Try Sainsburys, some half decent models in there from Fujifilm, Panasonic and Canon for around the £50 mark. They might be worth considering over this

Was doing pretty much the same with Ryu, Jumping HK, HK, HK, Hard Sweep. Jump up, repeat. I just got tagged by a lucky light punch here and there. Tried again, this time Abel caught me through my flying kick. Wierdest thing i've ever seen, the kick landed but he didn't flinch at all, grabbed me out of the air and threw me across the arena I've given up, will get Gouken tomorrow.

This game is sodding ridiculous some times. I really shouldn't play it when i'm tired, just broke my 360 controller in a rage fit after Seth got a PERFECT against me when i was trying to unlock Gouken. It's taken me all evening to get that far, i was on my 3rd attempt at 1 perfect, 3 ultras, no continues (couldn't get the perfects in, got hit by a light punch every time!). Made it right the way to the end and he goes completely nuts. Three Sonic Booms, followed by a teleport, a Shoryuken, a throw, another throw, a teleport, three more Sonic Booms (the last being an EX), that stupid move that freezes you in mid-air, a teleport away from me, teleport behind me, EX Shoryuken. Me = Dead without even making a single attack. It was basically a bloody cut-scene! The worst part? That was on Easiest. Capcom need to fix this broken pile of shite.

I know it seems like a stupid question, but can anyone else pull off Rose's Med Kick - Hard Reflect combo in the Trial? Every single time i try it the Med Kick pushes Dan out of range of the Hard Reflect. Doesn't seem to matter what i do, it misses by a pixel or two every single time It's wierd, had no problem pulling off the first 2 combo trials with anyone else i've tried... EDIT: lol

To be honest you don't really need to know much about the Northbridge and Southbridge technology to build a computer, that's getting quite deep in to the electronics side of things. What you need to know is the difference between motherboard chipsets and the advantages/disadvantages of each one. You can usually glean this info from motherboard reviews. As for sites, hexus.net used to be really good but they seem to be taking a lot of money-hats at the moment. The forums are still pretty good though, fan-boy free and the advice is usually spot-on. Bit-Tech and Anandtech are good for reviews.

It's a simple case of too many games. Nothing to do with them being the wrong genre, on the wrong platform or development costs being too high. They chould change all of those attributes and the underlying problem would still be there; too much choice for consumers. Losses have been high over the past few months because far too many games were released to market at the same time. It forced people to choose between two games, when under normal circumstances they would have bought both. For example, before Christmas i picked up Spore, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Mirror's Edge, Guitar Hero: World Tour and Left 4 Dead. The list of games i didn't buy due to financial and time constraints was pretty high; Naruto, Fallout 3, Brothers in Arms, C&C: Red Alert 3, CoD: World at War, Disaster, Animal Crossing, Far Cry 2, Crysis: Warhead, Rock Band 2, Tomb Raider, Dead Space. That's a lot of missed money due to an oversaturation of the market. To "fix" the industry publishers simply need to churn out fewer games and spread them more evenly throughout the year. I'm still catching up on what i missed before Christmas and yet i'm getting bombarded with titles again! Street Fighter IV, Dawn of War 2, Halo Wars, Empire: Total War and Resident Evil 5 all within 5 weeks. I can't keep up and i doubt many can. If the consumers can't keep up then sales aren't being maximised and profit is being lost.

This Gouken thing, i'm beginning to think you just have to rack up a certain score in Arcade mode tbh, too many people are unlocking him in too many diffeent ways for it to be anything else.

They all use standard mouse drivers though surely? It's just the Logitech software that isn't Mac compatable, and that isn't needed or all that usefull. EDIT: Quick google seems to suggest it does work; http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=205473

I'm using a Logitech G5 and i've got no complaints about it at all, close to perfection

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Saitek-Eclipse-III-Backlit-Multimedia-Keyboard That one looks pretty good. I'm using the original Eclipse and it's a pretty nice keyboard. The Eclipse III does everything you want bard USB passthrough (got to go to the next model up for that, the Cyborg, but it's ugle as sin).

Was looking at a tier list for the arcade version the other day, Dhalsim is like 3rd from top or something I guess it's a case of getting to grips with him. Unsuprisingly Sagat was top... The fight sticks were a limited run, unless Mad Catz change their mind then there won't be any more being produced. I'd expect they'll re-release the sticks but without the Street Fighter IV branding (or with different art) to retain the exclusivity of the initial run. The fight pads are going back in to production to try and meet demand as soon as possible. Enjoy the long wait, there was a news story (i think on Shoryuken.com?) about one of the head dudes on the SF team saying that they won't be patching the balance of the game for as long as a year after release. I'm kinda hoping they weren't including Seth in this, but i'm not all that hopeful

On a mission tomorrow, gonna go find me an arcade stick. I've given up on getting one of the SF ones, so i'm gonna try and find an old Saturn/PSX/Xbox/Dreamcast stick and a cheapo 3rd party 360 controller. A bit of soldering later and i'm all sorted (hopefully). Should set me back £30 tops and tide me over until i have the time and money to build one from scratch.

Seth's Ultra is... a pain in the arse. Does he really need to be any cheaper? He KO'd me when he was a single punch away from death using his Ultra. Twice. Got the hang of it though, he tried it TWICE in the SAME ROUND in my last game, 2nd time he got a Metsu to the back :p

June?!?!?! Urgh I can't pull off charge moves with the 360 pad at all! Sooo, 4 months wait or £56 for a Hori arcade stick (which is a rip-off btw, seen these as low as £35) at Play Asia. Nowhere in the country seems to have stock of any fight sticks/pads...
-
No game for me Guess it's tomorrow...
-
Sounds like a good plan to me! Just gonna need a bit of practice time first, it's been a long time since SF2Turbo on the SNES! 360: Phee2
-
Do it!!! And put an achievement in for getting the RROD :p I'd love to see that one, and people's reactions!
-
I'm not ordering a fight pad til pay day, low on funds and i want to see how i get on with the 360 pad first. It's not a decision i wanted to make, but until my "mates" pay me back the £150 they're owed me i'm more than a little stuffed for cash
-
Just ordered through Shopto, they're dispatching tomorrow apparently. Orders should arrive Wednesday or Thursday depending on if Royal Mail feel like behaving or not...

It depends what it is you like about the N95 and how much you're looking to spend. Unfortunately there isn't really a great all-rounder like the N95 around at the moment unless you go for an N96 or N85 (both are basically the N95 updated, with the N85 possibly being the better of the two). From what i know Sony Ericsson aren't making very reliable phones at the moment, so replacing a broken Sony with another Sony might not be the best idea.
