aye, I beleive t'were me. This show is about the long pay off- it is, after all, about painstaking high end narcotics investigation. Odd as it may sound, there's stuff in series one that doesn't pay off or conclude till season five. CSI land with master detectives solving elaborate murders in 30 mins (with ad breaks!) this is not. It's about as far removed from that as is humanly possible, I think.

is he an only child by any chance? could be a brotherhood thing. He might just be friendly! I know that feeling though- when you have an attraction to somone it's hard to see how they might not feel something back and makes you think up weird shit!

I've not really commented on this since I made the thread. Having read some of the sceptical articles out there, I'm definitely cautious with my expectations on the serivce, but there's alot people don't know yet- I mean, they've not explained their tech beyond saying 'hey, it works!' so without knowing that stuff, it's hard to say one way or another if they're talking shit or not. if they're right though....wow

learning the lingo and the technicalities is all part of the experience. Part of the reason it's so realistic is because it re-creates this world so intimately, and gives no quarter to outsiders. It's an oddly alienating process for TV today, where the norm is user friendly 'meta scripting' where supposed experts in their fields explain basic terminology to one another. It works brilliantly though, if you give it time to sink in.

for those with an ear for quality: Fever Ray- the solo endeavour from the lady half of The Knife is out. Post natal insomnia is explored by Echoing, brooding and dark synths, incredible production aesthetics and everything you'll know The Knife for, stripped of their dance influences. It's perhaps closer to trentmoller. Absolutely thrilling stuff- it's great to have such a talented artist back. Spotify have it, though I'm not sure when it's in shops oh and paj: I have 'lashes tickets for the 12th. Looking forward to it

Had an absolutely awesome night last night. Went to my mate's in Birmingham and went to this epic night at a place called The Custard Factory for some dirty, dirty house and electro. Hella fun night. stole a couple of hours sleep on the floor and headed home. Crushingly tired now. Ragh.

I've been catching up with Terminator: TSCC What the fuck is this show? It's fucking crazy. I love it. obviously there's plenty going wrong with the show- dubious plot lines and questionable character development but...damn they do it well. The show is chock full of filler but for once I don't care- the themes, writing and direction of each episode is absolutely amazing sometimes. They're almost like a collection of loosely affiliated short stories from a book. It's clearly going nowhere but I don't care! -
