Anyone up for some multiplayer action 10pm tonight?

We've played it trust me you bump into each other all the time... The only level that was slightly hard was the ice one but think that was more down to the slippery nature...things were easier when playing solo though or when you were on seperate parts of the screen but doing that slows down the pace, say you get to a jump you know will cause problems if you both go one has to stop and wait for the other to clear it...its a bit of a mare only exasperated by four players...

Have to say when we watched it was 3 marines vs 1 predator who in the right hands looked stupidly overpowered but then perhaps the guys playing was just really good... Later on saw some aliens and the movement seems spot on, you could scurry up walls etc...and the camera sort of had this shuffling/bobbling effect to reflect this movement... I'm onto Resurrection tonight in my Alien-Predator viewing experience.

Yeah for a consumer show I think it was great. I mean I remember years and years ago going to ECTS back when I owned an Amiga, it wasn't a consumer show but so many people seemed to get tickets somehow (We got 4 off my uncle) that publishers started gearing their displays more towards this and would even sell you games there, as a kid I thought it was great getting thrust with all these games but realise how a lot of it was just the hard sell! One bloke in particular sticks who sold us some shitty light gun game on the Amiga which just didn't work and the light gun broke after a few months. This mix is good where there is something new for peop;e to play and even stuff thats new to the press as well... As for Tesco next year they have to get their shit sorted and order more sandwiches...I do have a slight inkling that the show might not make it to Leeds next year...yes it was a success but in the Ask Eurogamer session they admitted they struggled to find a better venue and for the event to move forward I do think it needs to get bigger and try and ensure they push on to try and get more developers up north. I wonder if they might try Manchester or Newcastle next year? I'm sat now in my Brink t-shirt still wearing my wristband with my journalist hat on getting ready to flood my blog with hands on impressions as well as observations.

They really aren't as pushy as you'd think...in fact the ubisoft guy was trying his best to put me and mike off buying Red Steel 2.

you can bump them off ledges jump on them as they make jumps all sorts basically...to annoy and grief each other, sadly it can just as easily happen by accident.

Yeah assassins creed did seem to be hogged...and alien vs predator but think that was more due to the machines all being hooked up for a 4 player deathmatch and the length of the match being relatively long. Yeah Brink looks awesome is definitely up there with my most anticipated games for next year, Spring is gonna be one busy old time...gonna do a good old write up on it tomorrow SMART and all...

Awww cheers! Was good to meet up with you as well and funny seeing you all star struck about Mark Green! Thought the Ask Eurogamer session was awesome and definitely think those guys need to get themselves a weekly podcast gong , reckon they have the community for it, seemed to be a fair few people who were referring to stuff from their past etc...with regards to reviews and what not. Yeah was good day like you said played plenty of games...plenty to write up. Loved the Indie Arcade only really played that claymotion game but loved it, oh and the happening wtf?!!! I'm not sure I'm going to come tomorrow, just got home to find I've been charged a fee on my credit card so bit skint! Will have to pay that off...do really wanna go to see the Team 17 developer session but not sure can warrant going just for that. The big thing for me to play was God of War 3 which I did plus get round plenty of other stuff and watched a ton of stuff. Feel proper rock star with my wristband on although in the eyes of most people no where near as cool as a gig.

since the update live season is still a load of ass...3 times I've tried to play Arsenal vs Portsmouth and 3 times I've been forced to make a sub due to injury and 3 times the games crashed...piece of shit.

Well played this today and still stick by what I've said before...its not for me... I would primarly be playing this game as a single player experience and in that respect it really doesn't seem inspired. Me and mike played multiplayer together and had fun, but it was somewhat a mixed bags. Sometimes we would just bumble into each other and the way things work with regards to how you react to each other can be just plain frustrating making you feel like the multiplayer hook was almost an after thought or just an extra they thought they'd bung in. However other times when you expertly nudge someone to their death feels inspired and you think wow why hasn't this been in Mario before?! Love that the Koopa kids are back though! Finally the level design didn't feel particularly inspired but standard fare...

Exactly...its BS basically....Yeah Alien 3 is good enough just doesn't stand up to the other 2 films in my opinion... anyway back to the game is on the showfloor at Eurogamer Expo so will be posting my views etc...

Yeah Resurrection is meh totally...had an arguement with my mate about it who thought its one of the best just because of the sheer concept of a cloned ripley.

Well I've never watched either of the AvP films but will get round to them soonish...been watching them here and there man Alien and Aliens are cracking films...3 is pretty decentish...

My "office" setup... all my consoles and tv are on top of a chest of drawers....

yeah I reckon its some kind of replay as well or something...
