spent the morning doing admin voluntary work again. Only this time I felt so fucked on these anti histamines I'm taking that I may as well have smoked a massive joint before I set off. Could barely string a sentence together I felt so tired.

rented Knocked Up pretty good effort. It's funny, but not as all out hilarious as The 40 Year Old Virgin. Maybe you just can't make jokes as funny about pregnancy as you can about virginity. Gonna track down Superbad next as I've only heard good things there.

Good job I was joking then. Fun times: Something I've done has given me a savage allergic reaction and I'm currently feeling like I'm on fire with my skin doing a good impression of early stage T Virus symptoms. Win! got a 'scrip from the docs so I'll go down Boots way soon and get myself some anti histamines.

I was distinctly underwhelmed by the pilot. Except for the opening scene which is the single most horrifying thing I've ever seen on television. Other than that I couldn't help but feel the whole thing is born for filler and I just didn't like the characters all that much.

comedy picture time. So I grew a bit of a beard recently. Tonight it was destroyed, and I decided I'd treat you lucky lot to a comedy shave dissection of the beast- Dan in several modes of shitty facial hair! OK step one: The Riker The Beard in full- untouched by the hand of man for approx 3 weeks. Step 2: The Craig David. The cheek fluff and the sideburns go, leaving the chin and tache in place. The signature beard of wankers everywhere. With more grooming, this becomes the look of the Asian Rudeboy. Step 3: The Roadie. usually accompanied by a pony tail and a bad metalica tee this beard; with the chin growth reduced to a whiskery stump on the chin point means one thing: I can't grow a real beard, but this bit might get me served in a rock club. Step 4. The Lebanese Pimp. Eeeuuurrgh. also quick PSA: I'm not naked, I just shave topless to spare my shirts the shrapnel damage.

Anyone seen True Blood? It's HBO's latest: Vampires are out and known in modern society and exist as a repressed minority. Written by the scribe behind Six Feet Under, too, so I expect the standard is high as usual with HBO. Not seen it myself yet as I have to give my torrents room on the bandwidth I've otherwise been using.

bullshit! Homosexuality is not a 'choice'. The very idea of such a thing is nothing but repugnant propaganda spread by bigots and closed minded infants. Homosexuality; with all it's subtle and wide ranging facets is, for gay men and women, as much a part as their natural being as hetrosexuality is for straight people.

Yeah they're the companies we'd be getting review copies from (hopefully other stuff too) so I might bag a few good games on the free soon. That and advance my journalistic credentials, naturally.

God knows. Gettin on my tits though. in other news: Been in touch with a London Magazine recently who want me to do some games writing and got a list of companies they get mailouts from today. SCEE Epic games Rare Midway EA Sega Activision Blizzard Rockstar Capcom Konami with Ubisoft, THQ and Raven in the works. not a bad list, all in all.
