Platoon. 10/10. Woah, what the fuck? Charlie Sheen is actually tolerable? Who knew. Brilliant film, like, I don't watch many war films, but this has to be up there with Apocalypse Now and Saving Private Ryan.

What are you talking aboot mate? *is confused.* There is no "line" to be drawn, you can't dictate limitation on other peoples conceptions of right or wrong, you just can't. What you were saying was that it's better to see things in black in white so that everyone can come to the same verdict, or thats what I understand anyway. Thats not going to happen, that's the point of a debate such as this, so everyone can make their own conclusions, turns out that the people who have single minded views are the ones that come off looking the worst, dyanstygal (or whatever) being the biggest example. Bleh, eventually, it's gonna be a farce whatever way you look at it, all it takes for a thread to get out of hand is a stooge and a bunch of people that feel like antagonising said stooge, the reason most of this thread is incomprehensible turd.

It's a poor excuse, if what you're saying is that you're too incompetent to consider things properly, because it's inconvenient for you. It's also a bit audacious then to post and expect people to be swayed on a topic that they clearly care more about.

Er, why does everything have to be black and white with you? Humans are definitely different to other animals, and I don't need to explain why. We're also the same in many ways, were also biological organisms inhabiting the same earth, we have a CNS much like all other animals, and we also share all the same base instincts and emotions; fear, pain and all the rest of it, fish and (maybe) bugs included. So you can't say we're entirely detached from any moral considerations, because we're "different." We're entirely dependant on other animals, so maybe there should be a certain degree of respect.

Nah, they're not outrospective or poppy, so you might find it boring at first. you have to listen to right way to "get" them. Gee...that didn't sounds pretentious at all.

Calm down a little, we get that you're angry, but nobody's gonna take you seriously if you come across as a crazy person. We cook food, because that what we prefer, why do you er...most...humans prefer cooked meat? Because somehow, that preference provided an evolutionary advantage, as firstly, it increases the energy content of the food, and it rids it of most disease, and other shit like worms so you don't get dysentery and die in a pool of your own bloody fecal matter. It makes sense.

How is it pointless? If noone ever questioned what they/ others do, we'd be wasting in our own filth. Which, of course we're doing anyway if you want to take that angle. So yeah, I agr...wait...what am I doing? You're wrong!! :p

Ugh, sounds pretty foul man, unlucky. Guess it gives you an extra incentive to eat meat though haha.

Yeah, it is. Guess everyones a hypocrite at some point though, when your actions don't match up to your ideals. So...any cannibals on here?

A friend used to have a go at me all the time for eating meat, but he was always eating fish. Apparently, there's nothing wrong with eating fish because they "don't have any feelings." Which was a laugh. It's funny when self righteous vegetarian types eat fish, because it totally contradicts whatever facade of idealism they've got going. Pretty vain to be honest, if you're just jumping on the bandwagon because you want to masquerade as someone who gives a damn. Not to sound like a jaded old bugger, but it smacks of the hippie era. Fuckin tree huggers .

That sucks. What food has a load of iron in it though? Or do you have to take, like supplements or something?

Really? People say different things though, it's like, you have an Iron Deficiency, or a calcium deficiency. I'm not sure what to believe...

There is a correlation between growth inhibition and vegetarianism, plus, I like meat. I guess though, people are slightly desensitized to animal slaughtering, cause when they get meat, it's always in a nice neat package, with all the grisly stuff that goes on beforehand taken out of the equation. I guess if I were being conscientious, I'd say it would be ok to eat meat if you killed the animal yourself.

I finally bought "In Rainbows." It makes me happy. Some beautifully simple guitar genius going on. I wish there was another British band half as worth listening to.

My days are getting shitter, the GP told me today that I have dietary problems, and that if I keep losing weight at this rate (lost 4 stone since June, I'm a decent 10.2 st now) he's gonna have me hospitalised, the fascist fuckhead, oh, and my hair is falling out as a result, which is fantastic, my parents told me that they scheduled an appointment with a shrink, without consulting me, I feel like a fucked up angsty mess, and I can't summon the will to leave my room without smoking a decent amount of burning plant substances. Can't believe I didn't go to uni this year. Fucking mistake and a half. On the slightly less dull side of things, I'm 'seeing' this bonnie lass at the moment. Unfortunately, she's 4 years older, and I was with her friends yesterday and they wouldn't stop cracking paedophile jokes. Nyyya, why is nothing ever simple. Oh, and bought Orange Box, finally, Team Fortress 2 is so much fun. We need a "Put your problems on the net for people to laugh at" thread.
