Woke up at A Reasonable Time, arranged hearing-aid collection (next tuesday! It'll be about 3 months since I last heard properly...), cleaned the bathroom(ish...), bought some bathmats and a thicker duvet, nearly completed Wanted on teh 360... made a great dinner - turkey (two breasts FOR EIGHTY PENCE), tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onions, chopped tomatoes, dash of tabasco, cheese and pasta. Delish. Tidied my room... Really, really exciting day. Now just sorta sitting around with this ligering ANGER feeling (for no reason at all). Think I'll pinch some headphones off a housemate (mine are borked) and watch a bunch of TV stuff, then read a book. Not an exciting day at all but a fairly productive one. Big deal.

Congrats to those who get the congrats -- though I think I'd've won a category if we were counting 'manager of the round' awards :P A brief point to make in regards to teh friendly cup we're planning - if the mangerless teams aren't there to respond to the friendly request then... well we're going to have a much smaller cup really, aren't we?

Only five players visibly gained a bar, nobody lost any but yah, last three-or-so games my form really got knocked, and pretty much none of my youth evolve Considering I had several games in a row where all my players were playing at least 7-skill, and a couple where nobody was below 9, I'm a little dissapointed.

It's been alright, though I don't understand why you can't get better focus on the pics with a bit of messing around with the camera functions?

Maybe your mate glanced wrong, or maybe he hadn't finished tallying the scores? (my day = pool, pint, Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Pint, Food, Pint, gig, pint, song about polishing the pearl, pint, old man tap-dancing, home, strange angry feeling - but it's ok because I hae another pint and a book, I suppose)

SO basically the "caring mother shape" that i mentioned ages ago. Nice one, team.

Eenuh; yes curves are more beautiful, but "curves are more beautiful because curves are more beautiful" isn't really getting to the bottom of it, is it? :P Why are they more beautiful? I guess I can guess my own answer... Precisalingo.

If you had gone out at 7pm you wouldn't have gone straight to a club :P If you're sober, clubs aren't all that fun. If you're drunk enough then you'll probably dance to near enough anything. This year I've been clubbing with lots of different people at different places, and I'm starting to get tired of the scene simply because I can't see for shit in these places. I like to smoke, but it's an effort to get to the smoking area and back again alone, and I don't like to burden my friends with the task of guiding me (smoker friends, though, ftw). I would still say that there's a world of fun in going out. The random element is always a buzz... but you really do ought to drink :P Lots!

So you're going to look a sheep leap about with your logic? Why, though :P I mean, why is a curved figure more appealing to all humans? Is it the instinctual recognition of a caring mother shape? Or are women prey to the same manipulation that men have been through when it comes to advertising, and the use of the female form. While sex has been used to sell anything in the past, notably because men were the moneyholders, the 'degrading' of women as sex objects conversely also empowers them with control of men, albeit through sex. So the female form is attractive both to men as a sex object, but also to women as a means to get what they want with men :P How's that for a debate/argument/point, moogle? Or should I use puppets next time?
-
Can I lock this yet? Somebody make a half-decent debate/argument/point, and I'll slink off.

T-fadman! Harps and accordians bleat for ye.

Eenuh; it's quite annoying when you feel left out of the conversation, and quite tricky to work your way into it, especially when they seem put-out when you ask them for a little back story. Also a shame you went out at such a late time. I much prefer the pub chatting side of a night out - there's that element of a chance to meet with random people who can be completely awesome. Today is supposed to be good -- supposed to go play pool at 12.30, yesterday nami and our mate luke said they wanted to play so I've texted them (and shorty and two other mates) and nobody's actually replied yet, which is big big toffee gay. Next up is seeing The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (had to google the name), then the gig tonight! Not sure if I should head for the pool hall all by myself just yet... Also! A workmate has invited me (and pretty much everyone else at work) to his birthday meal, only he's asking for a non-refundable £10 deposit from us all, only I know the restaurant gives the deposit back, so I think he's either being an idiot or a dick about it. But then he also said "then we're off to see the new moon after taht" and tehre was me thinking he meant, like, the new moon in the sky, thinking he was all pagan and shit - but nooooo! It's some fucking twilight film. NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Twilight is on my anti-bucket list. What do I do?! Anal sex?

At argos I spoke to an old dude (customer) who has similar eye conditions. He basically re-affirmed my belief that I should never take up driving with his tales of the animals he's killed, the lamposts he's buckled and the cars he's written off. Other news; went out for a 'coursemate's' celebratory event of finishing her job - included some other coursemates, her work mates (past and present) and generally random people. Many awesomers. Think a girl fancies me. Fairly lol. Also; the HGAW jsut so happens to also be going to the gig I'm going to tomorrow. I'm worried MGAW (oh, I admit, I've forgotten the abbreviation I gave him) will find out and get his wires crossed nd thing we arranged to both go there together and without him... My ex is in america at the moment and has been texting me (only told me that she was abroad after like 20 texts ffs!) and she's going to be in yorkshire soonish, so she'll pop over and pay a visit and cause some awkwardness/regression of feeling. Yeh. Headphones broke so can't watch anything. Got some booze. Will read book.

So long as it's full time, you should still be eligible for two more years worth, I think.

Either means the date for the game has passed, or he's accepted a friendly with someone else instead, I think

I was thinking the same when I saw them together. Figured she's another AA member? Really, I have no idea!

Day = do nothing til work, then work a bit (new guy started today - he's rubbish. Totally levelled up in management's eyes by correcting his mistakes), then some dude dropped his phone on the train home and I was the only person on the carriage who tried to help (he was on his hands and knees looking under people's seats and they acted as if he wasn't even there). Started another book, so currently reading three at once. Watched some telly, now facebook chatting into the wee hours with mah cidar. Got a shitty 3-hour shift tomorrow 1.15-4.15, but meeting old coursemates (who I never spoke to) at a pub, then hooking up with more familiar faces at corp later. Just gotta remember to call up/sort out hearing-aid picker-uppery. By the end of this week I'll be back up to two hearing aids -- more than I've had in nearly a year! Supposed to do some sort of prep work for my presentation in a fortnight too... but I have these three books that really need reading!

Ah! I stumbled on that earlier. I sat there just stunned at him. Utterly brilliant. Bet he pissed on a monument later.

I was arguing that being drunk should be taken into consideration and does make a difference to the severity of the crime (as you sorta agree with). Stemming from this are general undertones of me decreeing the law ought not be so black and white (see: the bit where I say people would be outraged if a sober person was not punished more for the 'same' crime), as well as the odd bit of eye-rolling at the shallow, world-of-advertising-driven symbolistic mentality a lot of people have. Plus I was being defensive about the nature of being drunk, and a slight bit confounded by your call to make an action into a contract (when you drink you hereby agree to accept any and all consequences of alcohol, subject to T&C*) and I don't understand, or maybe I don't think you understand, the limitations and/or extent to which you can say "ooh, this might happen, so should I drink another one in case it does?" Hard to say without examples. Let's say you get horrendously drunk, and fall asleep in a doorway. You wake up to find a used condom sticking out of your bum and a "Hey! Now You Have AIDS Too!!" needle sticking out of your arm, to what extent do you hold blame for this particular consequence? Yes, I am arguing for the sake of arguing. But I'm enjoying it, and I'm sure (hoping) you are too. *Even if there are other worldly circumstances, be it natural or man made, fate or pure coincidence. Even if you have been taken advantage of, it is your fault for letting your guard down, because ultimately all people are obviously bad and we shouldn't rely on the good nature of anyone. And stuff. This isn't really well thought out.
