General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
HOLY COW @ FIRE EMBLEM!!! No way! Good going my friend! Now, how's about localising the 7 missing FE games NOE... -
Fairy Fairies are associated with flying creatures, so they'd inherit some characteristics of the Flying type, while their spiritual nature tackles the Ghost/Dark/Psycic trio. Throw in a resistance to Fighting (cause it doesn't need yet another type that its strong against!), a weakness to Rock & Ice (which desperately need a buff) and a weakness to Normal (Denoting a lack of spiritual influence, plus how awesome would it be to see Normal being strong against something for once?) and voila!
-
Hope the rumour of a new Fairy type is true! I'd love some new Pokemon types! (Also it would give us the right to call Serebii a fairy too if he gets retyped )
-
Wow! This game is great! The demo is super impressive (especially now that I can understand what's actually going on - the Japanese demo was just baffling lol) I like how you're really limited in your moves that you can use, sort of reminds me of Pokemon and how you can only take 4/6 moves with you while you have to manage how much PP/casts you have. The actual combat control mechancs dont seem as deep as say Monster Hunter, but there's more of a focus on preparation and resource management so it has a very different feel to the gameplay. The story is also really good from what is in the demo and there's a real sense of history to every monster and area in the game Good stuff. Will probably end up getting this

Funnily enough I just did this recently. Earned about 5,000 stars from all the codes/surveys I'd been sitting on (OH GOD IT TOOK FOREVER!!!) Problem is now that I've got nothing to spend them on. I've got the soundtracks, got the SNES Wii Classic Controller, got G&W ball and the G&W Collections... When was the last time NOE added anything to that thing anyway? (Aside from the Mario Kart trophies, that I missed out on ) Weird, that kept happening to me too
-
Heh, fine. Make it at least 10 games then NOE, or Miiverse gets razed to the ground
-
Excellent! So the update is set for tomorrow then (updates are always simultaneous world wide) I bet we'll still have to wait till Thursday for our VC games though (but we should at least be told the launch lineup tomorrow). I hope for all our sakes that Excitebike is not the only game to be put up on day 1 - Miiverse will burn if that happens lol!
-
It's a wonderful game, just that it's not as good as the 60hz original... If you don't already have it, you'd be crazy to skip it! But I can't rate the Wii U VC release when I already have it in 60hz on my US Wii and my UK 3DS (not to mention its remake on the GBA) Still, it's one of the best games in the series and one of the best games ever made Just pure joy
-
Surely it's gotta be Wednesday when the update hits, cause Iwata said that the VC service launches the day afterwards (and naturally I'd expect that to be on Thursday, when the store updates as per usual) Edit: Or perhaps not... That was just posted on the US Facebook page (which is probably where GoNintendo got their info from), so maybe it really is Monday/Tuesday? (unless that's only the US that's getting it two days early? ) PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRICKLE THEM OUT AGAIN, just release a decent number of them on day 1 please! (at least two dozen!)

eShop download codes now at GAME, cheaper than RRP
Dcubed replied to Mr-Paul's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Shopto sell the physical one for £3 cheaper than GAME are selling the digital one for (hence why I'm annoyed that they're not carrying them yet :p ) Still, it's a huge improvement from buying from the eShop directly. We're getting there, slowly but surely! -
Feels so good to have semi-regular Mario Party games again I have the whole series (yes even Mario Party e, which is awesome, and the dreadful Mario Party Advance) and I still play them all regularly with my friends. Now that they're being given longer development time, they'll be much better than the likes of MP8! Really looking forward to this one, especially the AR games! (The AR modes in Tetris 3DS were a lot of fun, so I'm sure that they'll put out some real crackers in this one ) TBH, they could simply have a separate mode that cuts out the games that feature players directly interacting with each other (only a small selection of minigames in each MP actually feature direct player interaction anyway) The real reason why they don't add online to Mario Party is because online just doesn't fit the series. Each session lasts too long and a reliance on luck means that pretty much every play session would inevitably result in players ragequitting before it's over. Not to mention that it's just not the same as sitting within punching distance of that jerk who just stole that last star off you :p The social aspect of the series just wouldn't feel right online (much like Nintendo Land).

Besides, there's nothing of value on there anyway

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I WANTED IT ON SHOPTO!!! It would've been cheaper on there On the plus side, it seems that they'll have the physical download cards in stores as well Hope that doesn't stay that way for long. Come on Shopto & Amazon! Work something out with Nintendo and start undercutting Game! -
I'm only listing 3rd parties that have a history of working directly with Nintendo. Level 5 have had games localised and published by Nintendo, but not co-developed (Unless we count Brownie Brown's work with them...) As for Sora, the Project Sora studio is dead but I think the Sora the holding company still exists so I'd keep it there for easiness sake.
-
Hey woah woah woah! Just noticed something... Look! It's the Download Cards, the ones that Japanese retailers got, where they could sell them for whatever price they wanted! Looks like we're finally getting them in retail stores!
-
Nintendo Direct update time! Think that's everything. Anything I've forgotten?
-
Gonna go bump that thread now (but the new announcements don't really tell us much in the way of developer deployment TBH)
-
Oh wow! Excellent! Some of those prices are quite a bit better than buying from there directly Will have to keep an eye on that for the future... (psst... Shopto... that's your cue to undercut them )
-
Ehh, I've got the day off tomorrow so I might head down to Stratford (I live only around 15 mins away anyway )
-
It'll be even better when you have 10 Pink Pikmin trying to carry one fatty Purple one

Bit more info... Looks like MH3U combined on both platforms did about the same as Tri on Wii. Good enough Lego City Undercover doing over 100K is also much better than I had expected! 3DS is finally on an upturn; too bad that the new software did nothing to stop the Wii U's decline though (they're probably just gonna give up on it until they can relaunch it in Q3, when the "launch window" software actually launches ) -
I wonder what happens when Pink Pikmin carry an object while other Pikmin are trying to help...

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
BTW, calling it now. This game will get pushed back till 2014. The fact that they've shown nothing outside of what looks like a test dungeon reminds me of Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess' first public demos (which were similarly unrevealing and both games got 1 year long delays from that point onwards).
