Not saying they should, but their home console games could go third party, and they still have their own handheld.
-
Hmm true, though they do seem to be starting to do more single player DLC now.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut

Ah ok thanks! I found the one in the room you have to crawl to. It's the two in the loading bay then... not that I'll be using this rocket launcher mind, but hey :p -
The one thing to consider is I presume there will be a substantial amount of DLC for this game ? (both single and multiplayer) and I assume that DLC probably wont be coming to the Wii U? It's Ubisofts next big franchise, their new Assassins Creed. It will also quit likely be the only Watchdogs in the forthcoming series that the Wii U will recieve. So really which console you buy it on depends on how much you care about the DLC and want to experience in this new franchise moving forward. Ubisoft has been great at supporting the gamepad thus far, though that may be over now, but hopefully they may have something planned for it.

How awesome was being on the deck of the boat during that storm! Beautiful. Doing a no praxis run on the DLC there's a few places I can't get to it seems, but surprisingly there's a lot of secret paths to find to that'll get you most places. Have reached the detention block and stopped for now. Dunno if I'm gonna be able to find all the weapons parts for Quinn, and I can't see how you get into his shop either, but maybe I will do, or I need my augs. There might have been an autosave when you enter the button room you could load? It's worth a look -

haha, yeah when I got to my equipment I was like... 'WTF!... This is it? WHERE'S THE REST OF MY STUFF DAMN YOU' I did read about the no upgrades run as one of the trophies so I might try for it I've only used hand to hand on guards so far I think. I'm in the cargo bay atm (well... the first maybe if there are more) where you get to operate the gangway to get across. I put the energy cell back in the capsule down below and that's where I've stopped for now. Having such a small jump and taking damage from a smaller height takes some thinking about again when navigating that room! It is a nice change of pace, probably a good decision for them to put it in there at this stage! EDIT: Oh also @Mokong, did you know you can shoot doors apart? I hadn't even thought about it, having only done stealth runs, but I saw it in one of the games video reviews or something. Also, there's no mission attached to the sniper rifle you find on the petrol station roof is there, it's just there right? I wondered about it on my first run, it's just that door you can hack that leads to a window with a view of the roof makes it seem like there might be something more to it, but maybe it's simply to show you can get up there should you not have already explored it. -
I want to play this game! *needs a Wii U first*

Surely MGS5 will sell some 10+ million copies?... I'd expect a fair few of those to pick up Ground Zeroes. What happens in Autumn? Starting with Thief next month there'll be a good run off games until then. Is that when MGS5 is intended for? In not a fan of the MGS series.

I wasn't greedy no, I wouldn't do that to the old woman :p There were still questions left unanswered there though. Really need a sequel! Yeah saving Malik was great! I'm playing so much better this time through! I'm utilising my abilities together SO much better and using combinations of them, I'm loving it! It's also satisfying finding a box, using it to slide open and climb in through the window of a guard box and taking him out whilst he's sat at his computer! I'm also utilsing things like purposefully using footsteps to draw a guards attention up from the floor below etc... I genuinely thought I stood a small chance of maxing out all my augs come the end of the game... that was until I just got to the boat and lost everything Is it possible to collect EVERYTHING you had back? or can you just get what the game gives you? The boat is a cool setting, stealthing through it being in such close proximity to guards is great. The mission with Tongs son was fun this time through too -
Oh it will keep momentum/hype going/be purchased by a few million people... just like the MGS2 demo was. I'm just saying it's overpriced.

£40 is a joke for Ground Zeroes. It's being described as The Phantom Pain's tutorial, it should be £9.99.
-
At the rate Nintendo are going with it, you'd be mistaken for thinking maybe they're the ones waiting for someone to show them what to do with it.

Wow that was brilliant, thanks for finding it! They should be selling that, with Iron Man 3 as the extra :p

#01 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Skyward Sword)
Retro_Link replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I think you explained it well. Yeah that was the problem with the sky, it didn't offer you any choices... 'shall I go over the bridge, or go through the river... shall follow the path for a change, or shortcut over the hill'. Although where possible in OOT for example I think you would end up trying to take the most direct route/straightline, you would still have a couple of objects to navigate around on the way. Warping later in the game also shook locations up in the second half. The hurricans acted as distractions to navigate around but were pretty badly implemented/annoyances. They could at least of had some rock formations poking above the clouds to play around with. Also they really should have had a few more other friendlies and enemies about the sky. Hopefully the power of the Wii U means we might be able to see land, sea and sky all interconnected in the next Zelda? with nothing to stop you taking off from the land on the back of your bird/dragon/eagle/Kaepora Gaebora, climbing vertically and then nose diving down over the ocean, creating a wake behind you fly low above the surface. Give us land, an ocean, some islands and a Skyloft to revisit all in one, with a horse, a boat to rent and an animal to get about the sky -

Tbh I don't really feel the sky overworld has a great deal less to explore than the fields in OOT, MM or TP... the difference I guess is you feel more connected with it because you're grounded on it and because other places lead directly off of it and you can ride into them, but other than that it's just a few holes in the ground and rocks to bomb, not really any different than what you have in the Sky. The sky had quite a similar setup to Wind Waker, in that the main 'temple' islands were the equivalent of the holes you skydived down through, both had some interesting puzzle like islands where you'd find things or do secondary tasks, and then the rest were just empty rocks really. I'd agree with those who have said Skyloft has the most homely feeling of any of the Zelda's. Everyone had a home they went home to and everyone had someone they'd do during the day and I loved that about the place. I enjoyed exploring it and finding it's little secrets. The school, the dorms, and all your classmates etc... I thought were brilliant. How getting up in the night felt like sneaking out to go on an adventure. Lon Lon Ranch gives Ocarina of Times over world an advantage because it's a very integral part of the story. I think the pumpkin bar was fun but yeah it didn't really serve much of a purpose. Had you been able to fly at night it could have become a very important outpost. I did like it's atmosphere though. -
Thing is though how is this game being played? Is it purely being played on the gamepad with nothing on the TV, because wouldn't you see the thing straight ahead on the TV first, or holding the gamepad up to look straight ahead? I think the gamepad is struggling because there aren't actually that many scenario's where it actually makes good gameplay sense to use it. @Aneres11 kind of like the music levels in Rayman. The thing with that though is it kind of makes more sense to put that game on the 3DS and play it purely on a touchscreen system. I definitely think puzzle/board games are really where it could stand out though, and have it in the center of the livingroom. Dammit someone make a Kororinpa game for it!! It's crazy it hasn't happened!

A sequel to that using the Gamepads gyro's to control the level would be great! You could drop a marble down a hole and it drop on the gamepad screen, where you'd have complete a different puzzle with it and dropping it back on to the TV screen. Same with Monkey Ball... but they kinda ruined that series.

lol at the DLC, I'll look out for that. But I think teeth in the PS3 version are ok Hmm wonder why I'm now missing that rumble, it was perfect, the rumble doesn't make a noise, and gives a really awesome thudding in your hands, it's cool when you're sneaking under the floor beneath a mech. Ah well. Yeah I get that weird camera movement in conversations :p so strange that these seem to be new problems for the directors cut, you'd think they'd have nailed it this time round. -

I'm playing it on the PS3, but they were released at the same time so it's a bit strange :/ Do you get rumble when you're near a mech? (it's strange to have had it in the original but not here) I get rumble everywhere else. Don't think I've had any choppy cut scenes... although once or twice the shadows/light sourcing has gone a bit strange on the face of a character I'm talking to in an in-game conversation scene. I remember it on Megan's Mum. But I wasn't sure if that was just something gone a bit awry with this new 'improved' :p lighting system they'd put in the directors cut. And and sometimes the camera seems to switch a bit to often during some in game conversations, but again I wasn't sure if they were trying to be a bit more dynamic or something, haha. Oh also the cutscene at the Garden Pods when Belltower arrived seemed a slightly odd colour. I think the PC version got a patch. Guess the consoles not so much. -

Ah yes you are right about the part where you talk to Darrow on the comm radio. Cool, I didn't get to play The Missing Link first time through as I was playing the original version of the game. I look forward to doing so this time! Yep the game is fantastic! I really hope there's a sequel, there are quite a lot of unresolved things from this game, but we can talk about those once you've completed it --- Also my Directors Cut is a little bit glitchy... The comm radio symbol and noise go off randomly sometimes in the top corner. I've just googled this and other people have it too, they say it might go off in the same place directors commentary is supposed to play if you have that option turned on. And weirdly, my controller doesn't rumble when near one of the mech. bots stomping around, which is a small thing I liked about the game from before. Think there have been a couple of texture problems too, and once the weapons seller didn't load for a few seconds, but oh well, it's still great.
