Oh of course it could well be. It just seems strange that they'd bother to take the time and effort when it would be so much easier to just treat it as if it were a Classic Controller.
-
Agreed, the trailer has none of the charm of the original.

I liked Nu Trek. I enjoyed Into Darkness (cheesy riffs on Wrath of Khan and all), not as much as 2009, but I still enjoyed it. This though... Yeah, it's pretty much exactly what I was expecting when it was announced who's directing. Star Trek: Beyond Driftopia :p

Whelp! Hope you guys all enjoy watching it live, cause I'm gonna miss it now that I have to stay back at work late tonight! Woohoo!

That would be pretty surprising, considering that the Wii U currently has no support for USB controllers (even the Pro Controller still communicates via Bluetooth when plugged in). Unless it connects via the GCN controller adapter perhaps, but that's just absurd :p Seems like it would be much easier for all involved if it was just a reskinned Classic Controller, like most Wii/Wii U accessories. There's zero noticeable latency with Nintendo's wireless controllers anyway :p
-
Cool that the arcade controller is coming to Wii U, not that I'd ever use it :p I wonder if it's a reskinned Classic Controller Pro? Looks like it has a cord, so it probably is... That means that it'll work on all VC games and any Wii game that supports the CC too.

Saw that earlier, honestly doesn't sound all that outlandish to me. NST's capacity for game development has greatly diminished in recent years (with them now primarily being a middleware developer) and their last few games have felt like natural fits for mobile, right down the the atypical 3 star ranking system. I can easily see them abandoning console/handheld game development and just focusing on continuing to produce middleware for the Nintendo platforms alongside developing a big chunk of Nintendo's mobile output.

Steel Empire at last! The price is thankfully much more reasonable than its initial US release Ace Attorney Trilogy being discounted is great for me! Been looking to get it for a while now
-
Tis the season of massive discounts, FALALALALA, LA LA LA LAAAA!!!! Curve Digital be going crazy! Their discounts are mental! Time for me to stock up on their games!

In case you've all forgotten, Mario Tennis 64 is the US 60hz version. So buy it without hesitation! : peace:

Until Super Smash Bros for NX that is

Yeah, it seems that they're only interested in emulating the special hardware that was built inside of the carts themselves, rather than add ons and other hardware, like the GBPlayer functions. Looking forward to Boktai on the VC, where you have you bring your Gamepad outside and have your camera facing the bright sun to play it properly

http://www.gonintendo.com/stories/248661-japan-drill-dozer-wii-u-vc-release-to-include-rumble Drill Dozer is coming to the Japanese Virtual Console... WITH RUMBLE SUPPORT!! Well that's a good sign for the likes of Wario Ware Twisted if they're going out of their way to emulate the special cartridge add on features Though it does call into question why the Game Boy Player Rumble feature wasn't supported in Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga and Pokemon Pinball R&S... I get that they work differently from Drill Dozer, but still...

Wow! That's awesome to see! I hope he's reading this thread now! Congrats man! And keep fighting the good fight! : peace:

All that and not the one single thing that everybody wanted from Minecraft on Wii U. GG. Way to go guys!

Can't we do our top 5 and then do points rankings? (1 for 5th, 2 for 4th, 3 for 3rd, 4 for 2nd and 5 for 1st?) Just picking the one game isn't really very representative, since many people might pick the same game as their 2nd favourite (making it the overall winner). Personally, I wouldn't mind going the whole hog and choosing 10 games, but if people would prefer to do just 5, that's fine by me!

I love how it makes the same ridiculously loud noise that it did in MK8
-
Same. I'm only up to Chapter 3 IIRC, so I've got a long way still to go before jumping into the sequel :p

Man... now I miss Teletext all over again

Not only would you have no idea where your friend is, or where to go on the map (because a minimap isn't nearly detailed enough to show where the ink is), but you also forget about the squid beacons that can be placed on the map to jump to. That's a grand total of up to 16 possible Super Jump points that can be placed around the map... ... Yeah, the Gamepad screen is essential for that game...

Metro's game writers are surprisingly good actually! They tend to put out some good reads in general, better than many of the major gaming sites. Seriously! Don't knock em'! They're well worth listening to : peace:
-
Well it's news to me anyway :p It has been confirmed by Nomura now in any case, and seemingly they are the primary developer on the project (with other supporting companies helping out)
-
Going by the rumblings on GAF, apparantly it's actually not being primarily made by Square Enix internally, but rather it's being made by Cyberconnect2 (Naruto games, .hack, Asura's Wrath) as the primary developer! Perhaps there's a chance that it might actually see release after all! Take back what I said about looking finally looking forward to an internally made Square Enix game in that case

Looks like I was right! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1152368 It's using UE4! I agree. No way will everything make the cut (they actually already said as much, but they'll be adding stuff as well). There's just no way that they could build that much game with today's level of fidelity...
