  1. @Vileplume2000 That's a genuinely fantastic job you've done with bringing back Throwback Thursday and covering Wario Land 4 in addition to the N-E Game Club in detail. Excellent stuff.
  2. Sure, let me know 5 mins before you're about to start and I'll hunt with you for a while.
  3. My answer would be... Neither, save your money for better games. But seeing as you said one or the other... Battlefield V without hesitation. I haven't played either betas or whatever, that's just my instant reaction based on what I've heard about both games, so it's a pretty unbiased opinion for what it's worth... I'm not meaning to sound too harsh on either game series, they've just fallen way out of favour with me over the years and completely off my radar.
  4. What's wrong with the Xbox One Elite Controller? It's of much better build quality than the regular controller, easily allows for a wired connection and has interchangable sticks/d-pad. Yeah the price... obviously, I got mine cheaper though as the time and the fact that the face buttons are colourless but aside from that, I've found it to be fantastic... ...when I actually play my Xbox One. Which is actually a reasonable amount recently thanks to Forza Horizon 4.
  5. No worries, thanks to you both for sticking around when I shoowed up so late, it was nice to still get a few quests in. Always good to get G-Rank armour, that defence boost will really help. Likewise, cheers to @RedShell for the tips on how to effectively maintain your palico. I can't believe I had gone so long without realising how to properly equip skills etc for my main palico, Azel. If you want to farm stuff @Mokong then go to Bherna, then go to the palico ranch and talk to Neko, who will set you up. Just go to, Order Items > Request a Trade, then select your palico to farm with, the cycles and make sure you have plenty of Lagniapples.
  6. My vote goes to Castlevania as well, definitely a game everyone should play at least once.
  7. SUPER MARIO PARTY Review written by @Ashley
  8. Ah, now I was planning on joining you tonight but... I'm already playing Monster Hunter... World for the first time in ages as I'm helping someone out... though it has occured to me that I could play both and I'm willing to try if you like? I'd be playing in portable mode though and wouldn't be able to type really but we could give it a go.
  9. No worries, I'm glad to hear that you managed to get a few quests done though. Sure, we can hunt some monsters tomorrow then.
  10. I've just seen your message, I'll be right on. Edit - well I'm online now anyway, so if anyone wants to join me for some hunts (pass 4444) then they are welcome to.
  11. I like the NES controller, it's solid enough but it's impossible to deny that it has been bettered several times over now. (even though it didn't stop me nearly buying these) So these controllers are playing heavily on NEStalgia... ...I'll see myself out
  12. I didn't even get that far, after the poor implementation of adding a delivery address I just gave up. They should have tied it into the Nintendo Store UK instead, at least that works. If they are reverting payments for the controllers... that doesn't inspire much confidence, maybe they somehow didn't make enough despite limiting it to subscribers?
  13. I hope everything is OK Glen, if you've got other commitments or can't attend for technical reasons then we understand but it definitely won't be the same without you.
  14. *sharpens blades* Lock up your Astalos' I'm in!
  15. I will buy anything that Shin'en try their hand at... ...except for if it turns out to be a Battle Royale game. (but even then I'd be tempted) All jokes aside, I love their games, especially since releasing the original F.A.S.T on the Wii and I also have their soundtracks which are fantastic on their own. My money would have been on ports of the Nanostray or Iridion titles but if they stated that it would be something different to what they usually do then... ...I guess that rules out Anti-Gravity Racing, Shmups, Licensed 2D Platformers, Third-Person Action Platformers, Arcade Sports Simulation and Puzzle games. So, whatever it is should to prove to be interesting at the very least.
  16. If you don't already have an Xbox One then I would say to go for the X but then again, if you still have a good old 1080P HDTV like me, then the S is still a very viable option. Even though I prefer the OG model... but I guess they don't make it any more. Do you own or are you intending to get a 4K TV within the next two years or so? If this is the case then I'd go for the X but if not then I'd try and get a good deal on an S.
  17. Anyone else a fan of the Forza Horizon series? I'll be picking up Forza Horizon 4 when it comes out, I just thought this video was interesting, showing the differences between Xbox One and Xbox One X. I'm intending to keep my Xbox One original for as long as possible but it's nice to see the various improvements on both machines. Time to dig out that Xbox racing wheel soon I reckon.
  18. You're most welcome as always @Mokong it was a pleasure to hunt alongside you and @RedShell plus I had a blast anyway. I'd almost forgotten how much fun it is to be launched into the air mid-combo. It made for some funny screenshots and video captures.
  19. *raises Dual Blades* I shall heed the call of the N-E Brotherhood hunting horn! (Be on in a couple of minutes)
  20. Hmm interesting... Well, if all this turns out to be true then I can imagine them doing the following... Carry on the Switch Online Service NES and SNES games to play online, possibly add N64, probably add in GB, GBC, GBA. Release all of the above as an option to purchase seperately on their Virtual Console Switch label. Have the likes of GameCube and DS titles added as Virtual Console titles or full on remakes and/or physical collections, especially for GC games. Anything seems possible at this point.
  21. Retro Gaming Cables are having a sale because they are changing the Scart ends of their cables to include their logo. (presumably injected into the plastic, like with the other end) Anyway, up to 50% their current cables, the only difference being, that they have standard Scart connectors which are still of excellent quality. https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/index.php?route=product/special&page=1 These are all high quality RGB cables, well worth getting. If you're at all unsure and just want to make some snap purchases before they sell out... Go for C-Sync cables for best compatiblity Consoles which are RGB capable as standard include SNES, MegaDrive, Saturn, Playstation Consoles which are NOT RGB capable without modification include N64, PC Engine Duo Though they do seem to be selling out fast already... Out of Stock - PS1(Luma), PS2(Luma), SNES(CSYNC), XBOX(CSYNC), Neo Geo AES(CSYNC) In Stock - Wii(CSYNC), PS1(CSYNC), PS2(CSYNC), GC(CSYNC), PC Engine(CSYNC) These are NOT the PACKAPUNCH cables (those are double the price) but they are still going to be decent quality cables for the price. Anyway, I've done most of the legwork there, maybe this will help someone, maybe it won't... as it stands, I might get a few bits for my Framemeister as I already have my cables.
  22. Timespinner looks nice... ...I'll wait for the Switch port and then add it to the backlog. Looks good though.
