Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused?
Dcubed replied to -Dem0-'s topic in Nintendo Gaming
Shopto have it listed for May 31, so that September date on Game's site is probably a placeholder. I wouldn't really mind if it came out in May or mid June. Any later would be outright insulting though. -
Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused?
Dcubed replied to -Dem0-'s topic in Nintendo Gaming
Luigi's Mansion 2 is not in short supply and Fire Emblem Awakening is still due for release next month. I think it's safe to say that supply issues are not the reason for an indefinite delay, especially when they publically said that the delay was for strategic reasons and they have the eShop to cover additional demand. Hell, just saying that it was due to supply issues would make them look much better than just outright saying that it's for purely strategic reasons; so I guess I should be grateful that they're telling the truth at least... The thing that pisses me off most of all about this is not even necessarily the delay itself, but the fact that they pushed back its release indefinitely just 4 days before its planned release! Cheers guys! -
It was included in that deal and probably will be with this Durango one too.

FUCKING HELL!!! I was really looking forward to Devilish Brain Training this week. WHY SHIBATA!? WHY!?

Looks like the rumour is true. GoNintendo just put up this week's Nintendo Download list and it's not there http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=199812 FUCK! WHY!? Edit: Oh, official confirmation here. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/04/nintendo_confirms_dr_kawashimars_devilish_brain_training_delay Nice to know that it's entirely strategic and not a production issue. So NOE have taken after Ubisoft... well, fuck you too! Guess I'll have to question every release right up until it's in my hands now. Knowing my luck, Fire Emblem Awakening will probably get pushed back till November now instead of coming out next week -
Don't forget the Durango comes with Kinect 2. That'll no doubt push the cost of the hardware up significantly. I suspect that PS4 will probably end up being roughly the same price as the Durango, give or take about £30-40.

Oh hey. Seems that Paul Thurrott is corrobating the rumour (see from 54 mins onwards) so that means that it's probably true... He also mentions that Microsoft are launching a $99 Xbox 360, codenamed "Stingray", this November alongside Durango, as a means of making up for the Durango lacking 360 backwards compatibility and that it's around $500 for the console or $300 with a subscription subsidy. That's the worst part of it for me. It effectively means that all of these games for the console will cease to exist, the moment that the Durango's servers get shut down. It's tantamount to book burning and for that reason alone I would refuse to buy the console

Did you still get the review copy as normal? (Fire Emblem Awakening review copies got sent out almost a month ago, so I would imagine that you would've already received one for DBT by now) Would be weird if they had sent out review copies before delaying it by several months! -

I suppose we'll probably find out tomorrow when the weekly Nintendo Download list comes out. If it's not there, I'm gonna be pissed I was really looking forward to getting that one next week! -
Did anyone make an unofficial wireless adapter for the GBA?
Dcubed replied to Dcubed's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I know that one. I'm asking if anyone knows about a 3rd party wireless adapter that emulates the physical link cable (so that it would work with all multiplayer GBA games, not just the ones designed around the official adapter that got released late into the GBA's life). I remember hearing about someone attempting to make one some years back, but I don't know if it ever got released. -
Hi there. Was just looking back at my GBA games and I was wondering if anyone ever actually released a wireless link device to play non-Wireless adapter compatible multiplayer games (like Mario Kart Super Circuit, the two Kirby GBA games and Four Swords) wirelessly? I remember that someone was attempting to develop some kind of device back in the day, but I have no idea if it was ever made. Does anyone know of one? (and if so, does it work all that well?) Would be cool to get some GBA/GB/GBC multiplayer games going without those pesky wires (cause there aren't many games that are actually compatible with the official GBA wireless adapter!)

Nah, can't be; must be a mistake. The game comes out next week! Why would Nintendo pull an Ubisoft!? -
It looks like a pre-evolution or a different form of Mewtwo, but the site is saying that it's not him. Mewthree is too obvious, so what if it's a DNA splicing of Mew and Mewtwo? (With those DNA splicers from PKMN B&W2 coming back as part of the story!)
-
Yeah, they've obviously nerfed all the single player monsters (I guess that's what High Rank/G Rank quests are for!), but it's just Caedeus that I seem to be struggling on for some bizzare reason! I'm even using a lighting element dual blade and I STILL can't do enough damage. It's just plain weird!

Denpa Men 2 Beyond The Waves confirmed for Australia/Europe! (As if there was much doubt) http://www.classification.gov.au/Pages/View.aspx?sid=ev7v8i6%2bEAlnpQmoPCqPIw%253d%253d&ncdctx=4sNN9BHf2Qgy304DW6dVgj3X%2b6Nh%252fVMKjUeHUH9HXeBfFrnEv99rCjclIA3cmbnN

Is it me or is Caedeus much harder in this game than in Tri? I've failed 4 times on this quest now! (First 3 times I failed to get into area 3 and the last time I failed to rout him, despite hitting him with the dragonator twice and breaking off one of his horns) Funny how all the single player monsters seem much easier than their original Tri counterparts, but I just can't beat Caedeus! UGH!

Ooh! Looks like there's some extra content in the 3DS version! http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-3DS/Donkey-Kong-Country-Returns-3D-746102.html I don't imagine that it would be much new (or else they'd be shouting about it from the rooftops), so I'd bet on it being a Boss Rush mode and hopefully a couple of new levels. If they do include some new levels, I hope one of them is that cancelled Virtual Boy themed level! Would be awesome to see that level get brought back from the dead!

I guess the Letterbox update got lost in the post?

Aliens: Colonial Marines - Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen

Well at least he wasn't lying about the Wii U version being the definitive one -
Man I'd love to see them do some discounts on retail download games. There's quite a few I'd consider picking up in digital form (hi Mario Tennis Open and MH3U!) if they could knock off at least £20 from the asking price... Also where the hell is my downloadable version of Theatrhythm!?

That's a pretty safe bet

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

Maybe the stuff announced at that last Wii U Nintendo Direct was originally planned for GDC? -
Yeah it was. Dunno what happened there
-
The games themselves weren't actually announced, just that Nintendo would be assisting in getting Japanese 3rd party 3DS games released in the west; with at least 10 games due to arrive over here. I'd imagine that BDFF is one of them as it's one of the biggest JPN only titles (though I'd also bet on that list including Monster Hunter 4, Dragon Quest 7, Fantasy Life, Layton 6 and Layton VS AA)
-
Was planned for localisation at least. With the recent change of guard at the top of S-E and layoffs at S-E LA, I would've been a bit more cautious than Siliconera regarding celebrations... Though mind you though, one other guy on GAF was saying how Nintendo were involved in getting the game localised and released in Europe at the least (which seems plausible, given Iwata's new initiative in getting JPN 3DS games released in the west) and that probably wouldn't be affected by a change in CEO, as it would probably be risk free for S-E, so...
