  1. I think Bad Company is supposed to be way better, and no doubt features considerably more players at this point. The last point being key.
  2. Just get Burnout Paradise and live.
  3. Great Game. Easily one of the best games this gen.
  4. that's fuckin immense.
  5. is that the fatty hardback of all his letters? I found that in Oxfam for a fiver a while ago. I need to start reading it again. Thankfully, it's the kind of book where simply having a copy to dip in to from time to time is a good read. It's about a million pages long.
  6. Dan Dare has sympathy for Mcoy. The loss of icecream is never a fate one should experience.
  7. umm, you know that kind of flexible coiled pipe? they use it for the extended thin bits on hoovers. Buy some! Kraven would be good too. Waistcoat, fake fur and some cuddly toys. Do it!
  8. you'd make a better doctor octopus. Also, the arms would be fairly easy.
  9. I mentioned it as an ideal thread elsewhere, Dyson obliged. What a gent.
  10. send me an add for 360, guys. always up for a game.
  11. I'd argue there's actually a great deal of warmth at the core of the book in their relationship. You know, ish.
  12. So The Road has surfaced in trailer land Looking excellent. It looks like they've expanded the narrative a bit and widened the role of the supporting cast. Probably a good move- a totally faithful adaptation would be both dramatically unsatisfying for cinema and, more to the point, totally pointless. Psyched.
  13. Aye, Claremont is a war criminal for it. X-Treme X-Men was a fucking exposition car crash. Noticeably, all the top Marvel guys have followed Morrison's lead. Fraction, Millar et al. Kirkman, too, over at Image. Invincible and The Walking Dead both feature next to no captions and neither feature thought bubbles. it's very post Miller, really. In V for Vendetta he didn't even use SFX.
  14. I'd like to add that peanuts are fucking awesome. ----- Burnout Paradise My friend finally bought this- cue a return to Paradise for yours truly, a bunch of dumbass challenges and a general lark around. Absolutely amazing game this- I think it's the absolute bleeding edge of multiplayer, community support and design this gen. Other developers should look upon this game with nothing short of fear and awe.
  15. speaking of New X-Men; I think it was the first comic I read (on an almost x-clusive diet of material anyway) where characters didn't talk during a fight. Meta dialog always fucked me off in x-men. It was always the way that, rather than just show the powers off, the writers felt it necessary to explain what each power was every issue. Grant Morrison was pretty ahead of the curve dropping that bollocks- clearly he realised the absurdity of cyclops waxing lyrical about his optic blasts while he was already smashing the fuck out of walls with his eyes
  16. I loved the 'down to earth stuff' line then the slow mo power slide with a cargo jet landing in the background. Proper funny.
  17. Yeah it's good took me about a week to get my hands used to the button placement though. It'll throw you off initially.
  18. The fightpad has VASTLY improved my game, SC. For me, fluffing the inputs (already generous) is a thing of the past so now I can concentrate on strats, not dexterity barriers. Kicks Ass on arcade games too- Bionic Commando is hot sex on it. 360 pad is usb too so if you have any 2d games on pc it works on that. Zoom Zoom!
  19. safe. Will be tuning in i reckon
  20. back from London. Night was more epic than I really know how to express. *looks at wallet and cries*
