Nobody is saying that they're lying. They're obviously all hearing from the same source, so it's a matter of what the source has heard is accurate or not; or, more notably, whether or not their info is complete (note that we've heard absolutely nothing about the dock itself...) The info may even be totally outdated. After all, people reported about Tegra being used in the 3DS before it was announced. That wasn't wrong, but it turned out to be very outdated and no longer accurate.

The lack of Mega Pokemon shown so far is a bit strange... Does make you think that they might not appear here... I mean, it actually does make sense if they're not in the game in terms of lore. If the characters don't end up getting Key Stones, then they can't Mega Evolve their Pokemon... Maybe they'll just not appear in every game? It's rare for the Pokemon series to ever drop established core mechanics in subsequent games, but it's not completely without precedent (night/day in RSE).

Sorry guys, not gonna be able to make it, I'm away for the weekend now.

Niantic finally responded! Took a while (and it's super vague), but at least it's something! Only took 'em what? 3 weeks? At least they're finally hiring a community manager... Seriously though, it's good that they're finally speaking. Shame it's so vague, but it's better than nothing.

I'm not gonna be IN! this week, but I just have to say that it's creepy that you came up with this theme, because it's very close to one that I was thinking of myself!

Not according to the main site... http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-us/the-rite-of-the-island-challenge/ The only thing about them that resembles a gym battle is the final battle against the island's big kahuna.
-
Nope, not according to the main site... The Pokemon has to hold the corresponding Z Crystal to use a Z Move, meaning that you have to give up any other potential hold item to use it. So Mega Pokemon can't use it. No way. A sequel needs to innovate and bring forth new ideas and concepts to justify their existence. Sticking with the old and refusing to change is incredibly boring and series that do that die out before long. It's not like the game will throw that all at you at once anyway. It'll introduce them gradually throughout the course of the game, just like all Pokemon games do (yes, including RBY). Pokemon games always do a great job of easing newcomers and beginners into the game, always assuming that you've never played a Pokemon game before, and I'm sure this one will be no different in that regard
-
BTW, it just hit me. Mega Pokemon can't use Z moves because they need to hold a Z stone to use them! OHOHOHOHO!!! Your days are numbered Mega Rayquaza!! (Also, we now have Pokemon subspecies... Monster Hunter called Game Freak, it wants its ideas back )

The leaks aren't completely accurate though... They said that the new Ninetales would be Fire/Fairy, it's actually Ice/Fairy.

New trailer is up! (JPN version of the trailer is slightly different) Gumshoos is literally Donald Trump lol! We're getting all Mario Strikers up in here son! Edit: Wanna be a true Pokenerd? Lol it looks and sounds so dorky. I want one

Oh hey, I have a Toybox (not Toybox +) Steam code going spare. First person to reply with "I want to learn from Yooka's trowser snake" gets it!
-
Yeah, these changes do feel really mean and greedy. There's no excuse for removing experience point boosts (what is even the point of curveball shots and Nice/Great/Excellent captures anymore?) and the (likely, going by personal experience within my group of friends) catch rate alterations are just pure BS. $10 million a day isn't enough for Niantic obviously... And refusing to properly address server load issues (clearly you amputate the arm if you get a cut on it ) alongside a total lack of communication (hell, even just flat out ignoring people's complaints over the "3 step bug" at SDCC) for a game this successful is just utterly absurd. The handling of this game has just been a total mess. Amazing that TPC hasn't stepped in to sort things out.

This vid seems to sum things up nicely

I've had no problems at all, so I'm not really sure what to suggest I'm afraid. Your system should have no trouble running it at all I'd imagine. You can try uninstalling/re-installing it, but I'd suggest asking on the Steam forums as I'm a bit clueless about it TBH.

Now we have a GPS powered game that doesn't let you track Pokemon with the GPS! Woohoo!
-
OH MY GOD I'M SUCH A FAILURE!!! Yoshi's Valley! Why!? Why am I dumb!?
-
Cheers. Found it in the end. Actually led to a secret for the final game!
-
They specifically said that it's ok to stream/record whatever Edit: Right, no, seriously. WHERE IS THIS DAMN SECRET BUTTON!!!?!?! I'm going mental here!!

I've got my Toybox Plus. Playing it right now! Quick impressions, it plays great, the music is great, the voices are adorable, the humour's on point and it exhudes joy all around. Yup, it seems like the real deal! It's not a demo in the traditional sense, but rather it's a custom made test area with various game mechanics to try out and shiny trinkets to collect. I can record footage/stream if you guys are interested...

The customisable layout idea is cool and it's something that Nintendo has indeed actually toyed with themselves for some time now... One little idea I came up with though... If the rumour is right and the controller parts are indeed detachable... Excuse the incredibly lazy photoshop here What if the pieces could be attached to the other sides as well, for a DS style vertical orientation?
-
That wasn't really wrong though... At the time, Nintendo were actually planning on using Tegra in the 3DS. But somewhere along the way, Nvidia failed to deliver the chip performance they promised to Nintendo, so they were dumped in favour of DMP and their Pica 200 GPU. That's not to say that Eurogamer haven't been wrong before mind you, just not in that particular case. Hell, it might have even happened again here. Nvidia have been promising the moon with Tegra for years now and have still never managed to truly deliver on their promises...
-
Would be hilarious if Eurogamer's report turned out to be total bunk... I say this as the one, sole loon on here who kept saying that the first NX machine would be a handheld

Not really far fetched. Doesn't have to run Android; all they have to do is port their own games to their own platform. Doesn't mean that it has GPS or mobile data either, just that it has a touch screen or some sort of equivalent controls. TBH, even if it was Power PC based, they could port them easily. Doesn't really mean anything; hardly a revelation :p
