Yeah, the Wii's connection is perfectly able to get an average throughput of 15 Mbps, which is enough for any game at all. Lag will happen because light needs to travel. If you play someone in Australia, it'll take 0.6 seconds for the data to travel there in the best case; that's how lag occurs.

I'd say the increased polygon count, dynamic colour, extreme texture improvements, water effects, physics, in-depth field blurring and the huge increase of geometrical complexity of the levels do make quite a difference. Sunshine is a really nice looking game. Seriously, that's such a random thing to say.

I hate to say it, but maybe the game is simply not quite as good as people made it out to be. I kind of hate the selective interpretation (not from you) of the scores, praising them if the scores are high and then simply ignoring (or blaming bad review) them if they're not quite as high as expected. I mean, yeah, the game looks ace, and I will give it a try definetely, but the reviewers probably have a point.

New technology in graphics processing will probably make the Wii2 blow away the 360 and PS3, (hell, it'll be 2012 FFS) but yet be underpowered compared to the 720 and PS4. And to be fair, I couldn't give a damn. There's a certain point after which the additional processing power won't make any noticable difference, and the next new gen will approach that. A cheap (?) small quiet console is very important as well.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is the most beautiful game Nintendo have ever made. I daresay it even tops Galaxy still, though I still have to give that a proper play due to lack of time and Wii.

That's not what the PSN update does, it brings additional functionality in the fancy interface it as, makes it more Xbox Lively. That's nothing Nintendo would do, and it's not really necessary as far as I'm concerned.

That's fine, but you might want to wait a week for Intel Penryn Core 2 Duos? They're coming out really soon now, and they supposedly clock over to above 4 GHz on just air cooling. That's something I'd wait for at any rate. Also, as for the sound card, I heard the Asus Xonar D2 provides the same performance as an X-Fi for less money, but you might want to Google that.

Yeah well, that's for me true to some extent, I always liked training my young players in the Master League, but I have a feeling that you simply don't need four stats for passing, for example. A simple Attack, Defense, Passing, Shooting, Strength, Speed and Technique stat would probably suffice, and stuff like shot technique and dribbling could be derived from those under the surface of the game. It's not an as realistic representation as the games are now, but for the sake of fun, I'm alright with it. Maybe they could up the amount to 10 or so for things like Team Work and Aggression, but even then this will probably suffice.

To be honest, I play PES for a casual game of football, and although seven traits might be low (ten or so would be better), I welcome this simplification. I don't feel this is dumbing down, but restores more skill in the actual gameplay. There were a lot of redundant stats in the original PES lineup as far as I'm concerned. Like De Saint-Expury said, perfection is achieved not when there's nothing more to add, but when there's nothing left to take away. And yeah, the demographic image these developers have is too stereotypical, which is why I proposed the Wii Gamer's Edition a few weeks ago. But to suggest Nintendo may have forced Konami to do this is stupid.
