pokemon Battle Revolution - 57% / 24 Super Paper Mario - 86% / 53 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess* - 94% / 78 Trauma Center: Second Opinion* - 80% / 51 (casual) Wario Ware: Smooth Moves - 82% / 61 (casual) Wii Sports - 77% / 59 (casual) Wii Play - 60% / 42 (casual) The ones marked with a "*" are ported titles. BWii, SSBB, Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit aren't out yet, so don't count. I find the above is a pretty poor list of first/second party titles - that's my own opinion.
  19. Who'd have thought nearly 20 years later it'd be Nintendo versus Microsoft. To Microsoft credit's, they've done an incredible job in just 6 years.
  20. It also pretty much brought continuous arcade gaming to the home console.
  21. I own a Wii too, plus most of the key games on it. That makes my comments even harder to believe... I agree with you on that.
  22. Yeah, it's pretty short. Smaller development teams = shorter games. But by entertainment value, I meant it's a better experience. The game's meant to be pretty average though.
  23. The complete disregard of credible gaming in this thread is scary. No wonder the Wii is second rate - you guys seem to enjoy lapping up mediocre titles. And who gives a shit if the Wii is "affordable, value-for-money?" When has that ever become an issue? Nintendo = wallet munchers. There's nothing else to it. I'm going to say another outrageous remark: Nintendo is devaluing gaming.
  24. HS > Mario Strikers. Based purely on entertainment value.
