Avatar Ok so it was somewhat hammy... but fuck me sideways it was amazing to watch. The visuals melted my visual cortex in to some kind of over stimulated soup mix. Loved the 3D too- best when employed with a little more tact than the 'flying shrapnel' variety, it added a surprising fidelity to the quality of the image, adding depth and texture that really made it rather alluring. Plot wasn't bad, but it definitely could have used a little more subtlety. Characters felt functional and predictable but to Cameron's credit the considerable running time didn't feel excessive; the pace was rock solid and the splendid Pandora jungle was well worth sticking around for. Loved it.

Agreed. Much better VO if you ask this pundit. Long hair was a problem though- ME had that horrible shadowing problem that games have these days where it flickers around constantly and the effect on the hair was frequently catastrophic.

Yeah that's not going to happen. Worth a rent though, absolutely. I'd say go for the campaign then snap up the sequel for the excellent multiplayer. If you don't play online a fair bit though I'd say buy neither because it's simply not worth the cash at all.

I think I love you a bit. So, hey. Not posted here lately. I got my brother The XX- The XX for Christmas. Blasting it through the 'main' Hi-Fi in the front room (instead of Spotify) transformed it from a great album to the single most intense emotional and sensual sound of the year. An argument unto itself for the continued purchase of Actual Records from Actual Shops. Album of 09 contender.
