  1. There are so many other games doing this sort of stuff better than Capcom right now... they've got a lot of catching up to do. The one thing they have in their favour is people love the classic characters, but they haven't half ballsed it all up in recent years!... there was once a story that people were actually invested in too, which Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 5 ultimately destroyed (Resi 4 could always have been a side story, as it in fact was). For the next game I'd love a reunion of Leon and Claire, my favourite characters from the series.
  2. Whilst Balance Board pervs on in the background :p
  3. Yeah that's fine I don't mind holding on to it for a bit. I'll send you a PM or something sometime after that weekend.
  4. If you're interested I have a brand new copy of Ni No Kuni, that I've been thinking of selling because I think it's too big of a game for me to commit to. It's not sealed, but it's not even been in the PS3 yet or anything. I was thinking of putting it on ebay with a Buy It Now of £20... but if you'd like it? Free postage. I also have Heavy Rain too if that's another game you'd be interested in?
  5. I prefer our collectors statue, but there looks like a lot of stuff in that one!
  6. Is screen tearing something that can be patched?
  7. Here's the review... The screen tearing looks terrible, but other than that, looks like it's a winner!
  8. IGN are in the minority then!
  9. IGN Review 7.3
  10. This is going off topic, but I'd say the controls in Goldeneye 007 are a game changer. Tilting the nunchuck to lean round corners was inspired and worked so naturally. It's almost guaranteed to bring a small smile/'this is brilliant' look to the face of whoever plays it.
  11. If we're to believe the hype/Serebii then big change has come to Pokémon on the 3DS... and it still feels like the same thing to me. If that's the case, then they really aren't doing enough/the 3DS isn't a capable machine for such change. I don't feel any of it is that exciting.
  12. HOW DARE YOU!!.. I hope you don't teach the kids at school to dream!
  13. I heard that Mercedes video before and wasn't that keen on the sound. I'm hoping it's not all that reflective (despite that defeting the purpose of the video).
  14. Nailed the experience and potential @Fierce_LiNk People have been crying out for a sequel to Pokémon Snap too... like you say it could be a whole side-quest game of it's own in Pokémon Wii U!
  15. For me I see the possibility of a real story driven adventure, beautifully drawn and animated. Really feel a part of a world. Taking off into the sky on your Pokémon, jumping on their back and crossing the Ocean wind waker style. Doing battle along the ways. Also it's an opportunity to offer the series to people who are not into handheld gaming or are looking for something else from the series. In terms of the gamepad itself... using it to hold up to the TV to scan the environment and to scan Pokemon just like the Pokedex acts in the series would be a lot of fun. Give it a proper voice. They could also do some NFC related stuff if they wanted. True. Just feels like so much untapped potential though, given the personality of the Pokémon themselves. I think you could become far more absorbed into the world and have a far more engaging/emotional experience, than you ever could with the handheld games.
  16. Being used to plug a hole is the last way I'd see it. It's not a Wii U specific issue... it just so happens the Wii U Gamepad would be an ideal opportunity. It more about offering a different more appealing Pokémon experience to those tired of the same lather rinse repeat.
  17. If it wasn't for Luca di Montezemelo (spelling?... I'm not gonna spend any more time on the guy than I have to), I'd be down with this move. But it ended badly between him and Kimi and I can't see him as a guy who would want to admit he was wrong... nor can I see Kimi wanting to put himself in the environment where he is working under this guy again. Dominicalli has always maintained a good relationship with Kimi, and even recenetly said Alonso and Kimi would be his dream F1 pairing. The positive this time around is that Kimi would have James Allison in his corner... who hopefully has gone to Ferrari from Lotus and told them what an absolute fuck up they made in letting Kimi go and treating him the way they did. Kimi's drive at Lotus has ultimately shown everyone in the paddock how badly Ferrari mismanaged him last time, and that all their bullshit was ultimately that. Along with James Allison, Rory Byrne being back at Ferrari would also be a plus for Kimi. Hopefully they can get whatever the hell is going on with their development and wind tunnel sorted out. Ferrari also has an advantage in designing their own 2014 engines and in tandem with their 2014 car. Also hopefully Kimi might have heard the Ferrari engine may be stronger than that of Renaults. Worst case scenario for me is that Ferrari are just doing it to take Kimi away from Red Bull, because ultimately Kimi is the key to either team winning the constructors championship in terms of his points scoring consistency there is no one better to have on board. ... And that once they secure him, they'll just treat him in the same way they did before, and not give him a car suited to his driving style, which is the opposite to Alonso's. Again James Allison for me is the saving grace in all this. Well that and Ferrari would need to think twice about pissing off Kimi's fan base for a second time... along with all the new fans and respect he's gained from inside and outside the paddock this time round... everyone will be much more aware of what's going on. I have to admit, the Red Bull package seems a strange one to overlook, so if this rumour is true then I hope it's because he knows something we don't. (can you tell I've been thinking about this a lot recently :p)
  18. That's like saying Mario as a concept is built around 2D platforming... or Donkey Kong around an arcade machine?... So Pokémon is so ultimately shallow that it can't do anything else successfully?
  19. No Serebii you are not understand... what you're talking about is important to the the handheld Pokémon! This wouldn't be handheld Pokémon! It would be the Mario Galaxy to your New Super Mario Bros... two completely different experiences. One very handheld orientated, the other far more story driven, grander and fleshed out offering a different experience. You would still have the handheld games for what you're talking about. Don't advertise it to the Japanese market as heavily then... in the same way that they're not interested in 3D Mario games. And just like 3D Mario, this Pokémon game wouldn't do the same numbers as the handheld games, but it's important to diversify to stay fresh... offer different people different opportunities to enjoy a franchise and its characters... those who have either grown tired of the current formula, those that hadn't taken an interest before, or those new to it.
  20. Ok let me put this very simply, watch this trailer... Now... replace the Familiars creatures with Pokémon And replace the story and cutscenes with an animated Pokémon Movie style one... ... What would you now class this game as? A Pokémon console RPG right? Now add in using the Gamepad - To scan the environments for hidden Pokémon etc.. - Using it as a fully voiced Pokedex in the palm of your hands Now add in online aspects... - Trading of Pokémon and items - Miiverse intergration through Pokecentre's where you can leave messages for one another and... - Invite one another for battles in a nearby Gym or Stadium, which are where online matches could play out in a Pokémon Stadium type way. Therefore retaining a social aspect but importantly a different one, and a different experience that perhaps appeals to other gamers who do not go to school or meet up in groups. Does that not sound like an exciting prospect and a different enough game to co-exist with the handheld titles?
  21. Had me lol'ing anyways :p ... (post credits ending too)
  22. Don't forget the Online Gaming board thread guys! http://n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36166&page=6
  23. You seem to be thinking of it as playing like the handheld games... but on a home console. I'm not sure you understand or are listening to what anyone else is actually suggesting for this game.
  24. Technically it's two home console games in Pilotwings NES and Wii Sports Resort, even if there is Pilotwings on the 3DS, but yeah :p Would be cool if you fought on top of floating balloons and then the plane flew threw them popping them to pick you up on its wings.
