Pod racing just isn't what it used to be...

I lent my Wii to my friend, it's only now that it's gone that I'm feeling the need to play on it again. Just Twilight Princess and Excite Truck.

Can we hurry up and find out which one of us is to blame so we can start talking about the wii again?

I've had my Wii since launch day and I have no intention of selling it. I also have an xbox 360. Currently in my Wii collection: Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Excite Truck, Wii Sports, Mario Kart. Have traded in: Mario Strikers, Red Steel, Sonic and his secrect ring, super monkey ball, metroid prime, no more heroes, smash bros brawl Currently in my xbox360 collection: Halo 3, Banjo Kazooie nuts & bolts, Rock band, Rock band 2, Quantum of Solace, Gears of War 2, Fable 2 Have traded in: gears of war, burnout revenge, guitar hero There are few games that have grabbed my attention on the wii, most of the ones I've had have come from Nintendo themselves as usual. The best games I play of any generation are always Nintendo games. Usually I want a good game with a decent storyline or an unrealistic but fun racer, not brain training, not wii fit, not wii music and not any crappy minigame collection. This is why I got a 360. Fable 2 may be the best game of this generation I've played (so far). I love the wii and I love the controls but until we get more games that aren't focussed on the controls and are focussed on a plot then I'll be using my 360 and PC more. The online aspect is just so much better developed on 360 and PC, online is the standard and not just a bonus.

Clarkson gets a 10/10 no question I like the non-conformity of an xbox-themed sig on a nintendo forum and it's quite stylish so 8/10

I re-bought banjo-kazooie on xbox live arcade just to complete nuts and bolts fully even though I still have the original. The game was just too good and I really wanted to finish EVERYTHING. I was skeptical at first but I was hooked from an hour in to it. The classic Rare humour is still there and the gameplay is reminiscent of all the N64 favourites. I have to say that I thought some of the challenges were quite hard but it never really took me more than 5 goes I think (and that was the target shooting with Boggy in the Terrarium of Terror) to get the TT Trophies. I should really try out the multiplayer but I'm just not motivated enough to do it.

Well I was all ready to join in and state my worries about the addition of minigames, but after reading the article and looking at the screens I've got a more formed idea in my mind of what it'll be. It's like the rings you could jump through to earn points in Excite Truck. It's there on the track and you can aim for them for more points or you can just get on with your race and try to win. "You won't believe your eyes when you find yourself shooting goals, throwing pies and even playing poker in the middle of racing robotic animals and insects around off-road tracks" That quote had me really worried that they'd taken one of my favourite Wii games and removed the thing that made it so popular. But I'm sure the emphasis will be on the race and the other stuff will just be bonuses to aim for. I'm definitely looking forward to some footage. If it looks anywhere near as good as Excitetruck then I'll be first in line at Gamestation.

This is absolutely ridiculous. What kind of moron thinks Transformers needs more human qualities? They're ROBOTS for god's sake. And why have them fighting humans? A great big robot against a tiny little man... fantastic idea... 'Optimus come quick there's a hold up at the bank!' *Optimus rips the roof off and squashes the robbers* Actually... I'd watch that.

I think Batman is a superhero, the only thing that sets him apart is the fact that he doesn't have any supernatural powers. He's proved that he doesn't need them to be able to fight crime and he kicks arse anyway. In my book he earns the title of supehero because he's just damn better than all the others and he doesn't even have powers of his own, that makes him pretty super in my eyes.
