"If your pacemaker tries to divide by zero, you're dead!" I think he means that if a computer program tries to divide by 0 it can stall and so will stop working... I wonder why the school let him teach that kind of thing before it was verified as actually being correct.

how much is the swiss franc worth?

"Sony will lose money selling it at 600$, but if they sold it at a higher price, even less people would bought it." I understand that there aren't enough PS3s to go around and because of that they delayed the European launch? What do you mean "even less" they can't make enough of them to be sold.

Guy isn't as funny as he used to be.

"Nintendo:All virtual console games can be played using the Classic Controller or Nintendo GameCube pads." That is wrong then? It's posted in the article above

We talked about this a while back and decided (or at least I decided and nobody disagreed) that we pay more because we live in a culture where we are happy to pay more, partly because we have more money than a lot of places and partly because we believe in sharing a lot more.

now you have to include a date of when the target started, and work out if you will get there by launch:p

Wii Fusion Tour - Definite Thread [56K Warning]
Balfron replied to pedrocasilva's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Did you mean to say definitive? -
Its nice to use wires if at all possible and practical, because they are faster and much more reliable. With wireless there's always a chance the connection may simply disappear, and it is generally slower too.

How many priests does it take to change a lightbulb? ... "change??????"

yeah normally you will get your money back from the seller. Most people will give you your money back.

Hellfire there will be a huge amount of people who can't use that feature, as the console is shared. Even your time tracking feature will be slightly wrong if you show it to a friend and he plays or whatever. The Xbox 360 allows multiple profiles. You can set one to default, and have it sign on automatically, so if you play by yourself you don't even notice, or you can just choose from a list. You don't need to put in passwords and it takes seconds to click your name. The Wii isn't encouraging family fun by doing this. It doesn't benefit anybody.

Everything is relative. Compare the price of the Wii to the GameCube, and the PS3 and Xbox 360 and we realise we are paying more for the Wii than we would for anything else. Also realise that Nintendo are making a huge amount of money right now. The other companies are choosing not to do that and that benefits us. Having said buying a Wii is great value for money when compared with going to the cinema, buying a film and just about anything else. Its also potentially more fun than any other console, and so is well worth the price.

Won't be molten after this!

We pay more taxes in Europe and in turn make sure that more people lead a higher quality of life. Search around for poverty rates in the USA and the EU. For example in the UK everybody is entitled to free health care. Think of cases like the women asking for Herceptin. This is an alleged 'wonder drug' that helps tackle certain forms of cancer. I believe her dose cost £30,000, but someone will have to check that for me. She got that free. In the USA she would have had to pay for it out of her own money. To stop that happening most Americans pay health insurance. Some can't afford it, so they just have to go without advanced healthcare. That sounds appalling to me, but I suppose we in Europe are brought up expecting different things to those who live in America. So in short, what would you rather do, pay tax on your Wii, knowing you are helping people less fortunate than yourself and even helping yourself when you are one of those people, or get your Wii a few pounds cheaper and stuff everyone else? EDIT I should have said, when you compare poverty rates make sure they both define poverty as the same thing!

I wonder if they will have the stat tracking elements of Brain Training in this game. Looks like they are angling more for the fun, simpler BBA look...

Well when you see a 'Mario Galaxy online??!!' thread title its actually quite exciting. When you see a 14 page thread called 'Official Mario Galaxy Thread' its less exciting. Anyway if I'm in a minority then that's that I suppose.
