Y'all got the opening-a-jar thing wrong. Use an elastic band around the lid or rubber glove to enhance grip. I can't really think of any tips/tricks besides ones to do with rolling cigarettes, and they're better demonstrated anyway.

I moved in with shorty roughly two years ago on the day we met... lols. Seen Ashley twice - teh second time he stayed for liek a week, megawesome. Then went to leeds for pubbing and cinema with Daniel a few weeks back! They should all reassure you that I am, if anything, much better irl. I hope. -

Domo-kun; Sussex uni? I half half-a-dozen mates there, not surprising considering I come from brighton. I am considering doing my masters there to stay close to home (if that's what I decide is best), but by then you'll be gone. Just watched seasons 1 and 2 of Sugar Rush non-stop because I needed a brighton fix. That is all. My 6th form had similar problems in my last two years there. For Product design we were suppsoed to have 5 timetabled slots every fortnight, but they could only give us three in the workshop, one in a tiny classroom and one afterschool, but hey we made do. Then the college started farming students doing law and geography out to the rival flippin' college, accepting their students for english and psychology in exchange. I would ask them what the current timetable is, and try and see if you can maybe do one of the A2 courses at a different college in the time you do have spare.

Sooo... There's this mate that whenever she's invited over seems to refuse to leave and it's really, really annoying. She basically won't leave until it's like 4am and I'm all "... ok TIRED NOW." It makes me really, really uncomfortable. How can you nicely say 'fuck off outta my house?' So where you up to on that now? I got to episode 21 of season 3 and now it won't download anymore... So you've moved from where my grandparents live to where they used to live. Chepstow is a lovely little place.

I hate organising this. I asked for people to PM me with what days they're going and for how long/how many nights, and THREE people out of all of you responded. Clearly people are not reading back on this thread, and it's annoying. How am I supposed to know how many beds to book and for how many nights if nobody is responsible enough or even decent enough to PM me? How can I trust that I will be refunded for the deposit I am willing to lay down for you if you can't even do that? Yes, I am annoyed.

My skin is itching, my teeth are pulsating and I keep realising that I'm groaning. I'm trying to think whether I'm useful or not, because there's no art in my glass. Perhaps I spilt it, perhaps I drank it... Guilt? Bred by humility. Are we allowed to be proud? I'm really not looking forward to my mid-life crisis. ETC. I got poo on my leg the other day.

Depends on what the definition of 'we' and 'country' is, if you ask me. This is what the EU was set up for -- total economic integration that requires some political melding across borders and between separate countries. The individual countries don't just cease to exist, and still regain a certain degree of control over policies and such. In the long run it's a sensible idea, people just need to ask themselves what is it exactly about being british/irish/english/dutch/french/whatever that makes you proud of being one of them? Slightly playing devil's advocate here, btw.

Well since the last time I was on these forums... I've watched 3 seasons of lost in about 4 days (beat that, Bard!) -- just watched the first ep of season 4 and MY GOD it's awesome. Bought Luigi's Mansion and forgot to save it for 6 hours and lost all my data, so I'm annoyed at that. Dante; I'm really sorry to hear that dude. Sorry I'm a few days late with condolences too. I hope you're doing ok. Well since the last time I was on these forums... Uh, brief update; I will be phoning/internetting the hostel next time I come online, which will probably be wednesday/thursday as I'm in a bit of a gamecubing mood at the moment. I'm asking for all people who are going to stay at this hostel to PM me with teh dates they wish to stay, that way i can easily compile a list of who is staying when between friday night and sunday night, and phone up and book those numbers. This is a final roll call, as I will be definitely entering my credit card details and paying a hefty deposit, of which y'all will owe me a few bucks for. So yeah, get those peems in.

In attempt to look artsy-fartsy... Koyaamisqatsi. Purchased at random, and utterly blown away by it. I reckon it's a true test of a movie-lover. If you watch it and get bored, then clearly you know nothing about films at all. Very thought-provoking, very smartly made. However, Powaqqatsi Felt a bit more hashed together. Too much third-world stuff which the audience struggles to relate to in any way besides pity or guilt. Both are worth a watch. Not sure whether I should bother with the third in the trilogy or not. Opinions?

In regards to the Sheffield meet; No idea. Originally was considering just meeting at the Hallam union for some drinks, but nice weather may call for more outside drinking. I dunno. Again I'm sorry I've not sorted the hostel out yet. I think I'm a bit annoyed that there'll be seven/eight people which means splitting into rooms, which means hostel might not let us book two 6-bed rooms as I don't know if they just shove two random folks in or what. *pressure pressure pressure pressure*

I am happy! I had my last exam yesterday, which went badly, then had lots of alcohol and watched spaced and the match... and now I have a wee bit of weed! Woot!

Unis tend to start around the first/second week of september, I think. Fresher's week is first, mind. I don't know if british universities give out scholarships as much as american ones do. We don't have any ivy-league football or anything like that. As for private schools... well I'm sure they get more bang for their buck, but I wouldn't be able to tell you to what extent

is it too late to offer advice? Rub leaves/dry grass in your hair. breadcrumbs in your beard... use rope to tie your jacket closed, and plastic bags twisted into strips as shoe-laces. Odd shoes maybe. Jacket should be too big, preferrably one of those 'puffy' ones that make you look like the michelin man, or a thick matte suit-jacket type thing. You need to have rollies, dirt under your fingernails, a mysterious scar or two, and yellow teeth. Accessories include hat/cup for begging, penny-whistle and a dog. Let us know how it goes
