    Smallville - Echoes was one of those episodes that simply add to the "so if he can do that somehow, why can't he do it more often?" pile. I will file the mind-reading skill away into the "so why didn't he use that?" filing cabinet for a future episode.

    Both ears, high- and mild low-pitched frequency loss. At the ear hospital the other week the audiologist actually gasped and said "my, you really are quite deaf!" -- I'm deafer than the old people with hearing aids, I've just had more years experience. But I've always wanted a brother! You can't change your mind. *gesticulates incomprehensively*

    I agree with Teh Dare - best episode since the opener, for me. Still appreciative of Chase's focal storyline - having his and cameron's relationship the central string works better than foreman and 13's did. So is Chase going to be an alcho or a jailbird? And when are we going to see some of House's 'inmates' again?

    Dude - quotes and citations don't count towards your wordcount - and really your argument should be able to flow with the quotes, using them to sustain and support what it is you're saying. Tsk tsk tsk! Yeah I got a bit o' the sniffle at the mo. Could tell a few days ago, when the throat starts getting tickly. Hoping it doesn't get feversome. Also with the payrise thing, I'd agree that MBAM's workmate is being discriminated against. If you hvae a union, then get in touch with them. The fail starts here. You did an hour free for The Man!     I highly doubt I'll get any trick-or-treaters around here, dodgy student living n'all. In idea, as a communal thing, I think having kids dressing up and going around (so the parents can show off their outfits) is an awesome concenpt and clealy a sign that you live in shitville if it's never been like that for you. It's really another drinking night, these days, but one where even adults can piss about -- tis all about the dressing up! My mate's having a houseparty (I severely need costume ideas, help me!) and my workmates are going to corp to see one of their friend's bands (might try and do a bit of both).

    I'm the only one going "yaay!" at this news, then :P I'm allergic to MSG (just ask shorty about the trip to the hospital for an idea of how severely), so this means I can eat them! MSG is an additive to make things moreish. Food companies who use it are cheats who are afraid to admit they are trying to serve you a plate of cardboard. I do have a thing about the whole "NEW IMPROVED FLAVOUR!" slogan, though. But that's another story.

    I'm-a downloading Fringe S1 as we speak. Tumpititum! I used to rate every episode of everything decent I watched but clearly nobody else is watching The Ultimate Fighter, or Bored To Death, or Supernatural this year so it's better kept to myself

    Haden; nice one on the prizes! You're the Des Lynham of our leage () Mundi; nice youth there! I got myself a 19 5 midfielder that I'm fairly pleased with. Jimbob; well done on scooping that 21 yr old. I've had a bargain a couple of times in the past. I'm so, so, so tempted to sell two players and grab 14m from the proceeds, then buy three, maybe four young and fit players.

    I'd probably end up eating more if I took up this diet... I currently do at least 16 hours a week of walking aboot (I get mah sweat on!), mostly skip breakfast and have a sandwich for lunch, but finish with a hefty dinner and -- oh yeah, massiiiv weekly alcohol intake. There's no way I can go cold turkey on that mofo. I'd probably need rehab for that -- and I'm sure that'll turn me into a skinny freak all by itself. I think I'll just try smoking more to curb the hunger craving. :P

    Not quite what you're looking for, though. You can't merge two console-based, achievement-gathered profiles. That FAQ thing is about merging your xb profile with a gamertag already created on xbox.com. It may well be fun to play through your old games again with this in mind! What gamerscores do your profiles have?

    Woke up at A Reasonable Time, arranged hearing-aid collection (next tuesday! It'll be about 3 months since I last heard properly...), cleaned the bathroom(ish...), bought some bathmats and a thicker duvet, nearly completed Wanted on teh 360... made a great dinner - turkey (two breasts FOR EIGHTY PENCE), tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onions, chopped tomatoes, dash of tabasco, cheese and pasta. Delish. Tidied my room... Really, really exciting day. Now just sorta sitting around with this ligering ANGER feeling (for no reason at all). Think I'll pinch some headphones off a housemate (mine are borked) and watch a bunch of TV stuff, then read a book. Not an exciting day at all but a fairly productive one. Big deal.

    Congrats to those who get the congrats -- though I think I'd've won a category if we were counting 'manager of the round' awards :P A brief point to make in regards to teh friendly cup we're planning - if the mangerless teams aren't there to respond to the friendly request then... well we're going to have a much smaller cup really, aren't we?

    Only five players visibly gained a bar, nobody lost any but yah, last three-or-so games my form really got knocked, and pretty much none of my youth evolve Considering I had several games in a row where all my players were playing at least 7-skill, and a couple where nobody was below 9, I'm a little dissapointed.

(my day = pool, pint, Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Pint, Food, Pint, gig, pint, song about polishing the pearl, pint, old man tap-dancing, home, strange angry feeling - but it's ok because I hae another pint and a book, I suppose)
