  1. I never said he wasn't perfect - I think he knows what roles he can act and he chooses wisely - I just think for this film his appearance at all distracted from other characters. It over. While Jason Statham is confident in himself, I think pitted with the character of Tommy he didn't shine enough, considering he ought to be more of a central character than Pitt's was. Lock stock's odd thumb is Vinnie, for his career as a footballer certainly weighs heavy over his appearance (at least, to british viewers), but it gives the movie the 'british' tone that helps it feel like a movie that isn't merely imitating american mafia movies.
  2. The tech-savvy individual seems to be someone who has picked the right target; whoever they picked was, I think, observing a fair few things that happened above!
  3. Nope - I prefer Lock Stock too. Tighter script, in my opinion, and without a bradd pitt, the cast feels more even and Vinnie Jones doesn't come across amateur as I thought he did in Snatch. The soundtrack is way better too.
  4. ReZ - not sure I can accept the McCoy (Up for debate!) because his name is "Brian Mcoy". The juggling I can accept, but the lego house...well surely we want an awesome new original attempt I guess it ought to be accepted... so that's 9 with the McCoy's up for debate. New BISHes time! Send 'em my way.

  6. I can't remember if I said; I've got a second team, in the VIP league. Just got a 25 year old keeper with 7 skill for less than a million! The rest of the players in my league don't seem to set tactics, so I think I understand when oddy says our league is good because it really is. We're all tactician extraordinaires! I'm really hoping to win the league i'm going into...
  7. EITS (at least, the FNL soundtrack) is just shaded heavy with sadness, it breaks me. Lonely Train -- i didn't know what the track was and it was reminding me of the lonely train rides (perhaps because she's on my mind anyway) I undertook, leaving leeds for the 4-hour trip to brighton.
  8. I think a lower limit would perhaps give mafia an unfair advantage, tbh
  9. It's pretty odd/cool when you can see the same track(s) in different people's last.fm things. Oddy pointed out that we had the same track there once -- except I never have my scrobbler on, so it's always wrong :P Explosions in the Sky all round!

  11. Uh oh, danny; you better watch your back. Nobody takes the piss out of Bauer.
  12. Done fuck-all today! There was a thunderclap earlier that lasted for ages, I thought houses were falling apart or something. The yo-yo that is my relationship with my ex is up again. I'm so madstupidcrazy in love, I'm an utter fool. Considering asking her to move in with me even though it would be a car crash on a few levels. SIGH! Shit son, sorry to hear that The first question would be a glorious essay question to feast on, but I can imagine in an exam it being poo. You seema smart enough guy, so I wouldn't worry.
  13. I thought the grindhouse films were massively hyped up before release - just the critics were fairly brutal with them, and they kinda slinked off with their tails between their legs. I was fortunate enough to see a proper billing of planet terror and deathproof back-to-back, complete with the spoof trailers in between, at a nice little cinema in leeds. I'm a wee fan of 70's b-movie stuff anyway, so I found then to be pretty cool. Actually, I haven't seen either since...
  14. Explosions in the Sky and Empire of the Sun are rocking my headphones. The latter is a bit like the baby spawned after Stellastarr* met Biffy Clyro at a stoner rave.
  15. It's hard to recommend a similar show to help pass the BSG-less future, but I highly recommend Breaking Bad if you like your TV dark and gut-searing. The second season just finished, and a third is on its way. It is about a chemistry teacher, Walt (played by Hal from Malcolm in the Middle), who finds out he has cancer, and through his DEA brother-in-law he stumbles upon a kid he used to teach (played by Scott from Big Love) running away from a meth lab. They tag-team, and for two seasons now we've watched Walt become entwined in the world of drug making and dealing. It's taut, gripping and grimy. Several horrific situations (bathtub, man in the wheelchair) that have that car-crash tone. But it is also got a few of those "woooaah... shit!" moments, which we all love BSG for. Do it.
  16. Sure If anyone wants to send in their next-night moves, then feel free.
  17. Yeah, that's fine dude Send it over.
  18. Get her the fuck outta my thread!
  19. (I've told him it's not a problem, he's sent in his targets for two more nights in case we suddenly get all speedy)
  20. We were saying this the other day - This and The Wire have been massively hyped up, which warps new viewer's expectations. I would still say that you should go into both shows with an open mind, and give them time. You won't be let down if you stick with them.
  21. He's right. He's saying we should lock all of the threads and he'll be happy about it. Right? Ah! BUT I THOUGHT WE WERE BEING SERIOUS TIEMS!
  22. Yeah, the urge to purge threads about dead babies is TOTALLY LIKE HITLER
  23. omg omg someone on TEH INTERNETXZ did sumfing I DON LIEK quick make a thread and wee on things
