  1. I can hear what your saying...At the moment I am working my way through playing the megadrive games I picked up as a job lot (which were shown off in episode 2) so thats kinda a recurring theme throughout the series plus delivering at least one "review" of a more recent title. Guess the show or the site doesn't have a USP if we are to get all business like about it
  2. That's a bit disturbing to hear FM has always had excellent realism...although Beckham is desperate to whore himself out to any club who will give him the football so its not too unbelievable...Also Rivaldo has played for some odd teams recently... I still can't get the demo to run.
  3. Just literally completed this on hard and like everyone else loved it...whens uncharted 3 out?! :p Now its time to indulge in a spot of multiplayer me thinks...
  4. Well how would you suggest giving some purpose and impetus? Is there something missing that would give it this. I do feel that at the moment I'm kinda all over the place with structuring and such like as I attempt to find what works best, so thats why i've tried different review styles, from sitting and playing games whilst talking to the scripting attempts at humour of the layton, to ReZ's sit down and chat and not show any footage! there are a few other things I've filmed that havn't made it out as didn't think they were much cop. I am thinking of releasing that as another sort of addition series called rough cuts or something.... I'm all for new ideas etc...though if you have any. I'm just doing this for a bit of fun and if it gets anywhere (highly unlikely) then great but if not I'll just keep doing it for my own amusement as much as anything.
  5. You can watch the video direct at blip.tv where its ratios are correct....I'm not sure why it does that really its odd but thats something to do with the way blip.tv distributes I don't write though pieces, maybes theres a way to change it. Only parts of that layton thing were scripted I did make some of it up on the fly sort of. What do you mean whats the point? Its just meant as a fun show on video games...no grand purpose.
  6. Yeah I'd hear that its going to shift away from being a social network and become more a casual games platform. It's a good idea tbh...as a social network its plain sucked unless you into dancing.
  7. hmmm now I've gone and listened back to the layton bit I can kinda see that, I think when i'm reading and its scripted and I'm reading in a hurried manner I almost do have similarities with him....When I'm playing the games I just natter away basically and its very much my sense of humour to react to things in a witty manner and put on stupid voices like I did with the newt gimp eel thing and the pirates on little mermaid. I don't put on a voice or anything so its kinda a hard thing to deliberately try to change to avoid comparison with yahtzee on escapist when what you see on the show is me as me...
  8. postal strikes?
  9. The box arts very "un-comtemporary Nintendo" wheres the sterile grey and white? Anyway doubt I will get this as don't have many people round playing games...I will give it a try at the Eurogamers Expo though and perhaps will change my mind.
  10. Well all the concept art looks awesome...think Mickey's look is classic enough and is brilliant. Nice quote from gameinformer:
  11. No I get your saying, I guess for me I do view Fallout 3 as the pinnacle of the openworld post apocalypse 1st person shooter (even though its really not that strong a real time FPS) I mean the game its aspiring to be a diablo loot fest and a shooter don't mean it has to have a massive story, diablo doesn't (I don't think) and shooters don't have to have a huge story and be that cinematic experience that they've become since the glut of ww2 shooters aimed for that. Look at Doom and Wolfenstein they had functional stories that furnished games that were all about the shooting.
  12. The thing that puts me off most is the lack of story and the fact that you are missing out if you play it single player. It's off putting, this is the sort of game I would only play with friends online as don't wanna play with some dick who either doesn't play as a team or just grabs all the loot for themselves plus theres the communication issues. As for the lack of story its just personal preferences, I don't like hearing that a lot of the NPC's in the game act as little more than missions boards. I mean in Fallout 3 there are plenty of distinct characters who I both love and hate but can't see this happening if thats the case in borderlands. It's odd some aspects of the game look very cinematic if you watch gametrailers review. I guess it comes down to peoples different reasons for wanting to play these types of games. For me I need a compelling story to keep me interested in the world. Besides for me I'm still yet to finish Uncharted 2 (very close) and not played co-op on that yet so reckon will delve more into that by which time Dragon Age Origins will be out.
  13. Yeah it was me who mentioned weightwatchers...it works I spent the first few days eating bot all and then realised I wasn't scatching my points total and you actually realise you can eat more than you think. Their website even has typical values for meals out if you wanna treat yourself. It does really work if you stick to it and document all your eating etc... honest. As for measuring stuff out I didn't I'd have a bowl of cereal with just enough milk... I've been trying to watch overeating the last few weeks and lost about 5lbs so even not going hardcore on it can still work.
  14. Well to be honest at the moment am just trying out different things and what does and doesn't work. Before trying to put it in the context of a proper show rather than just me doing what I fancy as and when. I liked how the layton section worked out and intend to try and punctuate every episode with a mock advert. Also always going to have a retro section just perhaps not as long...Also I've hopefully got youtube distribution sorted via blip.tv after I was approved by them for that so all future episodes will feature on youtube.
  15. gametrailers review is up now...I'm still 50-50 whether to get this or not...some aspects interest me other horrify me.
  16. This quote from 1up kind of puts me off:
  17. Hmmm I'm still not sure what to make of this. Part of me thinks the money and time would be better spent with Fallout 3 and the DLC...I'm a bit put off by reading some reviews saying it lacks in story etc...because yes as good as it would be co-op I would like to be able to play solo and still get a good experience. Anway B+ at 1up.com: http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3176535 I think I might hang on and wait for Dragon Age Origins for some RPG love this year.
  18. WIll it divide it based on length rather than file size?
  19. Yeah I saw a while back that they had been rated by the ESRB.
  20. ok cheers...yeah it has does have clear segments so could split that up.
  21. Need to split my 20ish min Lethargic Gamers Show episodes in order to fit on youtube. Movie Maker is a pain in the arse because if you import the video as a whole it splits it into a ton of little pieces and all the transitions etc... are lost...
  22. flameboy

    Fifa 10

Well in manager mode I'm 12th with Portsmouth...my biggest problem is I don't score enough goals...draw 0-0 so often although won last match 3-1 against wigan.
  23. What did you think?
  24. Semi Sony related I've just finished the latest episode of Lethargic Gamers Show about 3 quarters of a way through it there is an Infamous joke advert I made!
  25. flameboy

    Fallout 3

ENJOY! It's a cracking game...some time soon I will finish off maxing out my character and then buy the DLC. There are a ton of adverts for this doing the rounds on TV hopefully it draws in a new group of fans.
