Phone MS and tell them you're having authenication problems, explain what happens. They should be able to sort it out from their end easily enough.

I see a games console with the Konami logo on it in the trees, ZOMG! New gaming platform from Konami!!!!!! Or... maybe they're making a new Animal Crossing. We have houses and "people" so it makes sense :p

You love grunge but you don't know of Pearl Jam? That's like being in to football and asking who the hell that Alex Ferguson guy is :p

Excellent! An odd choice of band to have their own game, but a good one nonetheless! Can't wait for the release, i might actually buy it

Hold off buying an iPhone/Pre? Interesting, infers that they're releasing a Zune phone

There is the rare occasion where you'll time everything perfectly out of luck and unleash a combo that gets rid of pretty much all of your opponent's health bar. It's rare though, unlike most fighters the timings in Street Fighter are pretty tight.

Activision announces DJ hero, Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero
McPhee replied to Dante's topic in Other Consoles
Same worries here. First though was "not my thing", 2nd was "ooh, Motown!" and 3rd was "they're gonna fuck Motown up, aren't they?" You missed GH: Greatest Hits :p Seven games! -
No, it wasn't spam. It was stuff relating to a post i shouldn't have made. Haptic touch screens are hardly new or Apple exclusive, the Blackberry Storm did it last year and the Storm 2 will improve on the idea this year. Nokia announced a working prototype at the end of 2007 and Samsung have a haptic model on it's way to market. The tech still won't replace the hardware keyboard though. All it does is add a click to each keystroke, there's still no definition between keys. It also bumps up the bulk of the device (the screen has to move) almost rendering any thickness advantages null and void. Personally i don't think they should bother. A hardware keyboard is better for typing and it won't take up valuable screen space. If they can work out how to get one in to the iPhone while keeping it thinner than the 1st Gen iPhone then it'd be the sensible way to go.

What posts? The idle spam? drop it...

Seems like a bit of a niche thing, heck this thread is the second result in Google for "Community Broadband Projects"! What's the idea? Residents pay for their own exchange upgrade? Or we purchase our own line? I never even knew it was possible, but if it is i'm definitely interested!

It's not a Vista problem, either the driver or the hardware is nackered. There shouldn't be any new laptops shipping with compatability issues. To be frank it does sound pretty disgraceful, the main reason to buy a pre-built machine is because the manufacturer should have the kinks ironed out. If there isn't an update on their website and they don't have a solution then i'd send it straight back...

I flogged my SE stick, waste of money. I know this goes against everything Street Fighter, but i actually prefer the analogue stick. Sure, charge moves are a pain in the arse but overall i find it smoother. Certainly the stick wasn't worth the £75 it cost me even if it did make some moves easier.

Turrah dude. It's a shame to think that you can't bare to visit these forums any more, i know i'll miss ya! Take care and i hope that your life manages to sort itself out

Yup, i love it! Can get hard as nails though, but that's the point in it's existence!

We should kill them all then invade their countries and conduct mass-genocide until they realise that they are in-fact a sub-species. A new era of the British Empire! Who's with me?

Soul Calibur IV is hard?!?!!? New to me... Looking forward to this. Getting more and more tempted to grab a PSP, fantastic little device!

IIRC getting a BD drive working on a Mac Pro is a lot of hassle, seen a few forum topics on it. Will try and dig them up for you, it invlolves boot-camp, sata-ide adaptors and a lot of fiddling with drivers. Might be remembering wrong though and it may have just been certain drives/Mac Pros. Saitek Eclipse for the keyboard. Excellent build quality, had mine for over a year now and it's been a gem! Hear good things about the Eclipse II and III too. Flip-Phones are out of fassion at the moment, Combine that with high manufacturing costs (two screens + a hinge in the middle of the phone) and the result is there aren't many new ones. Had a look a month or two ago for a friend and there's basically the Nokia 6600 Flip (crap), Sony Ericsson Z750 (the usual SE build quality) and Blackberry Pearl 8110 (HUUUUUGE!). You might have better look if it's places like CEX you're looking though. Struggling to remember model names of good flip handsets but will have a dig and get back to you.

I've got one of these that i don't use/need; http://www.ebuyer.com/product/50127 You interested?

Found what i was looking for now, Blackberry SureType; Easily the best way of typing one-handed. Someone just needs to find a way to get one of these, a hardware QWERTY keyboard and a touch screen in to a single device while making it smaller than a Nokia E90 The only thing i've seen come even close to that is the stupidly long HTC S740 Might actually get one if they do a new version based on the Touch Pro 2/Diamond 2 design.

QWERTY here, much faster. Takes a bit of practice (and big hands) to do it one handed but it's do-able. Somene needs to develop a phone with a lanscape QWERTY and the Blackberry keypad for portrait. That'd be perfect

Your issue is quite simple. For some reason you seem to think that the people reading this thread care what the local chavs think of this device. Most (if not all of us) don't care! From what info is available on this device it does seem like it'll be something i want. They could use MSDos for the UI and i'd still sodding well want one. The harware looks good, the specs are cracking (Tegra + OLED is pretty much a garauntee of class-leading picture quality) and all in all i'm very interested. Whether or not it will click with the wider market remains to be seen. All you're doing is ranting against it based on the spec sheet being good. As for original features, there's no such thing (as you should know fine well, look at the iPhone). Originality is in the package of features available and how they are tied together. The Zune has always done this well in the past and will hopefully continue to do so.

Announcement up now. Basically it was time to let go, a single thread for all Apple products, troubleshooting and Apple-related discussion was just silly.

Nice Kinda annoying that media players are getting so good and yet very few actually have a SIM card slot. With these touch screen players all having web browsers it'd be great to add one, i'd flog my phone straight away (not including the Archos 5G here, it's too big!). Resistive does have the advantage of responding to finger nails though, which is kinda handy because you can use your whole finger to control rather than just the tip. If they could refine it to react a little bit better then i'd pick it over a cap screen every time. I've heard the Touch HD comes close? WinMo 6.5 is just 6.1 with a new front-end (or it is on the Betas i've used). The back end (i.e. the most complained about part of WinMo) is still a stylus job. It needs 3rd party software to make it finger friendly (like the new Touchflo that'll be debuting on the Diamond 2).

Yeah, it was an ingenious idea! Lets give a bank with no money that is on the verge of going broke a nice big damages bill. If it's not the bank thats paying for it then it'll be an insurance company instead, and they're not exactly in financial wonderland at the moment either... Why bother holding people accountable? It would just be a complete waste of time, effort and money right now. We need to leave the blame for tomorrow and concentrate on getting out of this bloody mess. At least we have a good chance of surviving if we act now, unlike Ireland or Iceland, who are both completely and utterly screwed! As for the protesting, becoming more political rather than an out of control rabble would be a good start. Being more rational, clear and reasoned on what you want to achieve is also helpful. All that will happen with these London protests is they'll be dismissed as another gathering of angry fools out for blood with no understanding of the implications of their demands. All that achieves is overshadowing the political problem with a social one. The politics of the people behind the burning would no longer count, it'd just be the burning of the City that would remain. The media machine is far too powerful now for a violent revolt down the lines of the French Revolution to happen, you'd look like a bunch of jokes before the first week was over. Look at the papers, they're already taking the piss out of the people that broke in to RBS, and the ones who tried to loot Tesco. They've written them off as a bunch of clueless skinheads and university drop-outs, which is how the world will remember them. If the people who went to protest really want to make a difference then they need to get organised and gain some vision. Form a political party and fight the government in Parliament, if the people of this country really believe that you have the answer to our problems then you'd get elected, right? It'd certainly be a lot more productive than trying to tell the cat to chase an apple rather than a mouse.
