  1. Daft probably knows the particulars of the 'Ed Banger stable better than me, but if you're in to Four Tet's more out there material you should probably investigate a few artists under the Warp Records banner. Square Pusher, the various alias' of Richard D James (Aphex Twin, Alter Ego, The Tuss etc) and a few others.
  2. oh woops. Forgot to comment there. Yeah. Excellent film. Entirely unsure as to the, um, point of the exercise but I have a suspicion that it hardly matters. It's an utterly engrossing bit of cinema nonetheless.
  3. got some wireless stereo headphones. Absolutely awesome: they work through my entire house without loosing signal and I'm willing to bet I can take them out in to the garden at some point and I'd still get perfect sound. got some clothes, a genius shoulder bag from hong kong with some really shit/awesome comic art on and some bits n pieces. Yay!
  4. I was just banking on the thread regulars. wuv u rly.
  5. irony lol: there's way more straight sex in the film- including some pretty hot scenes from the female leads. of course, the whole point is that it's emotionally barren, soul crushing straight sex but that there happens to be the point.
  6. Woah. hold the phone, guys Anyone heard a guy called Max Tundra? in contention for the best noises thrown towards my ear glands this last orbit. Consider this cocktail: Aphex Twin's capacity for a mental time set and the ability to generally interfere with a bit of circuit board mixed with a folksy, eccentric pop record and a bit of soul lite vocal work on charmingly bizzare lyrics. Heady combo, for sure. Investigate post haste, forum. Particularly looking your way Paj, Chair, O_W and Daft.
  7. yeah- most people are prejudiced, ignorant idiots who are too scared to engage with the film. Their loss. Undoubtedly one of the finest pieces of cinematic craftsmanship to come along in our lifetimes.
  8. that final scene reduced me to a sobbing wreck for a good 10 mins. Amazing film.
  9. It's not as good :awesome:
  10. castle crashers has been patched folks. hip hip!
  11. yeah I'll look in to it. The proper site seems limited to US (ie network) audiences. How annoying.
  12. I believe it was me. You know, if I wasn't taking the piss. Pointless argument anyway. Some people like the wii, some don't. omg or something. Personally, I've not seen anything on the wii that interests me in the slightest but I don't give a rats if you're really in to it . What annoys me is the assumption that having a 360 or ps3 is somehow indicative of 'limited' taste. That's bollocks: I just want my games to be cutting edge, technically. There are things possible on both machines the wii can never aspire to and for me, those things are the future of gaming- not waggle controls.
  13. I rarely find cocks anything grander than faintly perplexing and sometimes amusing. strangely empowering, mind. They are ridiculous contraptions though, no doubt about it.
  14. starts again next month I think.
  15. so long and thanks for all the deathstars.
  16. 'not available from your location' fuck. Internet- resolve this tomfoolery.
  17. maybe I'm just too new man and totally awesome, but that mindset just makes no sense to me. People fuck. How or with who is totally irrelevant to anyone but themselves. Peace an love, yo.
  18. once again brain twin! It's not something I'd actively go for but the way I see it- gay dudes are probably on to something - you know, with the whole enjoying sex thing- so it's not something I consider repulsive or anything.
  19. I don't think I can recommend The League highly enough myself. I finished it the other day and...wow. It's truly superb how the thing plays with the idea of a super hero (ingrained as they are in the post war world). It's not the deconstruction of Watchmen or the political horror of V For Vendetta but it's very, very good. In a way it reminds me of Invincible
  20. to be fair, it is shit stir stir stir we go!
  21. Weeeeoooo presents get! Found my dad a super delux 3 disc mega set thing of Born to Run- my favourite springsteen album and one notable for it's absence from my dad's otherwise pretty solid collection from The Boss' discography.
