It's actually pretty good. Once I got past the idea that it was X-Men vs Vampires (Because Twilight fans demand it!) It's a pretty decent set up issue. They do need to establish more of an identity for who's going to be in which book, though. Wolverine and Colossus are already a mainstay of Uncanny so seeing them here again doesn't add much. I like that Pixie is in it though, and the adds feature Storm and Nate Grey heavily so we'll see. oh and the art is the best x book art in ages. Even X-Force: sex and violence #1 isn't as good.

Sad factoid. They should be awesome. They're really not. The original kicks ass though. It's an action classic- not fat, just a lean, imaginative screen play that effectively pushes forward a series of quality set pieces.

The theme thing hit me too. It happend with Chrome too though. Try blitzing your browser cache, see if that helps. I got chrome to stick to a good theme with that. Can't help you with the rest though.

You know, there's nothing wrong with engaging with a film. Analysing things critically is how we're supposed to discuss them. It's not an aggressive thing to do, thinking. Most people on this forum just want some bland praise and a generic number in bold though, so this thread will largely remain shit /10

Whedon's run is probably the best I've ever read. It's absolutely superb. I checked it out on Amazon too recently because I read most of it in reprints and all 4 books can be found in the region of £25. Not bad at all. The hardback is £30, which is quite alot but it'd look amazing. I want Uncanny to move towards that again, really. I'm hoping (lol) that the Heroic Age thing really does end M-Day once and for all soon. It's an interesting plot but it's been going on for ages now, and while it allows good ideas like X-Force to come through, it's actually counter to the principals of Xavier and Magneto which is the central conflict at the heart of the book. They need something to get back to that, and rebuild the book as a team/ family instead of an army.

They do the same thing for nature programs filmed underwater. They can't use torches to see the fish down there or something so they use filters on the shots done under massive magnification.

Yeah it's looking increasingly like the show is going to hit the ground running. They've gone from commissioning a pilot to a 6 episode first season before they started filming. A sound tactic, given that Breaking Bad started out the same way and that's gone on to pick up multiple awards and massive acclaim. I'm psyched that AMC are doing it too because they're producing better drama than anyone in the business these days.
