OK so the new year brings the start of the new season and just as importantly, a new thread!! Let's check out this years runners and riders...

Epic snow!! Really large and falling really slowly!

Was bloody cold and frosty here today, but I put it to good use and went for a scenic walk up the near by hill taking photo's... More in the photography thread. Along with Goafers day!

Yeah it looks ALOT better, i'll keep somewhat of an eye on this one now.

^ haha, yeah! I'm playing between this and Wii Fit Plus, also got HotD: Overkill to start sometime! The 2nd boss really annoyed me at the time because I felt it was being a tad unfair, might give it another go tonight.

Though for me that's another issue because the two styles seem to conflict one another... the youngest looking doctor dressed to look like someone much much much older.

Ah thanks! That was the episode with the barn dance and scarecrows wasn't it? I can't remember the specifics of it very well. I just watched the new trailer... wasn't liking it much I'm afraid! He didn't look like a man with a past, it seemed like he was a new guy out to learn everything... though I'm sure his past will come across more in actual episodes... but it really does look alot more 'teeny' and even the logo is more of a sarah jayne adventures, young looking logo. I'm a bit dissapointed to see the Angels return though... sure they're Moffets creation, but they were so fantastic in the first place because they were so refreshingly new, different and dramatic in their one off episode, which was a very special thing! Now we know what to expect from them they become less scary.

Yeah I'm playing through this atm aswell. I'm up to the 2nd world boss, all chests found, but man is this boss an absolute bitch! I know exactly what to do, but your given so little time to do everything!

Loved the episode, very emotional. Really gonna miss David Tennant. What a legend, and I thank him for all the awesome moments he's brought us! Loved the whole Timelords bit, and everything with the Master, I warmed to him so much more in this episode alone thanks to the fantastic scenes he had with the Doctor. I figured it took alot of time for the regeneration because he was slowly being poisoned by the radiation or something, as opposed to an instant gunshot or the like. Who was the lady at the book signing, I didn't understand that reference, I don't think I heard what the book was about. I really don't like the new doctor, he actually somewhat scares me!... which isn't what you want when watching one of your favourite shows!! It looks like he's been made out of plastercine or something! ...Wonder how quickly before he regenerates again!

It is, but then a lot of people seem prepared to do it for all the music games, and I guess Tony Hawk did it recently. If Nintendo had made it, then it would be a solid investment, because it would likely get a decent sequel, and possible implementation elsewhere, but yeah, from an unknown developer, no thanks.

I actually really like the concept of this, but I'm not sure what they've come up with in terms of a game is quite enough... would need to know ALOT more about the world/tracks/games etc... If this had been made by Nintendo and you could cycle around the whole of the Wii Sports/Fit Island and had a range of Wii Sports/Fit style minigames and even some Mario Kart style tracks, then you just know it would be an essential purchase. But I just don't have the faith in that developer to create something as engaging or fun.

Yeah between those two, I'd certainly see Metroid as the more August-October release and Mario pushed as the Christmas release, but then I can see Mario being ready before then, perhaps even for a summer release.

I've had a couple of teeth removed to make room for others... you'll be fine! Yes the numbing injections are a bit painful, and really it's more one of those 'shut your eyes, screw your face up, ow, ow, ow, grin and bare it, uncomfortable' kind of moments than downright painful. If that makes sense?!

Yeah what Rez said really. I thought it was bloody fantastic!! quite possibly my film of the year. Before seeing the film I was somewhat skepticle of the 'blues', but believe me, you'll believe in them once you see them in their environment. Visually (in 3D) it's the most incredible film I've ever seen. I just fell in love with all of it!

Yeah I justed watched this... and yeah, it's pretty when two majorly multiplatform music games on their umptenth edition get in amongst the nominations. There have been a number of games overlooked... HotD:Overkill, Wii Sports Resort, Tiger Woods 10 (MotionPlus version), Little Kings Story etc... But Nintendo REALLY need to step things up next year!

Haha, omg, why would you ever want to control a game like that!! What an effort! Your right dwarf, they'd need to completely build games around the system, and given that even a couple of years on developers still haven't got their heads around how to work with the Wii properly, Natal could just end up with... Orchestra minigames ftw!

I can't remember if we got an answer towards the idenity of that women that showed up in the church and on the TV etc... but anyone else think it kinda looked like a much older Donna? Just wondering if she's come back from the future to deliver a message to her Gramps?
