They've now said that my download code is available on my account under my orders, but nothing's there at all. I'll leave it a day. Well i was considering paying full-price for fallout, and shopto even has red dead redemption for £23... Three impulse-bought games last me three times as long as a full-price game (not in all cases obv.) which is really teh main factor for me. While I get middling games a lot, I still enjoy them! I'll just buy halo and mafia 2 when they're two-for-£30 or less anyway :P

Having a typical day today! Bored so thought I'd play on my ecksbocks, figured I might buy Meat Boy (XBLA game) so went to shopto.net to buy some MS points and saw Alien vs Predator was cheap so I added that to the basket too. Enter my details, get to the "thanks for your order!" page, and I go to check on my inbox. email confirmation doesn't mention the MS points. shopto doesn't mention anything. Decide to get round to register to internet banking, fill in the form (wrong for the first 3 times), then call them up to confirm my identity and they have a 5 min waiting time. Sure, no problem. Five minutes later the computer voice tells me there's a 10 minute waiting time. Fantastic. So I've wasted an hour on this shit and now I'm still bored but I don't have any MS points and dunno if I've paid for them or if I should order some again, and I probably shouldn't because I've got to go out in 45 mins anyway. Emailed shopto customer support and probably won't get a reply til monday, can't really go INTO a bank tomorrow to print a mini-statement either, so bleh. This sort of convuluted shit is what always happens to me.

I won't be watching it on terrestrial, so I'll probably forget to watch some episodes at some point. Having said that, the only shows I'm constantly ZOMG about are supernatural, house and ultimate fighter, so I'd hardly say I'm after high-art right now :P

It's a spanish film originally. IIRC my copy is english subs. I was half hoping this was about Chronos... I have this movie on my HDD so I'll catch it soon. Film club will be back!

I think I'm up to ep 4, just re-watched the first two with my dad and I've formed my conclusion; The show is taking us for a ride. The 'potential for being good' is false. It will always be like this. There is no ultimate ending, there is just cliffhanger. It is not high-art, it has music that tells us how to feel constantly and it has clearly defined, stereotypical characters. But I'm a sucker for it. I've never minded this sort of TV, but it is NBC so there's only so much to expect from it. I expect to be mildly surprised each episode, and I expect to be kept highly tense throughout each episode. It is not character driven at all, and so far there's no comic relief... It's trying to fill a hole that lost, flashforward and 24 have all left/attained to, and while I'll be watching every episode I will be under no illusion that this show is actually any good at all.

I was having a chat with my dad the other night about stereotypes. He told me about the difference between tourists and locals, and i pondered on how the world stereotyped teh english. But we were both drunk so i don't have anything to add to the discussion except that all stereotypes have a root of truth to them!

There's that hulk-like special skill some players have. If bruise is on then they'll play better. Aside from that, you'll essentially just injure the other team more if the ref is blind, get more bookings if he's harsh, give more free kicks away if he's skillfull, and put your own players at risk for injury if they're injury prone or just old. So I really see it as a tactic used where you want to hurt your opponent so that they have trouble playing a full-strength team in future games. It's not very nice.

ReZ; the ref was skill 7, so bruise would've meant you gave away free kicks (I still think bruise is useless). You had three defenders and very offensive on with no offside traps, which meant that any breakaways would've een punishing. Your subs that came on the pitch were pretty poor. Yeah there's a lot of luck involved but i think you played a formation that is riskier should the dice roll against you. I do feel for you though buddy - We all have our shit seasons. If you get relegated then consider it a season of form training!
