    GDC 2009

I'm anticipating NOTHING... therefore I won't be dissapointed but I may be pleasantly surprised.
  2. That sounds about right for single player, but for two players, I'm pretty sure it's double.
  3. Single Player 20,000 = B 40,000 = A Multiplayer 40,000 = B 80,000 = A
  4. Hmm useful to know I've thanked the A.I quite a bit so Sheva does often pick up items for me, she's more of a help than a hindrance Imo. I'm surprised that a lot of people get annoyed with the A.I, as I think it's pretty well programmed tbh, maybe some haven't been thanking the A.I enough.
  5. Awesome, just got The Works achievement, ty for the tip HoT, took me a few tries (I was using too powerful a handgun at first >>') but I got it. Now just the grind of farming treasure to pay for all those weapons / upgrades... -_- *Edit* I figured out a good way to accumulate cash for upgrades fast, anyone who has the 'Bad Blood' achievement should know about the 'Heart of Africa' and tbh I think this had to be by far the quickest way to get the cash required.
  6. I got her this... Judas Priest : Metalworks 'cos she likes them and so do I tbh as they are pretty awesome.
  7. I never really liked or disliked her tbh so I'm gonna remain as neutral as possible here and just say that she was human and what she had to go through was no doubt a painful ordeal for any human being to endure, regardless of their age; she chose to spend her last few remaining months on earth gaining financial support for her family, how she did it does not matter because I think that pretty much anyone in that situation would do the same thing. Yes she may have made her fair share of 'mistakes' prior to before she was diagnosed, but then we all make mistakes, we are human and so was she, R.I.P Jade, no judgement from me.
  8. Yep, best place to do it is Chapter 3-2 Execution Ground - because afaik it only works on the tribal Manjini that can jump really high - create a 'disturbance' by killing one of them, then wait at the top of the ladder at the start of the chapter, they will come to you, jumping up - where a normal bodied person would usually climb a ladder - and you basically just have a headshot lined up for you, all you need to do then is actually execute one. Just three more achievements to go for me now, Stockpile - get all weaps - Take it to the Max - upgrade all weaps fully - and The Works - Chain together the maximum number of combos together in one go - however the hell you're supposed to do that lol Idk but I'll figure it out as I'm determined to get 1000 G on this.
  9. Hmm this sounds like it's going back to the roots of the series... allbeit adding a modern twist to it as well but I reckon this could be a half-decent re-imagining rather than the Wolfenstein in name only shooters that came out on the original Xbox.
  10. Interpol are awesome, I've loved that album since it came out, I have their previous albums too which are definitely worth picking up.
  11. I was pretty much convinced even before the preview, but it's certainly helped to reinforce what's good about the game.
  12. People aren't buying it soley for the cameras... they are low-res and only meant to be used for fun and maybe the odd game, it's the new interface and the Downloadable games that are where it's gonna be at. ^^ On a sidenote I want one of these but have still NOT pre-ordered... why? well I'm still concerned about the possible dead-pixel issue >> it happened with launch DS units, with the DS Lite and it will happen with the DSi as well I'm sure, however much I'd just like to order it from Play.com, I know that if I do and it ends up with a dead pixel, it'll be a bitch to return, I think I may pre-order at my local independant retailer tbh, give them a bit of custom and be safe in the knowledge that it can be easilly swapped if the dead pixel issue arises.
  13. That hands-on has piqued my interest in the game to new levels, thanks for that Dante.
  14. Not really cooking as such but damn it was tasty... M&S meringue nest, Cornish dairy ice-cream, topped off with Askeys chocolate sauce (the type that goes solid when poured) it was good. Anyone else got any favourite epic desserts?
  15. It's a DS Lite but upgraded and thinner New firmware SDHC capable card slot Dual camera's Slightly larger, sharper screens Opera Web browser built-in DSi ware can be downloaded Can play Music Can edit stuff with bits of software Thats about all there is you need to know atm.
  16. I love Mercenaries mode in RE5, I've just unlocked...
  17. I was listening to Third today (quite possibly for the third time come to think of it) and I'm starting to appreciate it now, I have actually liked tracks by Portishead for a good few years now, I just never got around to buying any of their albums until recently I have Dummy as well and I think I will pick up their self-titled album sometime soon.
  18. They belong in a Museum! I've just finished collecting all the treasures in the game, some of them were pretty well hidden, onto the emblems next. : peace:
  19. I've just finished Resi 5 for the third time, done it on Amateur, Veteran and Professional modes now. Abour 7 and a half hours on Pro mode though >> are there any good rewards for getting less than a certain time on Pro?
  20. Tooie is nowhere near as bad as some make it out to be but it's definitely not as good as reviews said it was at the time earlier, personally I think it does have a good deal of the magic and charm of the first and while it's not equal (not by a long shot) some of the new ideas in it were awesome like the split-up pads and some of the transformations, the only thing I really hate about it other than the obvious spoilt level design is Banjo's voice >< it would have been better if they had maintained the original instead of trying to make him sound more 'macho' it's sounds so wrong and forced... >>
  21. Happy Birthday Haden! ^^
  22. RE5 might not be as good as RE4 in some respects, mainly the fact that Resi 4 laid down the foundations for Resi 5 but Imo it's like this as far as the stronger points go... Size of game - Resi 4 Story - Resi 5 Gameplay - Resi 4&5 Boss Battles - Resi 4 Controls - Resi 4 Mercenaries - Resi 5 Those are the main points for me without getting too finite and getting into the weapons, different enemies etc, also graphics don't come into it as the games are a generation apart. So basically Resi 4 is better in some respects but some of the advancements that RE5 offers are most welcome, the best additions for me personally are the inventory system (even though I did like organising the attache case in RE4) and Co-op Mercenaries mode, both are truly great games though and the whole thing about them straying from the original concept really doesn't matter that much Imo, the series has just evolved. Mind you it would be nice in the next one if they had a few more puzzles but defintiely not as many as in the originals, maybe keep the over-the shoulder view but have certain sections that are more restrictive to keep both kinds of Resi fans happy and obviously make the main adventure solo again, because as good as the co-op is in Resi 5 I'm not sure if they will do it again for the next title, they could add it in as an extra mode though, or just keep it to Mercenaries because that mode in co-op truly is epic. ^^ So yeah, in summary they are both quality titles that have a lot of decent points to be said for each. : peace:
  23. Happy Birthday Oxigen Waste! ^^
  24. Hmm? so if you join someone elses game, you lose any progress on whatever current file you had open? and all your inventory? Fail... >>
