  1. https://mobile.twitter.com/NintendoEurope/status/312519154718605312 You may have just about beat me to it, but I had the better post :p I was one week too soon with my predicted release schedule, but not too bad all in all Shame that it's gonna have to share time with LM2 (and of course MH3U). Feels good to finally have a full schedule for 3DS
  2. Cheers! : peace: I have no issues with the NFC usage then in this case (Given Iwata/Nintendo's stance on F2P crap, I have full faith in that they wont infuse the game with F2P style tactics ) Hope the toys do end up getting used in other games. That would be cool!
  3. Has that been confirmed, or is just what you're assuming here? I'd imagine that you still can catch em all without having to buy any toys (except for maybe a few special ones that they might hold back for events/later on), but still, you never know...
  4. Any word on whether or not you can still catch all the Pokemon ingame without having to buy their respective toy?
  5. THE FINAL WEEK! And a epic OP to celebrate it! Great job guys!
  6. Yes it is. Mind you though, thankfully the Wii U has actual games (yes, games!) being released in March in all territories so hopefully this will help light a fire up the Wii U's arse. Hopefully with the software drought coming to an end, so too will the declining sales.
  7. Wii U sales are supposedly around 69K according to the guys on GAF. The fact that it has gone up from January lends credence to that theory of the January NPD sales being crushed by mass returns by scalpers.
  8. Such a shame that they grossly under-shipped FEA in the US. Hopefully it'll still have some legs at retail once they get the physical copies back in stores. Despite this setback, I reckon that it still has a chance at becoming the best selling game in the series in the US! Previous FE game LTDs for comparison's sake. Fire Emblem = 393K (First week = 76K) Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones = 247K (First week = 54K) Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance = 86K
  9. I'm a little bit into Act 2 and I'm getting the feeling that I've seen all this game has to offer already... Repetition is setting in fast and there just isn't enough skill involved in the combat to keep things interesting (I'm playing on hard mode BTW) The platforming and exploration elements weren't very interesting to begin with, but the combat was fun for a while. Now it's getting boring fast, with lots of kill rooms, samey enemies and not much evolution to the combat (all the characters seem to play the same, which kind of begs the question of what the point is of having multiple characters in the first place if all they are are glorified keys and different skins to act as bookends to a chapter) Not getting much motivation to carry on... I knew it would peater out before the end, but not this quickly!
  10. Multiply that by 649 and suddenly it's not so competitive I wonder if those Pokemon will still be catchable in the game itself...
  11. New overview trailer (new games and TOYS ARE BACK!!! ) Looks insane as ever. Nice to see it come with those lovely unlockable toys
  12. Makes perfect sense in this game - they are Toy Pokemon after all! Gold rush incoming...
  13. WHAT!? Talk about out of nowhere!? HYYYPPPEEE!! A shame that the worldwide gallery isn't free this time around I suppose it's not really fair to expect it though, considering that the running costs are surely not unsubstantial. Sheesh! This one took them a while to get out. They announced this well over a year ago!
  14. I suspect that it's not an oversight, so much as an intentional decision to increase security. It stops people from distrubuting hacked save files (which was a common form of attack on Wii)
  15. With Nintendo now offering 60hz VC games in Europe, the USD being high in value and the EU getting almost every game at roughly the same time as the US, there's very little reason to go with a US console instead of a UK one. I'd suggest going with a UK one for now and picking up a US one in the future if anything doesn't get released over here. BTW, UK and US PSUs are interchangable with every Nintendo console, with the sole exceptions of the NES and SNES (which have differently shaped plugs). Also, you can use foreign credit/debit cards on the US eShop, so long as you set your region to Brazil (I think Canada works too) - prepaid cards of course, work just fine as well
  16. Nintendo have had a unified service that runs the backend of every single online DS and Wii game since 2005 (with a few exceptions like EA's games, Monster Hunter 3, the COD Wii games and Dragon Quest X where the developers chose to run their own servers instead of using the standard Nintendo ones for matchmaking); that's why almost all Wii and DS games use the same friend code system, the same online ranking system and practically identical matchmaking interfaces across nearly every online game. The PSP never had a unified online backend, nor any sort of standard APIs for online play (which is probably why online play was much more common on the DS): The 3DS and Wii U online servers are separate from those old ones though. The decision to eschew online play on the 3DS is not because of Nintendo's online network being lacking, but rather because Capcom wanted it out in time for Xmas in Japan and deemed online play to not be worth the trouble (considering that local multiplayer is much more popular over there).
  17. Not just in the west either. The Japanese servers are also run by Nintendo themselves and offer free online play (MH3G HD is the first MH game to ever offer free online play in Japan BTW!)
  18. It's the same with every 3DS downloadable game. The game and it's save file are stored together under the same file. Mind you, there's absolutely nothing stopping you from copying your game (and its save data) to a PC before deleting it from your SD card of course. That way you wouldn't lose your save data (nor would you need to re-download the game )
  19. Wow! What a load of absolute shite! Guess they're making up for last week's awesome update. WHERE'S HARMOKNIGHT AND MEGA MAN3!?
  20. Amazon US are doing a discount deal when you buy both 3DS and Wii U versions... Of course the UK gets squat though
  21. The difference is like basically statistical noise, pretty much unnoticeable unless you look at a splitscreen video (which makes sense since that the Wii U BD drive speed and USB2 are more or less identical)
  22. Posting here for good measure as well
  23. http://www.polygon.com/2013/3/8/4078818/gero-blaster-screens The iPhone version is the only one officially announced... buuuuttt.... Of course, Nicalis are bringing out a proper version of the game HYPE!
  24. They're both completely different games, so really you should get both eventually. Still, get the Wii U one first since it's cheaper and if you like it, get the 3DS game as well.
  25. Just came in to say that Nano Assault EX is freaking awesome! Love it! Circle Pad Pro is definitely the way to go with this game (except for the Starfox style stages, don't try to control the cursor, just use the one analog stick - it controls much better that way) It definitely feels like a full retail title (which makes sense considering that it IS a full retail title), much more expansive than the Wii U game. I also finally picked up Tokyo Crash Mobs (which is really surprisingly polished! As well as bat-shit insane ), Escape Vektor (which is also a really nice game), Hydroventure Spin Cycle (which feels a bit rough round the edges - but the 360 degree stages are fun ) and Nightsky (which is very polished, atmospheric and good fun ) Ahh, good times.
