Serebii says that if you're transferring games over you don't have to pay again, you only do to get the updated version for Gamepad play. But still that should really be a free feature. They need to announce N64/Gamecube games.

I'm not sure they'd do such a contrast as to have a 'realistic' main Zelda and a cartoon four swords multiplayer... or do you reckon they might make a more realistic four swords too? Personally I'm hoping for one of the more arty/cartoony Wind Waker/Skyward Sword Zelda's.

If you transfer them over and play them in Wii Mode do you not have to pay anything for them then?

They need to nail the gameplay though. If it's like Melee I'll buy it in an instant, but if it's like Brawl I won't buy it.

In terms of the games announced today, they aren't great in terms of what I myself like to play... I didn't play Xenoblade, I'm not a huge RPG fan, although the new one looks very nice, one to watch! Wind Waker HD is nice, but I'm not sure I'd buy it over brand new games I'm yet to play. Epic Yarn I didn't buy because I heard it was very easy. Hopefully the Yoshi version will be better here. The Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem game just isn't my cup of tea. Wii Party U, well it could be fun, but yeah. --- Still the games are coming... Mario Kart and Smash Bros I'll most likely buy. But can't wait to see what Retro Studios are working on as that will be a really huge influence for me in terms of when I buy the console!

So long as there's actually stuff happening in that Overworld!... otherwise I'd take Skyward Sword's approach anytime.

The fact you could tell there should have been a temple there was a bit jarring, but I did enjoy the race back to Outset Island across the stormy sea! Felt like something quite different and epic for Zelda!

Some people will have to take back what they've said about muddy looking 360/PS3 games in the past however if this stays in it's current colour palette. I don't understand why after Xenoblade, they've now de-saturated everything? In it's simplest form, why is the grass beige and not green for example, even that would make huge difference. Please brighten it up a little!

Yeah I think this particular Nintendo Direct was very much born out of the fact that a) the console hasn't maybe sold what they expected and b) that they have no games out in Q1 (and a dubious looking Q2).

But doing a ALTTP or MM remake on Wi U would be creating a brand new game. Why would you want that instead of actually creating a brand new Zelda? With Wind Waker/Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword they can just make graphical changes as we're seeing here.

Come on, the Pikmin 3 situation has been ridiculous. In that case they should structure their reveals better/had more games in place before they launched the Wii U.

They were being talked about for 3DS remakes. This game's gonna have to come with a Sunglasses bundle if they insist on keeping the grass that colour! :p

Yeah release dates continue to be Nintendo's biggest problem. The fact Pikmin 3 still hasn't got one, even if it's in May or something is ridiculous, it should be absolutely locked in and dated now. The whole 'window'/'we're looking at this vague period, but we might delay it into this vague period' gets annoying.

I dunno, I thought todays ND was the first of its kind tbh. With this one it was like Nintendo felt they hadn't been treating their long term fans properly lately and came right out and addressed the major issues. Their last few ND's have been terrible IMO. This was almost like Nintendo Direct Apology! :p

Yeah the disappointment should only come if this game does not ultimately fund a Pilotwings Wii U or other such much wanted Nintendo franchise sequels. It's alright to have these games, so long as we get the other stuff too.

@Wii Don't think Amusement Vision exist anymore though. I think if it weren't for that I think we'd have had an F-Zero sequel by now. I'd explode of Metroid Prime Trilogy got the same love as this!

That guy's basically the new Viewtiful Joe! Game continues to look awesome. This is a definite purchase for me when I get the Wii U I think.

Type game thing... ... hope you don't need to have 3-4 Wiimotes, cause that ain't gonna happen without a price drop on them!
