Oh boy, a lifestyle vid... PS Reality? PS Vita HDMI-out remodel confirmed for later this year?
-
You don't really live up to your name do you? :p AND HERE WE GO! IT'S STARTING!!
-
Getting sick of seeing the PS4 boot up sequence. Hurry up and start already!!
-
Alright! Almost there! Finally, this secretive BS will come to an end. Playstation Death 4, $599.99, anti-used games, The Last Guardian as a launch title, let's go! It's gonna be a fun night Anyone else gonna be watching on their Wii U? (Speaking of which, the Miiverse reactions should be pretty funny to watch )
-
I'm looking forward to seeing people start comparing lap times in F-Zero. It'll awaken the game's speed run community all over again! I think that these victories will keep people happy across Miiverse in general for a while too. BTW, has anyone here checked out the Funky Barn community? It's a good laugh
-
That's the US one that updates at 5PM GMT. The EU one updates at 2PM GMT. It's coming tomorrow. They obviously made a slight mistake with the original schedule list.
-
So now Miiverse has seemingly directly contributed towards two victories against game publishers. The first being Ubisoft's recent efforts to placate slighted Rayman Legends fans with the free Challenge Mode eShop download and US Ubisoft games sale and the second being Nintendo's own reaction by FINALLY offering 60hz VC games for download. Is Miiverse really as powerful as these victories would have us believe? Can it really have that kind of overpowering level of Word of Mouth marketing amongst Wii U owners (and soon to be 3DS)? I always said that it could potentially be an extremely strong force in driving word of mouth and consumer feedback, to the point where it would give niche games like Trauma Center a chance to thrive, but I never believed that Nintendo would ever cave in to our 60hz demands! Is it just a flash in the pan, or does Miiverse really have that kind of power? Discuss!
-
Yeah, Super Play used to absolutely ravage Nintendo for their treatment of PAL versions of games. Even NOM (now ONM) infamously marked down the score of Wave Race 64 for getting such a horrific PAL conversion.

I think we all need to pitch in here and bake some cookies to send to Shibata and the rest of the guys in Germany. I'm so happy! The greatest gaming news of the last 5 years at least (assuming that it's not a one off and Balloon Fight does get fixed) Let 50hz be smited now and forever more!
-
It's not just a milestone for the VC, it's a watershed moment for PAL gaming in general! I don't think most people here realise just how significant this is. It's the first time that Europe will finally recieve the non-butchered versions of games, for over 25 years, our games have been completely mangled. This is possibly the greatest gaming news of the generation so far. Finally, Europe can experience the true vision behind our games!
-
NO FUCKING WAY!!! OH MY GOD!!! THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!!! 25+ years of hurt, finally brought to an end!!! Now update Balloon Fight to the same 60hz speed!
-
I think I'll play my 60hz copy on my US Wii to celebrate its Wii U VC release :awesome:

I wouldn't say that this is Mario 64 alike at all. In many ways, it's the anti-3D Platformer as it completely flies in the face of the typical Mario 64 structure, abandons the concept of object collection and even goes into full on 3rd person shooter for a whole 2 chapters! (it invented the over-the-shoulder view that defined RE4 and its spawn - it even included the same laser sight as RE4!)
-
A victory! (sort of) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151460128936211 The upcoming exclusive demo has been ditched in favour of a Wii U exclusive "Challenge Mode" download, featuring content from the full game in Challenge mode, for free. Eh, it's not what we wanted, but it's better than a demo. At least the devs are trying something I guess, even if the suits won't let them just give us the full game
-
Well according to this guy's translation, headsets are supported via the Gamepad's headphone port at least http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=513996 USB mics are also supported

How much do you pay for your retail games?
Dcubed replied to Rummy's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Wii games. I own a US Wii (bought it because I was sick of PAL delays and I wanted the superior US versions of VC games) so I had to buy all my Wii games on import (actually worked out much cheaper than buying the UK versions, with most games coming to around £25-30 up until around late 2010). I also imported about half of my DS games as most of them came out in the US quite a bit before EU (plus they were cheaper too ) The good ol' days of importing are over though. Prices are about the same as UK B&M now and most (non-Atlus) games come out at the same time in Europe as in the US now; so importing is pointless for the most part now. -
That's standard for all Activision pages supposedly, so I wouldn't read anything into it...
-
Bungie's hubris is just disgusting. I'm glad that the response to this so far has been negative. I hope that they either come down to earth, or that this game falls flat on its face.

Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes (Wii/Wii U Online RPG)
Dcubed replied to killer kirby's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's the only game on Wii or Wii U that is IP blocked though - and that's only because it's a MMO. You're safe for any future Pokemon game, or any other Nintendo title -

The game is IP blocked... so unless he's willing to pay for a VPN, he won't be able to play. I'm sure that there will be quite a few people who will upgrade. That half price offer to people who own the Wii version is a fantastic deal. That being said, I really don't see it bumping the hardware sales significantly - many people who were interested in the Wii U version would've already have bought the console in order to get free beta access anyway and the Wii version is of course already playable on the console. It'll help, no doubt, but it's no saviour. -

This is a re-release of a game that is already playable on the Wii U. It's not going to result in a significant hardware bump... -

That's much earlier than I had expected! Good news for Nintendo in Japan. Should complement Game & Wario nicely. I don't think it or G&W will make for a large jump in hardware sales, but they should help keep the console afloat for a few weeks at least. -
Square Enix are such a fucking joke. 1.5 years of development for a HD port and all they have to show for it is a character model viewer!? Unbelievable. Bluepoint were able to port GOW1 & 2 in just 3 weeks. S-E can't even port 1 game with 1.5 years+ of development. Just outsource it already!
-
It still features the same type of acrobatic, 3rd person gameplay, just translated into 3D space (and with plenty of 2D sidescrolling sections) It also proves that they do still make those kinds of games, so Game & Wario is hardly the only type of game they make these days...
-
They just made one though! (Or are you really going to try and say that MOM doesn't feature 2D style gameplay?) They've also made plenty of other non-Wario games recently like Rhythm Heaven, RHF, Kiki Trick, AR Games and Tomodachi Collection. They also collaborated on Xenoblade, Sin & Punishment 2 and co-ordinated with Monolith on Skyward Sword. Seems to me that they've done quite a few "core" titles that aren't Wario related recently
